A wonderful face and beautiful pup Dory, grats
-
Congrats Dory, so happy you have your baby home with you

Ozgrooming also have there own dedicated website (http://www.ozgroomingworld.com.au/) and are not just an ebay seller, I think they sell on ebay as well to get more market coverage. Heard a few reports of ok items at good prices, seems a decent place to go for those on a budget And looking over their site they have a huge selection of products I'm also happy with Petsplus.com.au 's prices on Bono Fido crates, picking mine up this week and will let you know what its like edit: added links

Hard to say no when its only $24 :) I bought a Kong Wobbler online for that much yesterday instead. The things I give up for puppy love hehe, but how are you gonna take a micro picture of your pup chewing on the kong wobbler  I know how you feel Lisa, I broke my set budget by a bit for Koda as well, the things we do for the pups

A Follow On Thread For Those Who Now Have Their Puppy
JackC replied to julesluvscavs's topic in Puppy Chat
Its not cruel or bad to feed your pup when he is hungry, if he doesn't eat the food given to him/her in 10min take it away till next meal time, its actually better to feed in a regulated pattern where they eat the whole meal in one sitting and not let them graze, regulating food will give the added benefit of regulated pooping :D so after he has eaten go for a nice walk or play outside and I guarantee he will do a poop, that also helps with toilet training as the pup will realize that outside is where I poop as I get praised for it there and not inside. -
You'll get used to people assuming he's a girl. Even when you say "His name is Nova" they will say "Oh isn't she sweet" and you'll say "yes, he is" and they will say "oh, a boy, sorry" and you'll smile sweetly whilst stabbing them in your head  My female pugs name is Max, I go through this regularly~ Dory gets this ALL the time, and she is a GIRL with a GIRL'S name (okay, it's a fish too  ) I think because she is scruffy and has a beard they assume boy. (Aaannnnd her constant cocking her leg on things probably doesn't help with the image either. :D ) PS....FIVE HOURS TO GO..... Thank god I'm at work, I'd be picketing the airport terminal by now. Eeek, I bet its hard for you to work, like it is for me haha  Haha, a few have asked if my Koda was a collie, I guess at a young age its hard to tell when the brown is not showing.

Have you ever starved yourself? Humans do it too, I was on a hike in Africa with the old man and we got trapped in a 6 day storm, 4 days without food and you start vomiting.

Agreed, get a good sleep, nothing worse that being tired when you get your pup :D 2 More sleeps to go for me.

Tlc the aussies tail is actually one of the few breeds where it can naturally be either docked, full or half, a full tail is signified by having a white tip. A half does not have the tip colour and docked is well not there or extremely small :) There is no reason why an aussie may have either of the above, it is just random at birth, much like their eye and coat colours. Have a look at kodas thread on the here and you will see some of the litter and the huge variety of colours from the same genetics :D The US banned unnaturally docking an aussies tail a while back so more and more half and full tails are being seen at shows now, although docked is still the "preferred" show tail.

Nova is a great name Lisa and would suit a Blue boy imo. I will certainly explode the forums with shots of Koda at home on Friday night

So glad I'm reading this all now so if Koda does this when I get him I won't be fretting like a mad man. as long as he recovers within the day then I can put it down to puppy stomachs, otherwise will seek vet advice

hehe stalk away mate, only 69 Hours to go  I think I'm in the disbelief stage right now, already passed and over the anxiety stage and doubt stage, I think spending the whole of Sunday getting the garden ready, the kennel and buying all his bits really sunk home that I am getting my boy and soon but its almost unreal. I can't wait to be honest, its been a dream for the last two years for me to have my own companion and its finally coming true, I have been around dogs all my childhood, my folks owned them, my Grandfather owned them on the farm, I was always around a dog or two and since I moved to AU a few years ago I have missed that.

Thanks guys, he does have some very nice markings, I like the colour change on him, its very clean, he should have some nice presence when he is older, can't wait to get him home, 3 more days to go Koda is a "half" tail Aussie, I really wanted a full tail boy but happy with his tail, it should be a good length
-
3 more sleep for me, if i don't get off this website at work i'll be broke with a puppy lol

Take this as is but another tip I read about for stopping chewing or biting is if they are going for your hands to hold your fist up against the dogs mouth and push gently so it is uncomfortable but not harmful and growl at the dog, or if its on your clothes hold your hands on either side of his body and growl loudly, this lets the dog know that your not happy and they should back off, usually coming back straight away to lick you as an apology.

yer he is :D

if your close to petsplus maybe have a look at their Bono Fido ones as they will probably be similar
-
Another option is the Bono Fido ones from petsplus, I think from memory they are $118 for large and free postage, also can get special made covers for them for about $45 and inserts for about $30, all really good quality imo I bought my insert now as I'm on a budget and when fund come through will get the cage, going to be using it for car travel EDIT: just bought it from them today, gonna collect on Friday so I can collect Koda in style haha :D will post some pics
-
No worries, I first met Koda at 4.5 weeks and now he is 7.5 so will post 3 pics covering those "weeks" tonight
-
awesome thanks for the link, will bookmark it for when we need some new bits
-
:) Hope you get better Steph, it will work out. if you are worried about the yard maybe pop to bunnings and get a pack or two of the "compost fencing" to make a safe area for the pup while you work on the rest to get it ready, that way you won't have to rush rush. I found www.petsplus.com.au a really good store for bits and prices are not bad at all, shipping is also fast.

I am a serious amateur photo guy and I love my A37, really really entry level stuff but it does the job for me.
