Awww Elbie is so cute. That Ring is a number 9 too - theres a Mega Ring as well which is tougher, its a 10. Elbie will have to be a Wagsalot mascot soon with all his toys
-
OK, so we thought - let's be mean and rather than give him the easy version with just the brown bricks, we'll put the white plastic blocks in to play with his mind i.e. they have to be removed first before the dog can slide the bricks. Either our dog is smart or the toy isn't that challenging ... Video . Elbie figured it out the first time... Removing the white bits first and then sliding the bricks. He's a nose dog, though - uses his nose to slide rather than his paw. I might try to teach him to use his paw only. The good thing is, he had fun and now he has yet another way that we can feed him his dinner - Tucker Ball, Kong Wobbler and now Swedish Brick thing. Go Elbie! He's picked up the idea of that brick mighty quick! Riley still at the stage of looking at it. I think he think if he stares at it long enough the treat will just appear

Yes its horrible. Im always watching when I walk Riley just in case. No matter how quick we're walking he can pick something up in one quick swoop and shovel it down before I even see what it is. My MIL lives down that way so Ill let her know Wonder if its worth telling the local vet/s ? They could put a notice up and be aware of it

the end bit was the funniest.

I watched it once, had majorly puffy eyes the next day!

The toughest "soft" toy you will probably get are Tuffies. The Mega Ring has lasted here for a few years now, but Riley's only a medium chewer. When Riley was a puppy he had several soft toys. He ripped them all apart except for one bear. That bear stayed in tact for years until It got so dirty and horrid that I chucked it out. I used to get them from the salvos stores. He's 9 now and he still picks and chooses which soft toys will get ripped up and which survive

I just gave Riley a new toy that goes "weeeeeee" "weeeeee" "weeeeee" when the buttons pressed. He was sat there chewing it and it made the noise. He dropped it, his ears pricked up, he looked around then when it stopped he starting playing again. The second time the noise went off he drops it again, runs to the front door, no one there, so runs back and plays again. Third time it makes the noise, he picks the toy up, takes it to his bed, then seems to realise its the toy thats actually making the toy, so dropped it and ran away

This is probably the most detailed article I've read on it so far. Apparantly it was completely out of character for "Chopper" http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/news/nsw-...i-1225932033844

Thanks - I was unaware there was any changes - Ill take a look at the PDF tonight.

The holes for the treats aren't very deep so you should be ok. Theres heaps of videos on youtube of the toys too if anyones interested - helps to see size etc

So it wasn't Chris's idea to begin with.? I googled 7pm project puppy farm and there a few discussions going on ten forums, etc so at least its got people talking. -
All the nina ottosson toys are fairly decently sized. The Bricks my favourite - its approx 40cm X 30cm If you want any other measurements let me know Edited to add - I've had a customer with a GSD buy one and didn't have any issues with size. They are meant for all sizes, even cats.

Thanks for posting this! Riley has a yellow ball (handles been chewed off) and he's had it for years and its still going strong. THe name rubbed off though so I had no idea who made it and couldnt' remember where I got it from. The ropes don't last 2 minutes here - they come straight off, but the balls a hit - moreso when punctured

4th Annual Mdba Dog Owners Choice Awards
wagsalot replied to Steve's topic in General Dog Discussion
Steve - what do you think the lastest would be that we could buy tickets? I want to come, but at this stage its really hard to tell what we have planned in March. -
The funniest thing was when I finally saw him, he looked at me with a surprised look (well as surprised as dogs can look ) as if he was shocked himself that he didn't hear me come home!
-
Riley loves his hard boiled softy too, but our bird freaks out at the noise Happy Birthday Micha!

Every day without fail when I come home, I open the door to the laundry and Riley is always sat up in his bed waiting for me. Today I got home and opened the door and Riley's bed was empty. My heart sank and all these horrible thoughts went through my mind. I raced outside yelling Riley's name and there he was, perfectly fine, on the deck. He was in a patch of sun and must of been asleep and didn't hear me come home for once. It was a horrible feeling though not seeing him there. I told him never to do that ever again!

What about Aussie Dog's Fetch It's - they are more expensive, but IMO are worth it http://aussiedog.com.au/index.php?main_pag...&cPath=1_23 or Thongs http://aussiedog.com.au/index.php?main_pag...&cPath=1_20

Unfortunately that's wrong! Kong Wubbas can be chewed through quite easily.. Took 4 months for my two to get around to it, and that's rare.. normally things are killed in a day. Their second Wubba only lasted a night before they put a hole in it. They still play with the 'skin" from the first one though They are great toys though, Ozpetshop is the cheapest I've found. Our everlasting Fun Ball hasn't been killed yet, its tougher than the Fireplug which I was recently bragging hadn't been killed, but now it has Cuz toys are the best. I can't believe it took 4 months for your dogs to kill a Kong Wubba that got killed in about 2 days here, yet my Leo is going strong and yours lasted a couple of hours :D

Similar to what 4Paws said, I would have a look and see if theres another course that could be done first, which doesn't need prior experience. Then upon completion of that, give access to the Vet Nurse course she wants to do.
