  1. Well done Caffy and Snazzy, Rubystar, Mirrawee and Ptolomy and the Occasionally Clever one
  2. No problems with the service here either - placed an order last week and it was here the next day .
  3. gotta love a crazy red dog eh Ptolomy . Just like potato chips you can't stop at one.
  4. Well if she is Ptolomy its not obviously interfering with her ability in the trial ring at this stage . Fingers crossed and well done for last night.
  5. Good luck everybody - hopefully lots of DOL WA success.
  6. Sorry Kallistar - I knew you were in Novice I was actually half directing my comment at Tassie .
  7. Oh come on you have 3 weeks to prepare a starters routine I prepared an Intermediate routine in 3 days you'll be fine .
  8. LOL I see Inevitablue already has been in touch . I will say I think her specialist has adopted a super conservative approach to it but then I guess you get that when your dealing with an ortho guy. Its also a significantly chronic problem which I don't really want to go backwards with so I guess conservative is warranted in this instance. Kenz's specialist is actually off to the US to attend a conference soon at which PRP is to be discussed so will be interesting to see what he says when he returns.
  9. Forgot about this thread totally - Kenz has had a repeat course of PRP injections (so 2 treatments). One three days before Christmas, another follow up 3 weeks later. We have had a few other lameness issues i.e. a grade 2 medial luxating patella on her opposite hind leg that has popped up . Her ortho specialist has been treating her rehab as a post joint surgery rehab - so its been fairly strict. Started with rest then 4 short walks a day increasing the distance by 10% twice a week. We are 10 weeks down from her first injection and she is swimming for up to 20-30 min most days and having a 3 or 4 km walk in the afternoon with no evidence of post rest soreness or stiffness from the shoulder. She is still somewhat confined at home but has had the occasional fence running or racing down the stairs with no relapse. She is still not back to full activity but the specialist is taking things a little cautiously and I don't think it should cause her to many problems. Most of her lameness is now related to the patella - so she might not avoid surgery completely. She had a physio appointment this afternoon. Physio hasn't seen her since October last year. There was some tightness again mostly hind end stuff. Her shoulder was given a pretty good going over with no real trigger points or anything to be had. Her original diagnosis back in May last year was that she had a bit of a subluxation with her shoulder and it was suspected there was some ligament damage along with the biceps tendonitis. She presently has a degree of outward rotation but nothing eliciting any pain response and it all seems to have touch wood settled down. The real test will come when she is allowed to go back to full training - whenever that is. But still fairly confident in saying at this stage her shoulder seems to have come good. At this stage of things the physio wants to see some more hill walks/walking through shallow water and walking through soft sand which agrees with what the specialist as said she can do. We can also do some limited amounts of heel work and some gentle tugging. The suggestion at the moment from the physio is to give it another month of gradually adding and then see how she gets on.
  10. Bugger - maybe next time, would certainly love to see him in action :D. Love watching quality teams perform it provides so much inspiration .
  11. Well done Caffy would love to see some recent Snazzy obedience video if you have some . Well done Zug Zug for passing class 1 at obedience - babies are so much fun they are like sponges and pick things up ever so quickly.
  12. So would I Ptolomy - I have never seen him that happy in the ring. He was oozing confidence and looked to be having a blast. He certainly did very nicely .
  13. Well done everybody - congratulations :).
  14. Seems like my ability to predict 2012 as the year of plenty of UDX passes for a couple of my favorite WA kids was totally spot on and 100% accurate. Way to go both Brooklyn and Moo (and Bedazzledx2 and Ptolomy). Hoping you spoil both boys rotten . Hopefully there is champagne flowing a plenty - I am sure there is .
  15. Dr Ptolomy - forgot to add the chocolate and copious amounts of alcohol. Hope your ok emery - hmmm reminds me of the time I tried to a) trial in obedience with a sprained ankle and then b) tried to handle a dog around the agility course - hmmmm we did ok though 2 masters passes and a JDM title - was worth the absolute agony ..
  16. Sounds like you will be in good company bedazzledx2 . You can all go and sit in the naughty rebels corner together. I know where I would be hanging out .
  17. Had to go and see what the WA FB group was all about - great posting guys - it sounds like such poor form. Good on you for taking a stand.
  18. My whinge - care of 2 F****** feral dogs at the beach yesterday I have a seriously sore dog who can hardly manage doing any exercise without sitting down. . I just drove the poor girl to the oval and ended up sitting down with her and bursting into tears. I have been so careful with her for the last 9 weeks and I am seriously cheesed off right about now. :mad
  19. Here is a link that inevitablue sent to me re the stem cell stuff - http://www.australianstemcells.com.au/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=49&Itemid=92
  20. Not stem cells but Kenz had a series of PRP treatments into her shoulder in a final attempt to resolve what was considered to be a chronic case of biceps tendonitis. To me all treatments have to start somewhere and everything is experimental at some point. If they work and the risks are minimal then why not. One specialist wouldn't even consider it and was basically of the view she needed surgery, the second specialist was happy to follow through and at least give it a go. Nearly 9 weeks have passed and my youngster is the best she has been in ages and ages. I guess all I am saying is sometimes what one specialist writes off as not worth doing another specialist may see the merit in.
  21. Great news Ptolomy - what a relief :).
  22. Yep ring and have a chat to Christine - she is lovely .
  23. Yikes Ptolomy - fingers crossed everything is ok.
  24. Good luck with Louis and Gibbs and fingers crossed for a smooth and safe arrival of the new Ptolomy toller miss Chica .
  25. Hmm considering the staffie balls are lion proof - not sure how they would munch one of those.
