German Shepherd Fights Off Muggers In Canberra
p_stampy replied to Shepherd 08's topic in General Dog Discussion
Actually that's a good point. I'm about 4 months preggo now... I dropped off to sleep on the couch at about 7pm last night, woke up at 11 ?? and she was curled up beside my head, as soon as I got up to go to bed, she followed me in. Also often follows me to the toilet now, and waits *right* outside the door. In saying that, I have no idea where she is at the moment. Outside in the sun I'd say. -

Good puppy! I'd like to think my half GSD would do something like this for me if I was in the same situation, but I get the feeling she'd run in the other direction LOL -
Awesome pics! I know what you mean about a scorned ridgeback... We finally went on a holiday this year and had someone come over morning and night... but as soon as I got home and opened the back door I just got a glare and Jade walked straight past me.

Yeh, luckily it only lasted that arvo. The next day after a walk we're back to cuddles again

Just a HUGE PUBLIC MEGA THANKS to Nic for looking after Jadey, she did an excellent job. Jade snubbed me when we got home!!!

My dog is able to get under the doona without assistance. Flips it up a bit with her nose, put front paws in bed, then crawls in as flat as possible... then gets annoyed if *I* move.

Don't people sometimes start to act differently when they have brain tumors? ...hopefully its nothing like that though.

Dr. Chris Brown On 7pm Project Tuesday Night...

I watched it last night and it REALLY opened my eyes, it was much worse than what I thought it could be. Until I joined DOL 5+ yrs ago, I had no idea about it. Even though everyone talks about it on here, the pictures showed last night made me realise how horrible it really is. I thought it was a good (but very sad) segment on the show, that got a fair bit of air time compared to other stories on the show. Also, off topic, but wtf was with YourGen last night, using animals on the show?? I ended up turning it off because the pigs sounded ...upset/distressed when the contestants picked them up to put them in a trailer for a game. -
cool? you don't normally see lots of dogs?

oooh I got a similar one to that (not as good though!) and another: -
Will dogs definitely eat them? We had mice earlier this year, and I put out bait where my dog coudn't reach it (in the roof), but then i found the mice all outside in the backyard (and very much dead). I can only guess my dog didn't touch them though.

Ive been on short walks with a beer before. Once on the way back from a 4 hour walk, me and my mate bougth a 6 pack. There was about half an hour of the walk to go at that stage
-
Ive got the opposite problem here when its cold.. LOL
-
That's horrible - maybe she just put it out for toilies though, rather than "booted out" in the cold... I duno.

Any Ixus should be fine. Mine is 4 years old and has been dropped and whatever else, and still keeps going. It's capabile of taking alright pics: So I can only imagine the new ones are a lot better.

My dog took a bunch of grapes from the back of the bench, and picked each grape off the stalk ..! She has however, eaten a nutella sandwich still in gladwrap - plastic and all.

A friend bought the Canon 1000D when it first came out and he's really happy with it. As for the lenses - they're ok for starting out, but as you progress, you tend to buy different "nice" lenses and no longer need the lenses that come with the camera. They'll be perfect for starting out though

Awesome pics - looks like lots of fun! Jumping into the back of the car to rest is pretty cool!

HAHA Yeh, i know about being under the covers. Jade isn't a huge fan of putting clothes on. Probably because they're mine.

reminds me of this pic i took a couple of days ago:

I agree with being consistant. My dog is allowed up on the couch, this is what it turns into.

My dog doesn't salivate, she just looks really really sad, then looks like shes smiling, then throws up. I find talking to her seems to hold it off for a bit?? It's mainly the twisty streets that get her, once we're on a long stretch its not so bad as she just lies down on teh back seat. It also only happens badly in one of my cars - the other isn't as bad??
