My mums lab gets clipped off in a #10, 2-3 times a year due to shedding! Her coat grows back beautifully!

Often back/spinal pains shows as belly pain. Trialling pain relief could help.

I used propalin for my old girl. I started on the reccomended dose and was able to maintain her on a much lower dose( not sure if you're meant to do that or not?) over the years I found she could go without in cooler months and needed it on and off during summer, I think water intake related. Anyway not sure if this is the "correct" way but it worked for her. Just my 2c!

My brothers Great Dane got diarhoea on advance, he swapped to royal canin and did well on that!

I'd leave it alone and take her to the vet, they will prob remove the nail as leaving it broken will continue to cause her pain. My dogs have done it before and once removed they were very comfortable.

Contact Kathy kopelis McLeod. She's a does behavior, but works with a lot of trainers, and she has huskies!

You could ask your vet if the tablets come in a higher strength (eg 10mg) you could then give half a 10mg tab instead of the 5mg, this usually works out cheaper! Good luck

Google Ingleburn vets /antihistamine

What a gorgeous boy! IMO it does look infected and vets would most likely use antibiotics to clear it. You could try bathing the area in betadine, or malaseb shampoo if you have any, but I would def try get him to a vet as soon as you can manage!

Could be folliculitis, sometimes it will clear by itself, sometimes needs vet treatment.

With petplan , you only pay the excess once each year per condition, so once you've paid the $125, you should get everything else back!

$600 is very cheap for such severe injuries......

Yep! Don't think I was meant to, but the airport guys insisted it was mine to keep!

I'm in perth and used Jetpets to get my boxer girl from qld. I opted to hire the crate and it cost around $350 (can't remember the exact amount). When I picked her up, I was able to keep the crate too!!!! Not sure what happened there lol! I was really happy with their service!

I just read through my brothers dogs diagnosis "Reason for visit: Boof was admitted for chemotherapy to treat multicentric diffuse high grade large B cell lymphoma" He has had three treatments and is now in clinical and cytological remission. Just wanted to give you some hope!! Boof is also one on those dogs where if there is a complication it will happen to him, and he has so far cruised through treatment!
-
So sorry:( if you we're considering chemo, I would get a referral to a specialist oncologist, so you can find out all your options, even if you then choose not to do chemo, you'll have made a very informed decision. In the meantime, make sure you spoil that puppy rotten xx

My brothers Great Dane was diagnosed with lymphoma about 2 months ago. He went ahead with staging and started chemo. He has not had any side effects from the chemo at all, and was said to be in clinical remission after three treatments! He is going back in for testing tomorrow to see if he is in completed remission. He was quoted up to $15k for the entire treatment!! Hope things go well for you!

Extreme Anxiety After Grooming
2boxer replied to CathyM's topic in Dog Rescue (General Rescue Discussion)
I'd look at the groomer at the vet clinic option, another thing that may help would be having his owners with him while being sedated. -
My pup was the same, her breeder said to use ester c from the pharmacy. I used it and her feet are now perfect. However I'm not 100% convinced it was the vit c that did it, or if it was just time or dietary change????? All the vets I have spoken to dont believe that it will help the feet in any way. The ester c supplement does have calcium in it, so long term use could affect the way that the dogs body produces calcium. The breeder also reccomended giving chicken neck/wings twice daily! I figured it was worth a try! good luck!

My old girl has recurring bouts of pancreatitis, and my boy had food allergies, both did very well on advance turkey and rice.

My brothers 6year old Great Dane has just been diagnosed with lymphona. It's been graded as a stage 3a cancer and tested as a diffuse high grade large B cell lymphoma. He is considering chemo. I was just wondering if anyone has experienced this type and severity of lymphona with their dog, and what have been the outcomes. Thanks in advance!
