  1. Hmm Ness did enter a tracking trial and pass her track 3 for her title - wahoo. Kenz entered at track 1 at the last trial of the year and passed. Still longing for 24 hours when she is 100% fine but that seems not very likely to ever be reality again.
  2. sorry I should have clarified online shopping for items which require a "fit".
  3. try fitting a skinny chested BC - almost as difficult. I hate shopping for things online.
  4. Glad to see you found a harness. They seem very much like the comfortflex one and I love how that one fits on mine and use it for tracking.
  5. Poor Joey - hope you manage to get some answers tomorrow. Thinking of you.
  6. Good luck for Thursday and Friday. Will have my fingers crossed and the BC girls will have all their paws cross for Joey.
  7. Just thought I'd add - Bellevue Heights is a lot closer then Anzac Highway. Bellevue Heights is just near Flinders Uni at the end of the express way.
  8. Hugs to Joey. Sigh Kenz is on truckloads of drugs which aren't really helping greatly and have had a few days of really struggling the last couple of days .
  9. They should be able to do that Jules - normally they book the appointments so if they need to do anything they can admit the dog on the day.
  10. I would agree with taking him to the specialist to get the x-rays done if thats the path you want to go down. Very specialist business this to the extent where the ortho guy referred Kenz to the neuro for x-rays if we wanted spinal x-rays taken .
  11. Dr Douglas is consulting at Bellevue Heights as far as I am aware so at least its the "right" side of town to have to get to. Its always such a hard decision to make as to what to do .
  12. Jules - if it was me I'd get in touch with Dr Ian Douglas. He is a really good neurologist and will let you know the options you have available. He also seems fairly matter of fact and doesn't go pushing unnecessary diagnostics in my experience. He was happy to organise spinal x-rays for Kenz when there was some suggestion her issues might be more neurological then ortho related. I am not totally sure on his whereabouts at the moment as he is no longer listed on the SA Vet website however it is my understanding when I recently suggested him to somebody else is that if you call there you might be able to get a mobile number and contact him that way.
  13. Kenz is grateful cos she would have taken offense to the ear comment .
  14. well I thought I would see what I'd get and guess what I got a photo of my own dog . Kenz is/was a BC type but she refutes the ears not quite behaving so not sure if you mean her .
  15. Totally agree BC4Me. Kenz had a blast doing her royal DWD demo a few years ago. Took me a bit by surprise given she had only just started coping in the normal world of trials and it was a huge jump from that to expecting her to work and perform at the royal. The demos were on after General Specials so at the end of the royal and the ring had similarly been used all week for showing dogs and there was food on the ground. I might just be thinking about a starters freestyle routine for my oldie . Want to get out and there and do something and she seems up for it after racing around her track at the tracking trial the other weekend. Will give it some more thought.
  16. Which guy?? But good to hear you had your questions answered to your satisfaction.
  17. SAODC have some sort of foundation puppy thing happening as well from my understanding.
  18. Not surprised by the Standard Poodle - boy can that dog move. Live streaming from the Ekka is a good addition to .
  19. Hope Steve can help you teekay. I owe him for helping me so much with Kenz to the point where she can cope with strangers whereas before she wanted to disappear out the trial ring and would shut down. It certainly has made all the vet visits and poking and prodding a little easier on her. She even has special strangers now that she will approach happily and get excited by .
  20. Glad to hear its of more value kelpiechick. I wasn't considering it in any event just was interested when I saw the discussion and complaints raised.
  21. Teekay I had a private consult with K9Pro when he came and gave an Adelaide workshop and can highly recommend him so if it was me I'd be going the private consult path. Kenz is/was nervous of strangers and he was certainly valuable in helping me overcome her problems. Huski will probably come along and give her recommendations but I find private consults better for solving issues then I do a workshop which is much more about getting more basic/general advice rather than specific behavioral advice.
  22. Probably better he does play up then you can get the help you want - not like the dogs who won't put a paw out of place when your trying to explain a problem and they do whatever it is perfectly.
  23. Interesting to see what you think of it. I am thinking that may be the one people were complaining about on the Clean Run list as not being anything but playing tug with the dog.
