  1. So what your saying is I have been a bad slack handler and undeserving of a UD pass and a 190 in open :p ;) ;) . Oh well I'll put my lawyer hat on him and draft up a contact for next years trial passes :D .
  2. What happened to my UD pass and my 190 in Open Ptolomy - I thought you said you were going to write in your santa letter how good I had been this year and how deserving I am :D .
  3. I forgot to add Ptolomy the Directed Jumping god has to be mine for a bit - Scoota can have him only on interstate trips and for the nationals!!! as well as the glove god. Wait no I want priority over the UD gods pretty please!!!!! At least till I decide to give it away LOL.
  4. Well I guess I can start my list NESS Obedience - a UD pass or two (ideally 3 but lets not get to greedy) and a 190 Open score (although just working nicely consistently would be ok) Agility - 2 more ADM passes and 3 more ADO passes so I can retire her Tracking - I really want to give this ago so maybe a TD but then I have been meaning to give it a go for a while and its still on the list Freestyle - well thats going to depend if we have any judges and any trials KENZIE Obedience - maybe CCD/CD or at least trialling Agility - possibly a pass or two in something or might hold out till 2010 before I start trialling. Herding - HT or PT possibly
  5. Some of us still have 2008 to finish off - will get back to you in the new year :D .
  6. Rugerfly I don't think its so much the brand of camera but the quality of the models . Just as well I have two gorgeous BCs to photograph hahahaha.
  7. Yeah just read that - now I discover I should have got a nikon instead .
  8. Now I want to go out an buy one - hmmmm maybe I should go shopping on the weekend.
  9. Lowenhart thats what my girl's breeder said about mammery cancer. She said she had never had a problem with any of her entire bitches that she has owned.
  10. Hmm ArtyFarty - I have been battling this dilemma at the moment and still haven't got my 8 month old BC girl desexed (although she will be). There are some people recommending that performance dogs only be spayed once they have fully matured so they have the hormones available to close of the growth plates appropriately. So I think the recommendation is around 14 months. She hasn't had a season yet but I know its only a matter of time before she might come in. Her mother apparently came in at 9 months but a half sister didn't come in till 11.5 months. My girls breeder usually recommends spaying at 8 months to bitches she puts into pet homes but has said if I can look after her properly there is no reason why I couldn't have her done after 1 season if I wished. She recommends any boys are desexed between 14-16 months. So at the moment I am leaning towards letting her have 1 season but that might change.
  11. Yah my package arrived today about time . Kenzie's favourite in the entire box is the jolly ball that I nearly didn't end up ordering  .
  12. I would also try it in the yard somewhere where the dog is safe, and like Tassie mentioned on a nice light line. If the dog is into playing fetch or something get the dog involved in a game and then casually pick up the lead. With our first BC I remember mum use to give her the lead to carry while she walked and didn't try and hold onto it for ages. I was lucky with my second pup. I just clipped the lead on and walked my older girl with her and no problems at all.
  13. Oh yeah external HDs are absolutely necessary. I had a small clean up of my HD yesterday and managed to only remove about 2 gig worth .
  14. One of the places in the central market will order them in for you if you ask. I got a friend to order 10 in for me a while ago. I can find out the name of the place from her and post it here.
  15. I would write a list out of what you want and ask some of the gurus in WA Ruby. Ptolomy is there and she is absolutely awesome but there are others to like Sue Hogben and Deb Hyde .
  16. Winpara dogs don't get seriously fugly . This about as fugly as they get:
  17. Hmm dunno this clip had a sheltie on it and she said only her first one was naturally focussed.
  18. LOL LP - no sharing out all my linkies will yah . I am still tossing up on whether the DVD is necessary can't find enough about it. I did find a clip somewhere that said some dogs are blessed with naturally good focus - I guess my newest addition is just lucky.
  19. Tassie but you need them for Master Rory . Oh wait maybe I'll send Miss Kenzie down for a visit and you can teach her to weave as a practice run. Let me know when the dvd has arrived and I'll send her over.
  20. I would agree especially the stronger the drive. I have had a pup who has been a mad keen focused retriever since she was 9 weeks old (although obviously it was limited at first so that in itself increases drive). She is now 8 months and if you have a ball forget anything else thats all she cares about.
  21. Awwww jealous Ptolomy. I have to say I have a single handed furry tug and Kenzie is besotted with it (although she is with most toys) however this one if my training bag is open she will steal it and take it away and pull the fur off too . Darn hopefully my package arrives soon too .
  22. A friend interstate said if you can work out what days the supermarkets mark there prices down thats a great time to stock up. A friend gets duck frames from a store in the central market. They weren't such a hit with my 2 though and Ness will eat everything .
  23. I end up just grabbing whatever I find on special at the local supermarket. I figure quite a lot of the time but the time I have driven to wherever the saving is negligible.
