Depends how much money I feel like blowing when I enter a trial . Today we did 6 runs and it was scorching out there 38 by the end of it (well and the start of it). We had a single agility/jumpers and then a jumpers trial. Usually our trials are double agility/jumping so agility/jumping in the morning and again in the afternoon. If I entered everything I am eligible for it would be 8 runs. Sometime we would have a double weekend so that would be 16 runs in a weekend. I have done 7 runs a day - 1 normal agility/jumping trial and then games when I was away and I entered everything at nationals (something like 16 runs including a finals run). Mostly I enter what I am still trying to get quallies for titles so for us its JDM/ADM/ADO. I started with her JDO title and finished that and then moved onto her ADO title. I now only do JDO runs at special events (for example Autumn International and we bombed both LOL).

I was down at the Petstock near Daws Road and they stocked it. I was trying to find the small bags of eagle pack holistic and they only had the 3kg not the 1.5kg .

Laffi for what its worth Ness has only ever been C3/C4 vaccinated. C3 as a pup and C4 as an adult and has been around lots of dogs who have ended up with Kennel Cough and never caught it. Definitely wouldn't need a C5 unless you plan on boarding your dogs in the near future.

National Agility Team Challenge In Adelaide
ness replied to baileyb's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
Well BB you know more than any of my friends who are also in the team seem to know (well my WA friends at any rate). I was trying to decide if I came out or not. Guess I might trek out to SACA on Sunday arvo. Not sure about where else you can swim them leash free. Hmm FHRP there is an undercover area at Pedigree Park. Not sure about extra undercover areas I know last year when it was at the expo they did. I only have a small gazebo so it would probably be a bit cosy. -
National Agility Team Challenge In Adelaide

Isn't the Teams Challenge at Pedigree Park on the Sunday as well not SACA?????? All the beaches are off-lead before 10am and after 8pm. The beach is roughly 5 minutes if that from Pedigree Park. I am entered on the Monday. PS. If you want a copy of the trial catalogue for Monday drop me a PM with your email address. -
I was going to say Ness is on interceptor as well laffi.

Amypie Lara has her OC, Blaize was retired from UD so nope doesn't have her OC. Scoota is Ptolomy's first homebred Toller with an OC and not sure how many OC tollers are around (there is at least 2 I can think of) but still not very numerous in the breed. Go Ptolomy and the Scoota red dog. Bet she will be on cloud nine for weeks to come. What she didn't mention is she also made the decision to retire her old girl Lara who is still going strong at 11+ years and happy as anything. You should hear the noise as you drive into the K9 grounds if Lara is in the car - she just gets that excited. Lara was a $50 pet shop puppy and you can bet she was the best $50 that Ptolomy spent. Enjoy your retirement Lars and way to go Scoota .

I know FHRP Ptolomy makes me jealous - I just want one 190+ score once. Well done to the red dogs.

Yep the turbo chook is a big hit in our house as well - even with a dog who isn't hugely into toys .
-
Good one Lars :p . I think I would have a problem if I taught Ness to open the fridge - she might do it not on cue and help herself to the fridge contents .
-
Yes the Staffies appear to love them - food or no food .

There is a money back guarantee on the home alones that "if your dog doesn't like it...your money back!" The item must be returned to AussieDog with proof of purchase at the purchaser's expense. If there is no dog damage, and the item is clean we will cheerfully refund your purchase price. The toy must be returned within the specified warranty period. If that helps anybody hesistent to outlay the money in advance. That was taken directly from their website.

It is possible to drill another hole into them down the bottom to make it easier for the dogs to get the food out .
-
Yep have on and its sitting in the cupboard not played with . Seriously though if your dog is into tuggy they are great. I think part of Ness's issue was she got a tuckerball first so couldn't work out the home alone.

What about having a chat to Ann Bulke - at Camp Tailwaggers. She is a goldie breeder and is sure to be able to provide guidance. I am not sure where on the Gold Coast you are but she has started a club each Sat at her property. I can send you a weblink otherwise just google Camp Tailwaggers.

What about raw fish laffi - Ness can't stand it but some of Ptolomy's kids eat it. ETA. Watch out Amypie Ptolomy might start checking out what K is getting for treats
-
You are very fortunate that all your kids think they are permanently deprived and will do backflips for anything Ptolomy . ETA. Laffi hmmm guess what I am going to tell them when we train Sat week .
-
Hmmm apparently Ptolomy said I should give a list of what I used prior to my WA flogging - er um nothing very original mainly just cooked sausage and cheese and raw chicken necks as jackpots . Can you tell what I learnt BIGTIME - argh Ness threatened to go back and live with Ptolomy if I didn't improve my range of treats .
-
yes poodlefan LOL but that she hasn't had that in over 12 months too much else to use now LOL.
-
Hmm where do I start.................. <waves at Ptolomy> Hope I am not giving away too many secrets - First up normal treats if I want lots of repetitions as she is still learning: - Cheese - Cooked sausage - Raw Chicken necks cut into thirds - Bits of raw kidney frozen - Raw sweet potato - Assorted left over cooked meat so things like roast beef - Herb and garlic kangaroo kebabs cut up into small pieces - Also have been known to use carrot, frozen peas, frozen beans, bits of fruit like pear chopped up - Smoke salmon - Occasionally things like fritz - Small raw pork ribs Then we have jackpots (basically anything she would get for a meal) - Chicken frames - Pork ribs - Turkey wings - Lamb forequarter - Chicken wings - Marrow bones - Tins of Tuna - Sardines - Yoghurt - Even veggie mix with a hint of tuna or something. I guess you could say very rarely does she not get her food as a reward or something. I might do a set of scent articles and then tell her she is absolutely brilliant then run inside and get her a frame out of the freezer. I might place her food on the ground and about turn and send her to go and eat it. I have also been known to fill her bowl with something like sardines and then let her help herself to a small amount before taking it back and then working on something else. Darn Ptolomy was too quick and posted her list first!!!!!!!!

Probably cos you have far more multipliers than I do FHRP - arggh I just want a JDM and ADM title.
-
LOL yep I agree I am not applying for mutipliers either but still add them in an unofficial capacity  .
