Vets All Natural - Perfect Puppy Nutrition

I have had real trouble finding a local supplier for VAN (we are in Nth Suburbs of Melb) and have emailed VAN wondering why they cant have a better system of supply for Victoria - they are still working on it. When I have found a store with even a 5kg bag of VAN available it is full retail price but has been over in the eastern suburbs and too far to travel. Very frustrated as if I lived in NSW I could collect the goods from Stefmar for only $6.50 for the whole order.... Wish VAN could set up something like that in Victoria...... my last order was over $500 and would have been happy to drive down and collect from a depot. I have been buying 3 or 4 x 15kg bags at a time online - which if I can find VAN thru any local store they usually only carry 1kg or a 5kg bag - Initially brought thru Greenpets which is the group on the VAN website, however they charge full retail price plus postage, so adds a fair bit to the cost. Have found an online shop which sells the product for less but the postage is higher - although still cheaper than recommended retail. www.stefmar.com.au example: Price for 15kg bag of Complete Mix Greenpets QLD : $135.00 + postage to Victoria $18 - postage to Tasmania $40 Stefmar NSW : $118.57 - postage to Victoria $26.70 - postage to Tasmania $30.70 Hope this information helps. Is Castlemaine too far for you? We could organise for you to pick up as many 15kg bags as you need from Bruce's vet hospital. In the same situation as Alpha here, Castlemaine is not great in travel, its a 200km round trip, with today's petrol prices and an average of 10km per litre that's $30 in fuel. more expensive than postage from stefmar, would only be viable if the buying in bulk (2x15kg bags +) Jack -
Anyone know a good supplier of roo mince either close to NW MEL subs or can deliver, happy to buy in bulk as Koda is currently eating about 250g a day (1.8kg a week) with his van mix.

Koda does the same I was really worried when I first saw his nightmare, he was howling and kicking and moaning, I woke him the first time he did it and he snapped at me hard, then when he was fully awake I think he realized what he did as he wouldn't stop licking my hand where he bit me. I checked on-line after that and realized my mistake, I am glad this happened when he was young, I can only image what he would have done at full size DO NOT wake up a dog having a bad dream with your hands or body If you are concerned for there safety due to leg movement maybe softly call out their name or make noises that are natural to your house, but try to leave them asleep if you can. Koda seems to settle if I calmly call his name, not enough to wake him but enough for him to hear, he seems to settle well after hearing me

cute... hope he keeps clean for you :D Koda's front paws are a &%^*$ to clean as he loves to dig and they are white

Thanks cassie, I thought this but wanted to be sure before letting him out again, he does like the rain, and I noted he was using his kennel yesterday as the bedding was a little dirty and damp in parts, its an easy dry bono fido mat inside the kennel so its really good for drying quickly, 10min in the dryer and its done. I will let him back out at lunch time :D the Kennel is raised off the floor, its plastic but its a good size and strength for him at his age and seems to block any cold really well. I am fast running out of towels, will pop to the 2$ store before i head home for lunch and buy a bunch -

his kennel is next to the alfresco door and the entrance is away from the open side of the alfresco so its sheltered well, I'm in a new development area so there are no neighbours yet -

hey guys, koda has been living outside when i go to work (coming back at lunch break or making sure my OH is only one one shift) but lately it has been getting cold and wet, the last two days I have had to dry him off allot when i come home at lunch, he isn't shaking and doesn't feel cold but i am worried he might get ill from me letting him stay outdoors in this bad weather, I have setup the laundry this morning with some fake grass and water and bed and he is in there now till my lunch break, do you think I'm being an overprotective dad and I should just let him outside (he has a kennel under a covered alfresco) Jack -
Ahh i see, I didn't take anything apart from my camera when I saw Koda each week from 4weeks to 8 weeks old, although I guess I did see him for a good 2 hours each week and make sure he saw me each time.

are you travelling alone or with someone, is it a long trip?? if alone: you will need a secure area in the car (cage or back seat hammock) if with someone: you can have the pup on that persons lap but only in the back seat, too dangerous in the front and also illegal as far as I'm aware what to take: towel wet wipes small plasic bowl water bottle something nice to lie down on, if in a cage maybe a toy or treat to keep there mind off the trip Also did the breeder introduce the pups to car travel before now? I know mine did and Koda was pretty settled in the car after about 15min of crying, I didn't pull over though till he settled down to give him some water and a cuddle try not to break up the trip too much, if you have someone with you that's great as they can keep the pup company and keep its mind active while you travel, if alone like I was expect allot of crying and some anxiety but only stop if your worried about the pups safety, they will settle after a while.

Well done smash, socialization is great for all dogs, my breeder also told me to get Koda out as much as i can during his first 3 months and its working well, only blocking bad behaviour and letting them discover things on there own, even discovering it can hurt if you play with big dogs to aggressively, just like us we learn from our mistakes so letting a dog make a mistake (within reason and safe environment) can help its learning. How very formal! Haha. [/Quote] hehe, phone auto signature  -
Send us pics we can help :D :D :D

Testing out tapatalk image upload and thought id show you all were my boy sleeps at night, the crate is a bono fido large crate, bought it so its big enough for him when he is full size for car travel, attached is two compost fences in a v shape, two layers of old towels and a section of for grass on top, so if he needed to pee in the middle of the night he understands to do it on the grass and not in his bed, been working well so far Regards Jack
