Just popping in for a sec. Can't catch up with the thread (welcome Cassie!) but wanted to say I'm on a long weekend in Melbourne, and we're going to pet shops today! I wanted to go to a big one but the nearest one is My Pet Wonderland and I don't know the size. I'm just excited to be finally choosing a bed, harness, etc for my baby!

Skyrim is an amazing computer game. Addictive! Waiting does get harder the closer you get to the date... I avoid pestering the breeder because if I start I know she'll get sick of me very quickly! So far she's been incredibly patient with me and my questions (first dog for me). I haven't asked for pictures as she's not very tech savvy, but she clearly enjoys watching us squeal over Louis when we visit. We were so lucky to find her - and just when she had a litter due in a week! Back then I didn't realise just how lucky we were. Wow, talk about derail.... Where was I even going with this? Oh yeah; I count down the days between each visit because I don't want to bother the breeder with my over-eagerness :p

Thanks Misteri, lots of info! I think I'll be doing the junior puppy class with RSPCA, and everything else through a dog club. It might all change between now and enrolment time, but ive been offered so much information here that I'm confident of making a good decision :-)

Thank you for the welcome! Jules, I looked and looked for a Yorkie thread and couldn't find it, so double thanks to you! So you recommend the vet's puppy classes over the RSPCA? I think that seems to be the general consensus in my introduction thread too.

Hi all, this is my first post in this thread. Our little Yorkie will be coming home in mid-May, he's my first dog ever so I'm really excited. I've been doing a lot (A LOT) of research over the past year but there are always little niggling doubts or questions, so I was really lucky to find an Australian-based forum. I'm new to Australia too, and I don't know anyone with dogs, so the local social club (found it via de sub-forum) might be a lifesaver! I also want to take Louis (yes, a Yorkie named after the Sun King) to the RSPCA puppy school. Has anyone heard any good/bad things about it? Do they vary a lot from state to state? We've only seen Louis once, but are due to see him again this coming week. I'll try to take pictures and post them. Mel xx
