hmmm or not. Although I have just had to pull out of the Open day demos because after the weekend Kenz is back on "rest" - well no obedience or anything resembling obedience for a bit .
-
Well a certain little miss who shall remain nameless generally doesn't get the Q because sit stays suck .
-
Wuffles - I still can't work out where i lost 3 points on a recall at the last trial when Kenz wasn't squiffy and everything I thought was pretty darn perfect yet the trial before she was definitely squiffy and lost 1 point.

Yeah went for a look and found them after I posted but I couldn't get the videos to play. Saturday will be interesting but it will give them something to think about if nothing more. It will not be polished and she will no doubt be feral and we aren't quite up to an Intermediate routine yet but shall see what happens :D. Apparently we are able to purchase a copy of the routine for $10 - hmmm not sure I really value my routine that much .

DWD photos and video where???? Trying to put some finishing touches to an Intermediate routine for Saturday for the trainee judges mock trial and OMG not sure what I have got myself in for the dog is nuts .

A couple of suggestions for the COP - practice on something like a table or on a step, or the gutter so she can't come forward. Alternatively use a barrier (I have been known to use a PVC jump bar but you could use a broomstick or anything). Place the reward behind the dog and send the dog back for the reward.

Matthew is great I have been taking my two BC girls to him for a number of years. We have recently also been using the physio that works out of the referral centre http://www.vetreferrals.com.au/emma.html as well as privately, Emma Kirby and she is great as well.

I keep offering Cyclone Miss Midget BC as a warm up pity she keeps wanting to take me up on the offer and then I decline at the last minute.

Well done CleoJ and Shandy - congrats on your second pass and fingers crossed the final one isn't to far around the corner .

Doesn't look old but has really really slowed down .
-
No amypie Ness doesn't look 11 although she is certainly showing her age now - all in the last few weeks .
-
Ness has only just started going grey recently and she has just turned 11. Kenz has been going grey since she was 12 months old .

I have a BC who is a little similar in that regard but she isn't allow to play with many dogs. I do let her play with a couple who are very in your face dogs and after 2-3 seconds of air snapping its game on and then she is happy to race around. To her its kind of like a reminder to the other dog that there are boundaries. Its no doubt a fear response and she certainly isn't allowed to go up to other dogs - if strange dogs come into her face then they will get told especially if I have a toy (so definitely an element of resource guarding). And she isn't a dog I would take to a dog park and let loose to play with all and sundry. There are certainly some dogs that appear oblivious to the show of teeth - the ones that rush up at the beach and are met with the teeth yet continue to persist when she obviously does not want a game include young goldies and labs.

Yeah don't talk to me about BLOODY BCS AND SIT STAYS!!!! - submitting petition for removal of them at the next rule change .

yes Gabby was very naughty with the cloth - she was like yep found it not bringing it to you mum. Didn't realize it was all you failed Xena - bugger. Also saw the auto finish on the DOR. .

Poor Lewis OSS - hope he hasn't to many negative lasting consequences had a moment like that myself this week but not at dog training where you expect people to know better .

Very scary - had it happen to Ness once and was majorly stressed. Glad you got it out ok.

Great to hear Amber is improving JulesP - hugs I can only imagine what your going through its hard to see them not right and know you can't do much about it .
-
I was going to comment on the pink lead and collar but decided against it and yeah I agree I thought the first dog looked much more like a GSP then a lab.
-

-
Well go on RS what did you do . Waiting to find out.
-
There are trainee judges here who have not titled in the sport and who aren't judges in any other discipline - in fact I am pretty sure none of the SA trainee judges are judges in any other discipline.
-
Thanks guys she did very very well - still smiling even nearly a week later . Why not enjoy cloud nine while it lasts.
-

Strauss did very well Ptolomy - certainly a performance not to be sneezed at - not bad for only going to be a stud dog .
