I would be resting for the meantime and getting in touch with Primal Paws since your in Sydney :). http://www.primalpaws.com/. How old is your dog I am surprised you weren't offered anything else - if its a full tear and the knee is unstable then surgery is pretty much the best course of action. Speak with Dr Jaime (Jumabaar) if its a strain/partial tear then maybe you can rehab it.

I have always flown my BC girls in a 36" vari crate. Looks like the measurements are as follows which sounds like the measurements of your crate: 91X63.5X68.6 CM. I know people who have flown BCs in the size down so I think your fine.

Westiemum - not a grass seed - they can look similar to how you have described.

Another Snooza fan here - have had beds still going strong after 7 or 8 years. Definitely value for money.

I am in the fortunate position of only having to rent from family but I think my two BCs would be more interested in how comfy the bed and couches are then the size of the yard.

I didn't take my older girl to the airport when I collected my latest dog. She isn't great with other dogs and especially puppies and I seriously thought I'd have an interesting time on my hands. Puppy was allowed free time to explore when we got home before being put away in her puppy pen and my older girl let out to explore and say hi from the other side of the puppy pen. After about 24 hours my older girl was trying to get the puppy to play and they have been friends ever since.

If you want a mobile one you could also try Mucky Pups. Brigette is great :) - http://www.muckypups...u/braboutus.htm

The Spoilt Dog?? - not sure who is at their Highgate Store anymore or Prospect.

Are you talking about a bicep tendonitis - is it a front leg lameness? One of mine I resorted to having PRP injections as we had on-going lameness for 12 months. It would improve and then all of a sudden she was super lame again. Resolved once we did the PRP and then rehabbed as though she had joint surgery.

In a spoon of vanilla ice cream? Peanut butter is my go to for mine who needs lots of meds.

I would see if you can get some sort of barking log from the council if one has been provided. May help to determine the pattern if its a neighbour who has reported the dog. Is the dog getting sufficient mental and physical exercise? I would find a trainer but its hard to know without the full history if it warrants a vet behaviorist at this stage. The reason I would be asking for the data/facts is because council rang me and told me the dogs barked 24/7 and given I am home with them 24/7 at the moment I can assure you they were not.

Dr Karen Overall's Protocol For Relaxation

Sounds like awesome work. Best thing I did was switch our door bell off. Needed to post-op and while one dog was recovering from ortho surgery and have never turned it back on since. -
If you don't otherwise have a small crate - pending on breed the cost to purchase something like a PP40 through the airlines is only $20 more then it costs to hire. Not sure what breed you have but I have a BC and decided to purchase one as it would last me about a month or so before she outgrew it. I have larger crates from having had previous dogs but it was nice having a small crate I could have her in in the car for the first few weeks and a smaller crate in my room overnight which took up less room. I have held onto it for the moment but I figured I could always get the money back at some stage if I needed.

Not sure how often you brush but could you rotate - so can get benefits of both. Eg if you do it twice a week use one once a week and the other once a week.

I wouldn't stress to much I have flown my guys interstate for holidays a few times. If he is use to being in a crate other than making sure he has had ample opportunity to toilet before you get to the airport and making sure you have flight information taped to the top of the crate with a contact number I would relax. Have you purchased the crate or are you hiring one off the airline company. If your purchasing a travel crate then he will be use to his own crate otherwise a favourite bit of bedding which he has slept on if he isn't like to chew it.

How Much Do You Pay For Cartrofen?
ness replied to Pretty Miss Emma's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Not carprofen but I save around $60 on the cost of Rimadyl ordering online versus what the vet charged for the same amount. Having said that when I was getting medications through the specialist centre the price was much better then the local vet clinics will give me for the same quantity of drug. -
Wow I saved at least $60 on the cost of one med buying online - they definitely have a huge mark up on meds. What I order fits into the free postage category to.

Yes I use these guys - http://www.petceutics.com.au/ . Have ordered twice with no dramas. Normally use overnight shipping and always arrives promptly.

Looking For Advice - Sudden Back Pain In Whippet

A friend has been using a vet chiro up in Blackwood - Dr David Lindsay and she has been especially impressed with him. http://www.adelaidechirovet.com/contact -
My understanding is some do some don't and not sure you can really avoid a recurrence. Ness had an episode at around 13.5 and recovered fine and didn't have any further episodes in her remaining 10 or so months of life.

You could refer to the Dogs SA page to see what breeders exist in SA. Not all registered breeders are members of Dogzonline.

I would also advise against rushing to surgery. I would consider consulting with a rehab vet phyio and given your in NSW my recommendation would be to see Dr Jamie Jackson at Primal Paws. I would consult with her and trust her judgement as to whether surgery was necessary at this stage or whether a more conservative wait and see approach with some structured physio exercise program would be suitable.

Injured paw pads are such a bugger and BCs are so bad for doing them. I would keep his exercise to soft surfaces so they have time to heal. They can take ages and ages unfortunately . I would suggest investing in a pair of boots if he runs on that sort of terrain often but being a puppy he is probably still growing as well. You can use kids baby socks over his feet to provide some protection while they heal.

Depends on the dogs natural retrieving style though. There are safe ways to play fetch. One of mine very naturally continues forward momentum and collects when catching before returning. She does get more fetch although I also have a modified version where she runs out and then comes walking towards me and catches on the walk up. I would definitely second getting a rehab appointment with Jaime/Primal Paws. She is awesome :).
