  1. Kenz killed her small cuz yesterday I should have ordered some more small i-squeaks for her . She likes her little squeaks too.
  2. Way to go RS - fantastic work and a brilliant way to finish off 2011 . Bet you should be on cloud nine for a while to come.
  3. bless those noisy squeakie red kids.
  4. Nice work all round Ptolomy (and others). Congrats on all the titles and the attitude worth bottling .
  5. they do look pretty good hmmm hahahaha I could still put in my own order.
  6. I saw that yesterday - what a lovely video - nothing keeps a BC down for long .
  7. - that second package would also be the one containing my goodies .
  8. AD, Wikki's naughtiness with food must come from Portia's side - sounds like a Ness thing to do if you ask me.
  9. Kenz is patiently waiting on her ringeeezz to arrive they look awesome. I figure they will make an excellent toy to chuck in a pocket when we go to the park when I don't want her destroying her good training tugs. She ends up trashing those on a all to regular basis because all she wants to do is train.
  10. God that is insane Ptolomy . Windows smashed is taking it to a new level of desperation.
  11. My 11 year old BC still goes to club training each week, she first started around 4 months old and has a blast - we haven't been quite as often this year because my young girl has been on restricted activity but the old girl has kept me sane. The old girl got dusted off for the end of year agility breakup night and had a blast pairing my friends 7 year old sheltie on the strategic pairs course they had set up - they were only jumping 300 . And 1 month before her 11th Birthday we entered our very first tracking trial and walked away with a good (and quallie) for her test 1 . Considering bringing her out again when the tracking season resumes again next year. Maybe we can finish off a couple of more tracks and manage another title .
  12. well maybe you did actually mention her intitally she is after all a midget mallie wannabe - all is forgiven now though :D.
  13. sounds like you have absolutely no excuse then Ptolomy .
  14. Pfft SecretKei - one midget is now disowning you TOTALLY .
  15. I was going to say failing DOL you could check back through FB Ptolomy - you might have posted something there .
  16. Happy Border Collie Christmas - I am looking forward to my goodies even if the BCs aren't .
  17. The other thing to consider I would have thought is all the situations you wish to have both dogs where a dog trailer may not be practical as far as parking is concerned. A few people trialling have dog trailers but a number of the suburban obedience clubs aren't really dog trailer friendly. I know people who have them who have to get there really early to ensure they have somewhere to park them for example.
  18. Swimming is good RosieFT but not in excessive quantities - certainly not to the point where the dog is exhausted. I had similar issues with Kenz and was told "controlled" swimming and for not very long until she had built back up again. Controlled swimming means not racing after things, no waves, dead calm - ideally in a dog pool and for a duration no longer then a couple of minutes at a time. Sorry to hear she has come up lame again. I have given up looking at Kenz. Will pass no judgement until she has her treatment. She has been looking sorer with even the small amount of activity she has been doing.
  19. Really scary when they get out - I came home from work on Wed to a phone call from my aunt who lives immediately across the street who said she had put Ness back inside the gate as she was lying out the front by the gate. The week before my uncle had made some comment about putting Kenz back in. That didn't make a lot of sense but when Ness got out the following week it did. Ness use to be a serial escape artist in her younger days but hasn't in nearly 4 years. She is 11 and you would think she would much prefer to spend the day sleeping away. So last week was spent adding fencing reinforcements to the back fence (after another neighbour confirmed he saw Ness in his backyard the week before). My dad is coming home tomorrow from the country with additional reinforcements .
  20. In the meantime I am going to have a whinge - grrrrr so frustrated with short leash walks .
  21. Actually on the subject of PRP, when I first mentioned it to the chirovet I take my girls to back in May as a suggestion he said many many years ago when he did a locum with a Vet they regularly injected blood into injured joints to promote healing with such things as cruciate ligament rupture. So its not even a relatively new process.
  22. All I can say Flaves is the recovery can take forever so take it really slowly. The specialist recommendation for biceps tendonitis if you want to opt for conservative management is 8 weeks strict crate rest. Then gradual rehab - building up 5 min of leash walking at a time. You can then add back in swimming but the higher drive the dog the greater the risk of reinjury at any stage during the course of rehab. 4-6 months or even longer rehab isn't uncommon so just don't rush the process. Any sign of soreness is to much activity. You can also opt for a steroid injection into the tendon which can assist the inflammation to settle if coupled with strict crate rest. I would also look into the PRP (PM Inevitablue she was the one that put me onto it) - its a very low risk and relatively cheap alternative to anything more invasive, basically they take blood from the dog, prepare it and then reinject it into the tendon. Its suppose to help settle the inflammation.
  23. - goodonya - Ness entered one tracking trial this year and passed her TD 1, hanging out for next season already.
