So we have trained our Milly quite well (in my opinion anyway) and she knows the basics down pat. Sit, stay, down, shake with both hands and stay before eating. We were pretty stoked with ourselves and then she had a good little growth spurt and decided that jumping was the new "in thing". Unfortunately the jumping up to greet is actually causing us a lot of grief as the kids in our family now don't like Milly as much as they are constantly being licked on the face from her jumping up. My fiance and I are a bit more stern with her when we greet her and ask her to sit as soon as we get outside. She does this willingly however the excitement is overwhelming with the kids. Any ideas I can try out?

Just thought I would post in here that Emma and Sam at Kirrawee Vet are unreal and we Took Milly who learnt to socialise and basic commands really quickly at this school. They only have a small group of about 6 puppies at any one time and you get to do all sorts of awesome things at the hospital and they are all on leashes.

I don't buy anything like that from china or asian countries, I buy the Brunswick sardines from Canada. I bought these exact ones today and I have never seen such a reaction in our dog over food thus far! Unreal response to the sardines and she was soooo stoked that it wasn't just dry boring Royal Canine. Thanks to everyone who posted.

So I was walking Milly the other day down at Cronulla and we came past another beautiful Stafford called Ivy and her coat was absolutely incredibly smooth and silky. She was 1 month older than Milly who is now 4 and a half months old. We asked the owner how she gets her coat so silky. She answered with a smile and said "we feed Ivy Sardines two to three times a week with her regular kibble and an egg once a week". My question to y'all is whether anyone has heard this before and whether it is okay. Many thanks

Would it just be easier to post all the docs I received? Probably best not to as you would be outing the breeder. The breeder uses this DOL to promote her pups! Should I not post the breeder name? I remember reading something about not doing that before I signed up for the forum.

That is the way I read it as well. She seems to have been sent a copy of the papers for a full sibling from another litter. Very odd. I am also curious why anyone from NSW would buy a limit register SBT puppy from Qld when there are so many available locally, all the time? Not to mention paying so much for such a common breed. I know people who paid over $2k for a blue limited reg pup from Qld recently. Breeder had two litters of blues on the ground. Not uncommon to pay so much, and for some reason Qld seems the place to be! Thanks for posting that. Personally I have money to burn so I'm not at all phased the price. People normally have an issue with how much they spend on pretty much anything where as I am just interested in getting what I want.

What is it about this sentence that makes me think "warning, warning, Will Robinson" as that darned robot used to say. You bought a Limit Register pup, she will never be registered as anything but a pet. You will not be able to show her, you will not be able to breed from her or register any pups as purebred. Do you understand that? Limit register is simply the official replacement for the hand written pedigree breeders used to supply to the buyer of a pet puppy. she is recognised as the purebred produce of her parents, but can never produce a recognised purebred puppy. Apologies if you do already know this. An amazing number of people do not. I fully understand this. Thanks for the helpful information.

Thanks for that post WExtremeG. I just messaged the breeder and she responded pretty quickly to state that the pedigree cert should arrive to her this coming week and she send it down to me asap. I am very appreciative for everyones help with this. I will keep y'all posted with the outcome. Thanks again.

The dam and the sire of YOUR puppy do you mean? Yes.

Check the date of birth on the cert Does that match the DOB of your puppy ? if so then it should be your pups pedigree. It shouldn't be a photo copy it should be coloured. The puppy should either have you as the registered owner or be signed on the back, so you can send the papers into the canine council and have them transferred into your name. Having said that you should at the very least have the cert, microchip, vaccination and a copy of the parents DNA results for the L2-HGA and HC testing The date does not match! It is a copy only. Black and white photocopy. I have the vaccination, microchip and a copy of the dna and the L2-HGA and HC test results. All of which are stated to be normal.

It is a copy so I can't be sure. Oh and I just realised too, both the dam and sire are named on the certificate of rego and pedigree.

Thank you for this info Sandra. The more will think about it the more we feel as though we have been taking for chumps. Really disheartening to feel like this but I am however a person who believes in waiting for the truth to surface and pointing the finger right now just seems like the easy thing to do. I will wait and speak to the people that you mentioned and I will definitely post what I find. Fingers crossed. I am probably one of a huge amount of people that get swindled on a daily basis. The only thing I care about is Milly and her welfare in the end. Again thank you all for your info :)

Thanks for the replies! Such quick responses too! We live in Sydney NSW and when she arrived at the airport (we bought her from Townsville) she turned up with a Health Certificate from the vet, a non filled out form to register with petsafe and her vaccination and microchipping details. The rest turned up yesterday which is what I mentioned in the thread starter. We have yet to receive her actual certificate of pedigree. And to answer a question no we did not receive the cert of pedigree for the dam either, just the sire. and it was a copy (which I assume is fine). Apart from the breeder is there anyone or is there a department or website I can check to see if she has been registered yet?

After receiving our Staffordshire Bull Terrier a few weeks ago it was only yesterday I received the paperwork for the pedigree. Can anyone shed some light on exactly what I should have received as all we were sent was: * Eye examination certificate * Hip and elbow dysplasia evaluation report * Certificate of registration and pedigree * Genetic analysis report Now here is the part that strikes me. The paperwork mentioned above is for the father of our puppy, not her own paperwork. I just assumed that we would have been sent our puppies paperwork (pedigree certificate and rego etc...) and nothing more. We are completely new to the puppy world and I do feel as though we should have been given more info on our pup. We paid $1500 for a limited register. Please help me to understand if this is the normal set of circumstances and if there is anything I am required to do myself to get her registered as a pure breed as we are more than willing to do so. I will greatly appreciate any info or redirection to another thread to gain a bit more perspective. Thanks in advance :)

I take Milly to Kirrawee Vet and after speaking with Dr Nicole she had advised us that as long as you know the location well enough and combine that knowledge with picking the puppy up if an adult or another dog comes close then you should be fine however speaking to your vet will be better advice than you will obtain from the forums :)
