Yep I heard the same caffy - nice work Cider and Scoota. I take it this means that the UDX god was missing though.
-
Way to go Melody - fantastic work - all brags are big brags .
-
Nice work Beth and Lottie . Fantastic work - to back up and get not one but two passes after a night of agility is something to be very proud of and to think you were giving up obedience eh ;).
-
Not only hazardous to the dog but the owner - the one and only time we have been into a similar park I volunteered to help with filming for something I ended up sending my dog through a concrete tunnel and badly spraining an ankle. They are so not user or dog friendly places.

Really - you have to ask permission to video. Never had any issue in all the years of trialling I have done and I have had plenty of rounds videoed and I have never asked permission or had problems with it.
-
Way to go SLLH - congratulations on your brilliant result . Hope there is video :D.
-
kallistar - good luck with it - a few weeks - you'll be right - friend and I did a demo routine in an hour and a bit and went out and performed it and it went ok . Practice is overrated ;).

Maybe I should have a clean out - think I have the CU book somewhere.

Retrieving & Field Training Talk

Fresh meat isn't hard to take for 2 days Mason - freeze solid in a little esky packed with ice. It should keep unspoiled for that length of time. Can you take things like tins of tuna or sardines for Mason? -
Dog Physio/chiro/acupuncture In Southern Adelaide?

Matthew would be my vote as well - never mind the fact one of dog has just about lived there this year. He is great though . He is even great with my shy timid one who is more than a little fed up with it all after having had so many people poke and prod her this year with her shoulder injury. I have been taking my older one to Matthew for years. -
thats just a normal night in the office for you though isn't it Ptolomy - you always use to have a zillion entries - no time to stress but no time to drink either .
-
Don't jinx her Caffy . Hope the gods are working for you this weekend Ptolomy .
-
Are they the kollarsbykathryn ones caffy - I just got 2 new ones recently from there or the ones from clean run that are on free shipping at the moment. Kenz tugs on anything as well . I try and keep her french linen ones for proper training sessions at club and have been using polar fleece ones whenever we want to train anything else just for fun .
-
Have you tried these ones caffy? http://www.cleanrun.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=1690&ParentCat=276 Curious as they seem similar to the one you linked to. Kenz totally shreds her french linen ones (and thats just in the process of training they aren't left with her) they hardly last at all. The leather ones end up seriously slimy and disgusting .
-
Way to go Toby .
-
Fingers crossed Ptolomy - will be waiting on results ;). Kenz's drop stays are now broken as are her sit stays - she was offering me sit stays when I left her in a drop and breaking her sit stays by lifting her backside and wanting to come racing after me. Hmmmmm back to the repair workshop we go.

Getting A Dog And Stuck On Breeds, Advice Appreciated

Aussies can be like Borders I think there are varying energy levels and its about finding a breeder to match the right temperament pup with the right person. I got my first BC who is now 11 when I was in second year uni and got another one 3 and a half years ago when I started my PhD . -
Asked To Leave The Field For Prong Collar Use
ness replied to davidthedogman's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
Would it just not be easier to have people remove leads and collars at the start peg - after all we can run our agility dogs without a lead or collar on so why not obedience - has never made sense to me. Maybe leave them on for stays in case a steward has to grab a strange dog but I don't see any reason why they need to have a collar on in an obedience trial. -

Are you for real bedazzledx2 . -
Way to go Nik and Annie - congratulations .

The DWD people seem pretty good at organising video of things - I know the Victorians seem to always video their comps so you might get lucky somebody might have it for you. I think there might even be a couple of SA people going over.
-
No that is "SPESHEL" Kenz that is normally reserved for when we train at home . Nobody believes me when I tell them she is a lunatic - now I'll just show them this video instead .
-
Thanks guys - she has come far - all the best with your routine Kallistar - you better have video to post after the event .
-
I think she was chanelling Piper - it certainly wasn't Kenz .
-
Yeah that is one way to look at it - lets just say i think we might be offering them a HTM demo for the trainee judges thing rather than a DWD freestyle routine although it would be interesting to see how they dealt with the "enthusiasm" on the score card . Certainly enjoyed herself out there and certainly wasn't bothered by the audience or the environment.
