  1. My feedback is also relative to the fact Kenz is still a young and highly active dog and I am still trying to find a way to return her to sound enough to trial. For the moment I have resorted to normal drugs rather than supplements to try and help her along and past where she is currently. I have heard plenty of people who have used it successfully with older dogs. I am actually now about to stick my oldie on it as well so I will let you know how she gets on with the product.
  2. Kenz is still on the product (among other things) for the minute. And as best I can work out its suppose to be instead of things like Glyde although it can also be used in conjunction with any of the others. I do still give fish oil and have had it suggested by the people who sell the RHVC that its worth using in conjunction with fish oil. Kenz's situation is however a little complicated so I am not surprised its not working 100% for her.
  3. I will often leave dogs in the car on a training night or when trialling. Obviously not when its hot but they will spend a lot of time in the car except for when they are out training. I don't think there is anything inherently wrong leaving them in the car when its not warm. I will also let them come in the car to the shops. Especially if its only a quick 5 min trip to pick something up as it then saves messing with the gate at both ends of the journey. When my youngster had surgery last year (it was middle of winter at the time), I would pack her in the car and we would drive to the shops or a park or something and she would stay in the car for a change of scenery. My two love the car.
  4. Makes plans to sneak to WA and steal <cough cough> I mean borrow Cider and get her trained for agility . And well done again with Moo Ptolomy - what an absolutely stunning performance he had over the classic . I am looking forward to catching him on his final tour in a few weeks time . Between he and Brookie they both have to have words to miss Kenz so she knows how its done .
  5. Ptolomy has probably gone back to work for a rest .
  6. about the tramadol - a certain BC I know wasn't so keen and she use to try and stash them for later . Glad to hear he is brighter tonight :). Hopefully you can get some sleep tonight.
  7. Oh god I know - Kenz's LH MPL was diagnosed by chance because I was insistent there was something the matter in that hind leg. She was actually in the middle of having her shoulder treated for biceps tendonitis at the time. I had done my research, I continue to do my research and we will work out what is going on eventually. Just frustrating when they categorically tell you one thing, lead you down a garden path and then 8 months later say well guess what .
  8. Thanks for your response Rascal :).
  9. Hmm I think Kenz's situation is a little different JulesP - the suture was only used to protect the soft tissue repair while it was healing it was not "functional" as such. Her MPL repair failed because not enough was done in hindsight not because of whatever has gone on with this suture.
  10. Thanks for your response re the suture Rascalmyshadow - did they only come to the conclusion it was probably the suture when they went back in???
  11. No its not neurological as far as I can tell - sooooo wish I could have those months back last year when we were chasing something it wasn't . Kenz isn't "limping" as such its a little hard to explain she just doesn't put her full weight on the leg and shuts down.
  12. Yeah i am not sure on this whole internal suture argument - especially since two specialists aren't convinced. I do know its a 20 min procedure to remove it but she will then need resting for a fortnight. I really don't want to go down the path of opening her up if its not going to actually help and with 2 out of 3 suggesting it will not be of any value you have to er to the side of the majority for the moment I would think.
  13. paddles - obviously you need to work out what works best for your dog to get them into optimum state to trial but I would never "run" a dog more then necessary or do a practice round before going in the ring. They should be trained so that all you need to do is give them a quick toilet walk, they rest quietly in their crate or the car until you go in the ring then when you get them out you give them your undivided attention and into the ring you go. With my young girl I may get her out a few times before she goes in and just work a few short bits or give her time to assess the environment because she is nervy and does have drive to spare. Just my view but if my dog was "flat" before I entered the ring I think I would pretty quickly excuse the dog as its not something I want to encourage and its also not much fun for the dog if they are just going through the motions (whether they still manage to snag a pass or not). Any way the first one is now out the way and you can move on to the next trial and hopefully succeed .
  14. Thanks bianca - sounds like you could use as much luck as we could :D. I am so over this dragging on and on but when Kenz is still clearly having issues I am not convinced we are at the bottom of it yet . It is nice to see her back to her usual full on self though. She is still struggling with leash walks though so I am avoiding those and just letting her run at the park or go to the beach.
  15. Hugs from me as well bianca - recovery from such in depth ortho surgery is hard enough without having other complications to deal with which probably could have been avoided .
  16. Well Kenz has ended up back on pain meds (carprofen and tramadol to have as necessary) for the last 5 days and I was told I would know how good she was going to get after 4 days. Well she is definitely much better then she has been in ages. Coping with much more exercise and having absolutely no issues with the stairs. Her chiro vet still thinks it provides evidence that the internal suture needs to be removed. I am not really sure what to think but I do agree she can't live on pain meds indefinitely but there is obviously still something going on. Not really sure what to think at the moment.
  17. Have a look in the promotions section - http://www.budgetpet...?categoryID=330 They have Advocate but not Revolution listed on free shipping.
  18. Here are the camera specs off the canon page - 1920 x 1080 (FULL HD)30/25/24 fps, 22min @ 330MB/min 1280 x 720 (HD)60/50 fps, 22min @ 330MB/min 640 x 480 (HD)30/25 fps, 1hr 32min @ 82.5MB/min ETA. Maximum clip length appears to be 30 min - http://www.imaging-resource.com/PRODS/T3I/T3IVIDEO.HTM
  19. Hmm I would have thought you could do that megan. Lots of people have multiple devices. I have done other online courses and normally you are issued with a user name and log in and that isn't controlled by IP address as such. Even at home our network is set up for rolling IP addresses so I don't necessarily log in with the same identical IP address. Not that I am saying its the appropriate thing to go halves in the cost and two people access it. I did have a friend come around who was doing some of the SG courses and she used my wireless to log in so she could show me something but used her computer so I can only presume they are able to be accessed from multiple devices. My guess is the issue would be two people trying to log in simultaneously into the one account rather than two people using two separate computers or devices. I may be wrong though just based on my experience with other online courses.
  20. Kelpiechick - the suggestion about putting it away is because its highly possible that its something about the way you are doing things which has caused the problem. It may be a case of raising criteria to slowly and the dog thinking its doing what your asking. Sometimes for whatever reason the penny just doesn't drop the first time. Giving the dog a break can enable them to push through it without the same hang up.
  21. My brother has a Canon 60D and they have shot video footage and used it in a professional capacity (he works in advertising). The amount of video you can record would be limited by the size of the card you have to store it on.
  22. Good luck at the Classic guys. Will be stalking for results .
