Hi Dandy, When I first went to Alfoxton it was for a casual visit to meet the owner and also her full grown dogs Hagar, Giget and Keeda, at the time I was new to the breed and wanted to see them face to face, in fact it was a post on here that led me to the breeder. I kinda fell in love with Hagar who is a black-tri male with a great personality (pic on first page, Hagar on the stool and Giget beside him) It was by coincidence that there were two pups still left for taking out of the current litter (1 black tri girl and 1 black tri boy) We put a verbal hold on either as at the time I wanted to get my OH to see them as well to ensure she was comfortable with the size, about a week later another family wanted the Black-tri girl, so the rest is History :D Maybe it was fate haha :)

My local didn't have the smaller black ones but they did have larger silver ones in packs of 4 and if I flipped them sideways it made a really nice size area for only $28, I then bought a pack of double locking zip-ties which made a really good join, bought two sets as I needed to also block off a few sidings in my yard, also got some of that black copper piping foam insulation tube to put on the bottom but will probably not use it as its prime meat for chewing haha, might add it to the side though to stop any wall dents.

so do you mean this one? 0200 HDR AEt by kirislin, on Flickr Because if you do, I've also been leaning towards that if I dont use any of the combined images. This one's just an honest crop. That one is actually my fav out of the lot, including some of the composites. its really nice and represents allot of different actions

But I'm sure its madness you yern for... correct ? :D

Have you seen this site: VS Chart

I agree, second one I prefer, even though the black dog bottom right is obscured I think it shows a nicer pose for all the other ones.

The worst! I'm running on an aprox timeframe, but it's the bare minimum so I will likely be disappointed. How's the puppy proofing going? Hasn't started, I've been flat tack at work making sure funds are ready for both the pup and upcoming needs like vacs etc, also a new car coming in means I need to move on a few bits as the miss's car has decided to die on us. But its all planned out, going to be boarding up any holes in the garden and adding a temp fence to the siding so play time out there is safe and dog friendly on saturday, going to be heading to bunnings to get compost fences to make a large pen indoors for him while we are out and to also block of certain entrances while we are home (carpeted area's mainly), heading to a large petstock near me for initial suppliers (bed, bowls, collar, brushes, shampoo etc) next comes ensuring there are no gaps under sofa's or areas in his "zone" that he could be trapped or hurt, also making it so no low level cabinets can be opened and all chemicals are on a top shelf, no sockets within chewing range and if there are any putting child safety covers over them. Ben and Jerry, this is how it went for me. I posted a thread here on Dogzonline about what breed would be suitable for me and my partners lifestyle that would also have a personality that would fit us as well, after a nice discussion with lots on the forums a very nice breeder actually contacted me to see her Aussies, had no intention at the time of purchasing and pups and didn't even know there were some available, but the breeder was awesome to deal with and the time was right and the breed was right, so we found our Koda right there and then. Just saw your last post, maybe post a looking for pup post in the Kelpie thread here on dogzonline (under general, sub forum breeds) if you are contacting via email just make sure there is some info about your lifestyle and what you are looking for in the dog so the breeder can judge if his/her pups will suit you :) and try to get to meet them in person and see the pups and also assess the quality of life and facilities the breeder is using, do not be pressured into making a purchase, this is a companion for 10-15 years of your life and if you are not happy with the breeder and how they run the show simply say thanks for you time and walk away. Jack

Yep, load it in you favor is right, feed him, make sure he drinks allot then take him outside for a few games, not long after that he will want to pee and poop, and he will do it outside, after a while it will be natural and it will sink in that "outside is where I do my business" Regulate the food intake and in turn it will regulate the business outtake :D which will make life allot easier for you to train where the dog should be doing his business :D But remember he is a baby and baby's have accidents, don't be disheartened if he makes a mess while you are out, if you can contain him in an area where there is food in one corner, a place to pee in another and his bed in another then it will segregate the area's for him and as long as the area where the business is done is natural for him he will eventually start going there on his own to pee, when he does it right make sure to praise him and maybe even a treat (but wait till he is finished, try not to interrupt them while they are doing it, can confuse them :) )

When she is like that are you also excited?? I found that when I used to visit my folks their papillons would go nuts when they saw me, and they would be like that as long as I was excited to, even if I didn't convey it overly outward, I did find however that if I calmly walked to a chair and sat down, feeling relaxed myself, they would usually stop with the frantic's and come and sit with me, usually wanting a cuddle or a hug and maybe a lick or two.

8 days to go for me, unofficially though, depends on how the 8 week vacs take :D

Thanks Disintegratus. I was a very proud dog mumma for sure! Oh and the little cat thankfully had no injuries at all. I am not a cat fan but I am an animal lover so I popped her into a cat carrier that I loaned from my neighbour and door knocked the area. She was very soft, smelled of frontline and was a very affectionate and calm little girl considering what she had gone through so I knew she had to have come from somewhere close. Two houses down on the street behind mine and she was returned to her owners who had only just moved in the day before and accidentally let her out. "Milkshake" was a very lucky little girl! What a great outcome, congrats and well done. that was very noble of you to knock around as well

Ive been using photobucket for a few years and it's ok, but the limitation on free accounts and image size / quality is pretty high. Regards Jack
