Lightweight T-shirt For Dog During Summer
wagsalot replied to macka's topic in General Dog Discussion
I've got some singlets that are quite light. Otherwise, what about a human singlet? I've dressed Riley up in one of mine once before for a event and it worked ok, and was really thin -
Oh well, I guess if Houndbags themselves didn't really care in that case theres not much you can do. Im struggling enough as it is competeing with the larger stores that sell things less than I can even buy them. Then with people selling at cost, well the more people do it the closer i get to closing the doors. Edited to add - I do want a houndbag though!!
-
Because other suppliers then cannot compete and people will stop stocking them. I still find it odd that they were being sold for cost price to begin with - whats the point if you aren't making anything?? Theres got to be some catch...

Harness - just a standard one, but Riley walks sooo much better on a harnesss than just with a collar Dog Door Toys

I'll leave Riley inside if I know its going to be a really hot day, and Ill set the air con on timer to come on at 2pm (thats when our house starts to heat up). Sometimes we leave it on all night (depends if we're hot). I wouldn't say we specifically leave it on for him, but generally if we're hot, he's probabyl hot too.

Yep they're cute - I was upset when we sold our last Sherman (the sheep) Edited to add - with the toughness, the mega ring is the first soft toy that hasn't got wrecked in this house, so they are certainly tougher than alot of other toys. It gets fair work out too as its one of Riley's favourites. This is what his looks like after a year
-
Love it Shell - how on earth did you get zero looking in the right direction?
-
Depends. Some dogs rip them to bits in a minute, other dogs they last ages. My theory is, if a dog wants to rip it up, they will. Riley had a octopus (8 i think) and ripped it up in about a hour, but the Mega Ring has been going strong for over a year now. Its got a small tear, but only through the top layer so it hasn't affected it at all. Edited to add - I love the Pig and Sheep - I even had someone buy a Pig off me for a door stop!

I think I paid $18 last time I took Riley. Im going again on Sunday. That was everthing including use of the dryer. I think it was $2-$3 cheaper if you just towel dried. -
Theres been a few threads on here before along the same lines. Maybe try a search.

Help With A Spot On Riley's Nose - Maybe A Tick?
wagsalot replied to wagsalot's topic in General Dog Discussion
Its funny, Im handling this better than I expected. I feel like its all going to be OK. I do get upset every now and again if I think about it too much, but most of the time I feel positive and am just carrying on as normal. This is a good thing I guess, unless I get let down terribly when it comes time to re assess. -
Rileys been car sick since he was a pup. The only thing that worked for him is Maxolon tablets from the vet. So glad we have them, as he loves the car, and I love being able to take him everywhere. We use them quite a bit for trips to to the beach etc. We even took him on a 8 hour drive to Ballina. He had half a tablet 7am in the morning, and when we went out for dinner 10pm that night he was still fine. They work on the boat as well. Without the tablets, Riley vomits within 20 minutes of being in the car.

Help With A Spot On Riley's Nose - Maybe A Tick?
wagsalot replied to wagsalot's topic in General Dog Discussion
No, he said it was too small. He said that if in 2 months it doubles in size, then he can either do a needle biopsy, but as its in a painful area, Riley would have to be heavily sedated, so he said if we got to that stage he'd suggest the other option of just having it cut out. He said it has the characteristics of being benign, and didn't seem worried about leaving it for 2 months at all. So now we just wait and see how fast it grows, if it grows anymore at all. -

Hopefully you will get good results. I think our problem at the moment is not knowng. I hate the thought that it may not be benign and we are just doing nothing. Im feeling better now than I was this afternoon though. Theres nothing we can do at the moment, so im trying not to worry. Riley got spoilt though with a new toy and a few shortbread biscuits! -

Came home from the vet and spoke to OH about it and we're trying to think positive. We are getting married next month, and are going away for just over 2 weeks for our honeymoon so I was stressing a bit about not being here and keeping a eye on it etc. Riley is staying with my parents though so I know he'll be well looked after. The vet told me just to keep a eye on size, but not to stress and to go back after our honeymoon and we'll reasses then. -

Riley has 2 tumors. The vet found one in the corner of his mouth too on his lip. He said its too small to biopsy at the moment, and also because its in a really hard place - very tender etc. He said there is good chance its benign. and has suggest we wait another 2 months and see if it grows in size, if it does then he suggests we remove it.
