  1. My brother is tossing up between the two and I said I would ask the trusty DOL brains trust as to which they would recommend. He is into both video and photography. He has used a 5D MII or whatever it is at work to shoot video - he is in multimedia. And any advice on where best to purchase it from as well.
  2. Our local Foodland/IGA always has turkey wings and drumsticks.
  3. We have had a few here who have got it under the new post July rules. Couple of the oldies who were in there day competitive enough to place but one being a sheltie she just couldn't match it with the bigger dogs now since she has unfortunately past her prime. A lovely reliable little dog, certainly well deserving of the title .
  4. Its scary training at our club - 300/400s out number anything else - definite sheltie invasion happening.
  5. Kenz is a 400 dog we could travel west when she can play again . 500 here would win out but the other classes all seem to have a fair number. We have a number of 300/400 shelties.
  6. LOL yeah its hot today even little Midget is melting and zonked
  7. Kei probably thinks why couldn't mum get me one of those nice cute black and white midgety things I keep getting to meet up with whenever we come to Adelaide .
  8. bedazzledx2. Yeah go on blame Ptolomy . Good luck anybody trialling this weekend.
  9. grumpette I feel for you after having had a dog break 2 sit stays both on good scores. I am just so grateful the stay gods were looking out for me the day she was on her best 196 score. I would have been devastated if she had gone down like she did the following day .
  10. Release word from a stay Ptolomy?? Do you mean a release to a reward or a release to you? Any command is effectively a release from position to comply with that command but yep we also have a release to her reward :D.
  11. I use whatever I remember at the time - hmmm Kenz has "sit" means sit, "drop" means drop so I will use those when I leave her. But then if I have been training Ness I have been known to throw in a stay or a wait with Kenz .
  12. PAX - yep I agree must be time for a training video by now.
  13. Still waiting for bone spazzo video ;).
  14. kathq - thats like me who has a selection of tugs yet pretty much without fail seems to resort to using one or two and yet I still insist on taking them all with me.
  15. Except there has also been a change in conditions i.e. the amount due has varied (and even if that amount only varied by $1) legally it would be enough to make the contact void. You would need new acceptance of the changed terms and conditions which has not occurred in this instance.
  16. Hmmm breeders my shoot me but my view would actually be the same as the mothers - the pups are still only 5 weeks old there is a possibility that a new home might be found before they were due to leave anyway. So effectively they are costing the breeder no more then they would have otherwise - if she manages to find a new home before they go at 8 weeks then she is at no greater loss then she would have been and therefore they should offer a full refund. That is unless the breeder has occurred additional expenses as a result - i.e. if they have registered papers in the name of your mother.
  17. A training session tonight with a little more then we first bargained for - headed out to club early to do a bit of send away training and encountered not 1 bike but at least 25 bikes (no you don't see them all on the video but trust me). Not bad for a dog who is a serial bike chaser of the first order :D.
  18. speaking of raiding treat containers somebody must have read this thread before we left for training tonight. Hmmmm trained Ness who showed at 11 that life is a party and anticipated all her finishes in Open. Any way I put her away and got Kenz out, returned later with Kenz after putting Kenz through the ring and found Ness in my boot - jackpot container open (yep one of those plastic clip lock containers) and contents consumed. Nice work Ness . Ah well gotta laugh at the determination and thats just sooooo a Ness thing to do .
  19. Nice to see I am no longer in the top 10 posting in this thread .
  20. Ok on the subject of 200's - do different states find judges less or more willing to give out the "perfect score". Xena98 might be in a better position then me to know how regularly they are given out here in SA but the only one I am aware of here was a few years ago at the NYE night trial. I am not aware of any others (not to say they don't happen) but curious. I was having a bit of a chat to Seita who said in Qld there are a few a year and often to the same dogs. Any other states care to add there input?
  21. Ness has been known to open those plastic jackpot containers and help herself to their contents .
