Hi all I have just left my vet and we think my dog may have Cerebellar Tremors he is a 4 month old Jack Russell. Before we do an MRI we are going to start him on a course of antibiotics as he has a temp of 39 degrees which could be causing the tremors. Has anyone else dealt with this condition. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance :)

He is 12 weeks and we do spend time alone with him as he is indoors and our Stafford is inside and outside. We are just trying the basics as in sit come for now he is just really stubborn. He fights the lead but we keep on keeping on with the training and lead :)

Hi All It's been a while since I have posted. We have brought a Jack Russell puppy and he just wont seem to listen to a single thing I say I have tried postive reward and treats as a part of his training but nothing seems to be working. I also have a Staffordshire Bull Terrier and she listens beautifully and I guess was easy to train compared to our Jack Russell. Any ideas that would help with training would be appreciated Thanks in advance

Hi all well yesterday I took my staffy bitch to the vet to be spayed and aborted she is 10 months old and was pregnant with 8 pups. But the reason im posting is I have heard that spaying a dog can change their behavior Pepper is a very hyper dog and I dont really want her to change is there any truth to them changing Thanks in advance

If I wait a few weeks after her heat and if the mastiff did get her in pup Wouldnt there be more complications for her. With pups being bigger?
-
Yes Sandra lesson learnt alright. Very sad lesson at that as she is my baby and I feel very terrible about it. I thought the yard was secure but I guess it wasn't. As for getting the pup's aborted at the same time as desexing thats what I planned on doing :)

Hi All My dam has came on heat and was just after some info on how long does the bleeding last? She is a Stafford and on Friday night a mastiff had got into my yard and possible mated with her He had hurt her abit she has all cuts over her. I have taken her to the vets where the vet prescribed antibiotics for her cuts and grazes. She is inside now but just wondering how long the bleeding lasts for. If the mastiff has mated with her the pups will be aborted as I never wanted her to have pups she is 9 months old and the only reason she hasn't been spayed yet is due to the vet not wanting to desex her due to having a bad case of demodex. Although she could of been spayed last week but her cycle had started so we had to put it off She is booked in for 2 weeks time to be spayed. Thanks in advance

Ok so since posting this things seem to be back to normal Pepper is playin with Roxi nice again. I think Pepper's nose was abit out of joint ( Jealousy ) being the only dog for so long I'm not saying this is ok but I guess it would be normal Im also not sure why she acted this way apart from jealousy beause she has never shown any signs of arrgession before but I will be contacting dog trainers to see who would be best suit for my to babies thanks.

-
Thanks Im in the north of Vic

Sandra777 Since we are now passing judgement well here is mine of you " You think you are a know it all that thinks you know everything about everything well lets get one thing straight you dont know a thing about me or my life experience so before you judge me on being childish maybe you should re-read your comment because you seem to be the one being childish I did say quote Im sorry if I sound hasty but I feel like Im being judge with my choices I didnt say once you all are judging me there is a difference between fact and how I felt as for livin in the real world like I said you know nothing about me and my life experience and yes not everyone argee's so let me be the BIGGER person to say lets agree to disargee

No I'm not feeding them from the same bowl
-
Thanks I would love to but she has demodex at the moment and my vet wants to hold of on doin this until most of the mites have cleared up
-
Thanks
-
In no way shape or form did I say I did not say appreciate the advice givin or taken it on board and I would not expect ANY one to sugar coat anything all I said is that since joining I feel that I have been judge with the choices I have made with my dogs it is possible for to staffies of any age to live in peace together if they are treated right and raised the right way . All I asked if is it normal for these to dog to show any signs of aggressive behaviour while my older one is on heat as her hormone levels would of changed because before this they got along fantastic
-
Well rehoming Roxi is not an option I did not get her just to rehome her that would be just plain cruel to her she would not understand why my family that I have grown to trust has sent me away, and these are not the first staffies I have owned so yes I do know their breed I came here to ask for advise and since this is now the 2nd topic I have post I feel I just wont be asking anymore questions as all I feel is that I'm being judged on both topics. My understanding of these forums were that people that love's their pet could ask for advise but I think I miht of got this wrong I dont mean to sound hasty but this is how I feel sorry if I have offended anyone but this is how I feel

Hi all Not sure if I'm posting this topic in the right section but here goes. 4.5 months ago I brought my beautiful Pepper Girl ( staffy ) she has been the only dog in the house until 2.5 weeks ago we resuced Roxi ( staffy also ) Pepper welcome Roxi with open paws see just loved her, Roxi being a resuce puppie was very timid but within no time see was full of life now all of a sudden Pepper is being aggressive towards Roxi they both get same amount of attenion but Pepper gets a little excited and starts to be rough with Roxi, We correct her when she does but all of a sudden today when I fed them Roxi wouldnt eat or go near Pepper and Roxi went back to being very timid not sure whats going on beside know Pepper is being nasty I not sure if this is because Pepper is on her first heat she is 6.5 months old now so I guess I'd just like some advise. Thanks in advance

Seconded. Poor baby ...... Ok I get where you guys are coming from with stopping the treatment but if we were to stop and there were set backs and giving seeing what it did to her before treatment she would of been in a great deal of pain so yes I'd love to stop treatment and see how she goes but I would find that cruel and yes I do agree also the continuing treatment is also cruel with these chemicals. So I have just got of the phone to the vet to do a skin scraping and we will take it from there I guess. Like I stated at the start of this topic I just want this over and done with for my baby!!!!
