  1. Now if you were in the UK, I would say the Kennel Club has insurance for this time but don't think they would insure abroad!
  2. I would say it would depend a lot on the temperament of the dogs in question. My breed (giant schnauzers) are another where the general rule is not to have 2 of the ssame sex BUT there are plenty of people who do have same sex dogs living and getting along together without problems.
  3. Well, it isn't so cold over here, not into winter weather yet, just nice autumn style days, so hopefully not to much of a temperature shock!
  4. The UK breed standard was changed a few years ago and healthier dogs are out there and winning and they can run around a ring and even do agility (maybe not fast enough to be competitive, but they can get around a course without collapsing!)
  5. Sadly the Peruvian never took off here, only one came and he must be getting on now! If the UK Kennel Club was pushed the xoloitzcuintle would be recognised there and be able to be shown in normal show classes instead of the IR! I have a few people in the UK waiting for my Xolos, but I am not to keen to send them where they cant be fully shown, but one lady has offered to take a dog to the WDS for me!! I dont think the Peruvian is even on the IR in the UK is it ? No, I don't think the Peruvian is here. In the UK we have 3 sizes of Mexican Hairless recognised - is this just the alternative name for the Xolo, like Alsation for GSD? How do you mean fully shown? As in separate breed classes? I can't see them ever getting the numbers up enough to have challenge certificates in the UK
  6. You can on cool setting BUT how are you going to get all the sand out of the dryer?
  7. Cute poms, they look to be a good weight considering there were so many of them! Good luck with Bellas litter, hope it is a smooth arrival for them. Lovely little Aussie pup there, what happened to Maisie?
  8. Nice! Looks a different type to your dogs over there? I'm itching to strip that coat out though, wonder if she will be darker with a new coat?
  9. Not just bigger nipples but getting bald around them too! Which country is the import from? I know you've been liking some of the UK dogs
  10. Wow!!! That is awesome! I was just reading it to Campbell and he was so excited -I asked why and he said that that means WE could have that many Looking at her, I was thinking 3, maybe 4. She didn't look as big as her first litter when she had 5. No wonder she hasn't been eating as much recently, they must have been so high up! I think I am looking forward to your pups nearly as much as Campbell, I want to see a stripey pup and one that will be really dark red!
  11. We had a pause of 2.5 hours while she had a drink, pee and something to eat and then she had another 2 in quick time and another hour wait and another one has popped out. So that is now 6 from a bitch who didn't look pregnant a few weeks ago, no wonder she hasn't been eating much recently with so many of them being carried so high up! Tally so far 1 p/s male, 3 p/s bitches and the last 2 are b/s bitches.
  12. They could eat the whole thing but I take them off the dogs when they get small or they can get stuck between the teeth on the roof of the mouth, they could also be a choking hazard.
  13. I hate Labradors being called Labbies - just makes me think of slang for a certain part ladies have!!
  14. She's very active in the Black Hawk threads in the health section of the forums too.
  15. This morning so far Amber has had 3 pups, 2 girls and 1 boy (all p/s colour which is interesting as her mum is b/s and the sire is b/s a recessive colour, so was expecting to see a few b/s!). I think there are still one or 2 in there but we seem to be having a break atm. How long do people leave between pups before chatting to the vet?
  16. Are there big or small dogs in the lines?
  17. maybe we should all have the phonetic spelling of our breeds put into our signatures?
  18. Not a great pic as I've ended up taking a quick one with the phone as the camera still won't load pics onto computer OK now the pic is to big, i give up!
  19. i've just taken a few photos but the camera and computer aren't talking tonight, so will try uploading them another time.
  20. wet sand will stick to the vet bed, so you need to do the shaking when the bedding/sand is dry
