I bet you would not be healthy if you only ate dried and canned food. Same for dogs. Simple, yet you don't understand.
-
That's why a lot of people don't feed raw. They don't realise the dogs stomach ph is unable to handle raw. After they altered stomach ph with shitty dry food. Cooking and drying kills good bacteria and many other beneficial things.
-
The ph of your dogs stomach is altered by dry food so that's why your boy couldn't stomach it.
-
You have simply been sold a product that claims to be better than nature. Companies do anything for profit... ANYTHING.
-
They can't do better than they way they where designed to eat so how can they do better on any other diet they were not designed for?
-
The stool would match the diet so it is about nutrition/diet.

http://www.vetsallnatural.com.au/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=64&Itemid=80 read that then give me grief

And I didn't mean to come across as rude before as my goal is only to remind you that natures way is simply the best and since we can't catch prey the next best thing is to try to imatate what prey food would be like. Makes sense to me...

The suppliment powder and oil makes up for the fact that its illegal for me to kill kangaroos and feed that etc. Don't give me shit about it! And yes I did miss a few ingredients yet even my incomplete list would kick dry foods arse! I forgot to add bone etc.
-
And add some offal too!
-
What about a diet the way my mother Nature does it? Apparently dogs eat the green matter inside the stomach of it's prey first then, offal and then meat and bone. So when my pup arrives I will be feeding mince meat with added soaked wholemeal grains, vitamin suppliment powder and omega oils. Read about how shit dry food really is! It makes the stomach PH level completely out of balance and that's just one reason not to feed dry. If I can do that without power and no fridge, just an esky and ice. I'm sure you can do it much easier!

Introducing: Sailor the female White Swiss Shepherd. (At around 4 weeks)

...and thanks for all the welcomes everyone :)

Apparently vet checked vaccinated and microchiped. Hope she's genetically healthy.

She's not from a fulltime breeder, just purebred ad on gumtree, from brisbane that's now gone. Glad to hear yours likes water, I was hoping that they would enjoy swimming like my Kelpie did.
-
Just a spoiled pet for now :) then when I train her, maybe do something like agility. She's going to be living on 200 acre community land but nobody has moved to the MO but me and my partner and the guy who set it up... so plenty of space to walk and train her + rivers and a dam to swim in. She will love it here :)

Can't stop thinking of her...... waiting... waiting... I got her a nice white leather collar with a pink heart shaped id tag engraved with the name Sailor. I came up with it before I knew she was going to be white (like a sailors uniform). Was planning on a normal German Shepherd before I found her.

I'm waiting for a beautiful female white German Shepherd puppy to grow a little bigger and be delivered! She will be loved, well trained and brought up on a diet imitating natures way, as best I can manage. For now I'm thinking of feeding beef/chicken mince, bones, offal, mixed grains, vegies, nutrient suppliment powder and omega oil suppliment. After reading alot about raw diets I think it is the best way to go. Dogs have not evolved to eat dry dog biscuits after all.
