  1. I haven't decided how to tie them together yet...
  2. Definitely rubbing it in! 5 sleeps for me now. We went and got 8 (2 sets of 4) of those compost cage panels, they look fantastic!
  3. I would have, but we changed our minds. The breeder is really great and very straightforward about his health. He will be going to puppy school at the vet's before his 2nd vacs, so that'll take care of the first experience... sort of. Only 6 more sleeps till I get my baby!
  4. And leaves windows sparkling and streak-free :D Slightly off-topic, but this is an interesting thread on Apple cider vinegar uses for us dog lovers http://www.dolforums.com.au/topic/23655-101-uses-for-apple-cider-vinegar/
  5. Daisy - Pictures NAOWWW!!! So excited :D Look - Thanks, that's what I figured I'd be told at Bunnings, but I'm clueless at anything DIY. I think I'll do both (hiding cables and keeping him in pen unless supervised). Can't hurt to be extra safe! After all, it's my first puppy and don't really know what to expect.
  6. Coming from a third world country, I thought everybody used vinegar. It really is an amazing deodoriser!
  7. I'm getting Rusty (night comforter) because of the colours. Breeder has a gorilla that ALL her puppies love because the colours look like mum's, so we said we'd find a stuffed animal with those colours. Smashtank, a million thanks for this link!!!
  8. Thanks luvsdogs, that was what I was thinking; 100% supervised whenever out of his crate or pen. Thanks for the tip, I'll have to get some of those panels
  9. Lhok - Any ideas for covering / keeping them out of reach? I just don't want him chewing them
  10. I'm so glad I'm not dealing with cats as well! Our biggest concern is cables. We are very technology-minded. We have every device you can think of, and are used to being able to charge each one on a whim, in every room of the house (even the bathroom!) So we are basically drowning in cables. Hoping someone at Bunnings can advise us.
  11. I don't know about hormones and the like, but I do know toy breeds can crash very easily when they're that young. I can't imagine how well they'd cope with an operation which is not really needed at that age. I'd wait till they're AT LEAST 12 weeks. At least!
  12. 8 sleeps for me if everything goes well. Smashtank, I suppose our puppies are the same age!
  13. I love those, especially the first one. Very useful to newbies like me!
  14. I don't find it funny in the least. I've never had dogs before, and I'm getting a Yorkie in 8 days. Everyone thinks its so funny that they try to rule the roost and can get aggressive. Hilarious. Just the thought of my pup becoming that way makes my hairs stand up on end. A dog is a dog and deserves to be treated well and trained properly. Do they really think those dogs are happy, getting riled up over everything? And how cruel is it to taunt them, they wouldn't do that to a human being but it's so hilarious doing it to a dog. Makes me furious.
  15. Steph - I still have puppy proofing to do, with only 8 sleeps to go! My gosh, Nitro is smart, and so handsome too :-)
  16. A rotti! How exciting! This is my first dog (always cats before) so I know my life is about to change drastically. I'm looking forward to having someone to look after!
  17. It was very hard to leave him, but I was soooo good! So sad to hear your anecdote, but you do understand then! Is your pup Black and Tan too? Louis' sire has a steel coat so I'm really hoping he inherits that! Indeed! I said to the breeder, Louis will never forget my birthday because to him, EVERY day is my birthday! Another special present was reconnecting with my best friend from high school. She had been looking for me but didn't know my married name. Thank you both for the birthday wishes - they're extra appreciated!
  18. The last picture was impossible to resize without losing the detail. So you'll have to trust me on it!
  19. Here we are last night And this is his sister claiming him! (Sorry for bad quality)
  20. Hi everyone, I've been unwell for a while and just now starting to catch up. I was a week (and a bit) late to see Louis, so it was extra special. He's bigger and fluffier, quiet and passive compared to his bigger, bossier sister - but I'm sure he'll come into his own when he's out from under her paw ---literally! (The last picture shows a typical pose for them: Louis curled up, and his sister sitting next to him with a paw on him). Monday was my birthday but nobody remembered (but for 4 people) because Facebook didn't announce it, and it seems Facebook is the only thing that matters these days. As you can imagine, I was upset, so my (wonderful, sweet, perfect) partner arranged a visit to see my baby again last night. You can tell by the picture that I'm not as cheerful, but Louis really did make everything better. We've agreed on a pickup date (the 17th!) provided everything goes to plan with his shots. I really can't wait to have him with me!! So here we are on Saturday
  21. It was already heartbreaking, and this takes it to another level. You are so kind to let them care for Tig. Best of luck with this, sorry I can't offer any insight.
  22. Tyrian is stunning, as always! Dying to see Raiden pics... ;-) Went to Pet Wonderland; it turned out to be more for aquarium pets, but they had 4 really cute pups for sale (cavoodles, if I remember correctly). I confess it was hard to resist! Even my partner was starry-eyed! We visited other pet shops and got some things, but I still can't decide on shampoo/ conditioner or even which brushes to get. Too many choices, perhaps...?
