Im guessing their can't isn't able to automatically work out postage prices for rural areas which is why it wouldn't let you place the order. Theyd probably have to hunt around for a courier that goes to your area and then give you the price. Doesn't surprise me about the $32 though, the minute you try and get a courier to go a bit out of the city it costs a bomb.

I've got no idea how they got the name everlasting. Riley gets the treat thing out within 5 minutes, then won't even eat it! Just leaves it there and thats it, game over.

Monthly Expenses For Larger Breeds...
wagsalot replied to Nadine83's topic in General Dog Discussion
I reckon we spend about $70 a month on food, flea/tick treatment and wormers. About $500 year on vet fees - checkups etc (Few small ongoing issues) About $400 year on toys And I reckon theres probably more too that I can't think of off the top of my head. -
Free Emergency Stickers - Pet Needs Rescue In The House
wagsalot replied to Linda K's topic in General Dog Discussion
Im thinking the stickers would be helpful if people had a safe opportunity to rescue the pets, but would like to think a emergency service person would not put their own life in danger, to resuce pets. -
Awww wrong state Sounds like fun!

Has Anyone Used K9natural Freeze Dried Food?
wagsalot replied to Katdogs's topic in General Dog Discussion
No, actually I know what you mean. I guess I expected the dry food to soak up the water and become soft like fresh food. My thoughts too, but the fact that it stays so dry has meant that I won't be making it a part of the diet here. It seems odd that its staying dry? When I mix it up it, its nowhere near dry. Riley scoffs his down no matter what it looks like though! -

We sell the 500g bags for $25.95 and it says on the pack you'd get 10 meals out of a 500g bag. -

They aren't completely soft, but aren't anywhere near as hard as they are prior to soaking. They are all mushy on the outside and a bit harder in the middle. Its hard to explain -

Not sure if it helps but this is what mine looks like after soaking for approx 10 minutes - the bullets have absorbed the water. I continued to let it soak for about another 5-10 mins after that -
Has Anyone Used K9natural Freeze Dried Food?
wagsalot replied to Katdogs's topic in General Dog Discussion
Ok thats odd When mine did that at first I emailed the company and asked about it as I was just crushing the pellets up with a fork. She told me if doesn't matter if the pellets stay whole, but to try warm water. So I did that and mine was ok. Also, Ill make enough for 3 meals in a container and I've found once you put it in the fridge it kind of sets overnight, but you give it a stir then its super mushy again -

I soak mine with warm water for about 15 minutes and it goes quite mushy. I struggled when using cold water though - the bullets would just float. -

I've been using it for about 2 months I think its been now. Im really happy with the results - Riley was a bit of a picky eater and would go some nights without eating anything, unless he got some of our leftovers. Without fail, every night the K9 Natural goes down he gulps it all up. He loves it. No more stinky farts and decent poo's as well! Edited to add - I started off with a few of the 500g packs to see how it went, but now we're on the 4kg box. It says on the box for a 20kg dog it will last 80 meals, but Im not sure about that. I've actually been keeping a track of how many meals I've got out of it. I reckon Im about half way through the box, and so far have made 24 meals. -
Yeah, I do the same with our website - we get hits from all kinds of odd forums where people must mention us. Must of been odd seeing hits from a dog forum

Riley doesn't seem to react at the TV at all. My mother in law's dog however goes nuts. There was a home video on the tv which he was on, and he saw himself and starting growling and running at the tv etc

my oh my, he sure does and the waists are thinner too. Sorry but I think they are bullsh$t. I would be hoping that those brides asked for the "instant fat reduction" or I'd be peeved. On the chick in the desert setting, she looked fine before, his editing makes her look grossly thin. Also the chick in the long slim white gown. She had a nice figure before with nice hips and curves and then he made her practically anorexic! I agree she shot and composition are nice but the editing in some of them is plain ridiculous. I notice alot of the shots that were edited like that were teh ones for fashion shoots etc and the girls are models. If you look at fashion mags the anorexic look is in Hmm it would of be nice if he made me a bit thinner on my wedding photos though

The guy that did our wedding photography (who we were extremely happy with I might add ) has some before and afters on his blog - I quite enjoyed going through them today. http://www.vibrantphotography.com.au/blog/?p=1712#more-1712

OH made a curry last night that turned out a bit extreme on the heat side of things! We had a glass of milk and it certainly helped.

At What Age Is A Dog Considered Senior?
wagsalot replied to GSDowner's topic in General Dog Discussion
Riley's 9 and a half now, and is largish - 25kg. You wouldn't guess he was 9 though the way he runs around the yard and plays with other dogs. The vet always laughs saying Riley refuses to get old. I don't like to think of him as old though. Maybe because it makes me a little sad... -
Huga you have the cutest kids - that "family portrait" one is just fantastic.

We had a bad diagnosis by a vet when Riley was younger - I thought I knew what it was - got told by the vet I was over reacting and never to google , and was sent home. Well thanks to that vet, Riley is partially blind in one eye. I knew it wasn't right, so after it didn't get better I took him to another vet where I got the correct diagnosis, and Im glad I went when I did. I think alot of the time you just get this gut instinct, and need to know to listen to it.

Do You Walk Your Dog No Matter What The Weather ?
wagsalot replied to mrs tornsocks's topic in General Dog Discussion
No walks here in the wet. When Riley was a pup though - he'd go no matter what weather as he was so full of energy. Now he's older and lazy and prefers to snooze in his nice warm bed.
