If I took him to school he would never be alone LOL... I am just wondering if the 2 hrs was too long for him to hold it, thats all :) This would be his alone time too.. so probably good for him?

I will be giving him time alone in the crate during the day, to get away from me and play :)

Yes we have a half acre, however, I dont want him left outside :) I was hoping this 1.5 hrs-2hrs max would be OK? I am pretty sure my pup int the past was fine for that time span, was just checking :)

when he is fully immunised, I will be taking him for school pick ups with me, so this is only intially ;)

Hi all I am just wondering how long a puppy is Ok to be confined in a crate when I go out. I will be crate training but live 40 mins from school, I have to go pick up children and drop them of so this can be a 1.5 hr trip and 2 hrs. Is this OK? Pup will be out all day with me in the house and constantly toileted otherwise except between 7.45-9.30 am in the morning and 2pm-4pm evenings. A few days eldest will be home as he is only at uni in the mornings, so will go get him luunch time and he will be home for school pick up, so those days will only be 1.5 hrs whilst I go collect him.. Just wondering what people do with puppies and nipping out? I cannot remember with my last pup, its been so long ago! Weekends will always have people around and I dont work, so days are fine other than these times.. :)

We had our male dog sexed in the UK at around 10mths old, both of his were undescended and he had to have quite invasive surgery to find them I was told they would turn cancerous. He was a rescue, so we had to desex him asap.

Spoke to the breeder and she said not worth the risk, too many nasties going around, so will hold off until the vet gives me the go ahead. We have 4 kids, friends coming around, 2 cats and chickens, so will make sure he meets as many as we can before puppy classes after his shots :)

I was going to enrol my pup into puppy preschool which is from 8 weeks, I thought after a shot they would be safe, how come they do puppy pre school from that age, if they are not

So we are getting a little boy :) it's going to be roughly 7 weeks away, they will be 2 weeks old on Thursday... We can go visit them when they get to 6 weeks :) , so will start buying things in preparation shortly ....

Congratulations on the new puppy :) We also have willow on our list as well as bella ... Not sure for a boy yet, as we don't know which sex, as we cannot pick as I wNt girl and hubby wants boy! so the breeder is :) Looking forward to all the pictures xx

I am getting a Vebo one :) I spoke to them and the police and rescues use them, so hoping they are sturdy enough for a samoyed :)

Hi, joining this part of the forum :) I have made a post in the new introductions, but we are awaiting our pup to come home to us (only born on thursday) so early days, hopefully all will go well and the pups are healthy and well and also their mum :) We have shared our homes with samoyeds before in the UK before we moved to australia, so know what to expect. So hi to you all..

I am also awaiting a puppy :) Our baby samoyed was born on thursday :) We have no idea which sex yet or which pup, leaving it with the breeder to work out with us, but SO excited :)
