  1. Kynan - he recommended 6 months between visits to me unless something happened in the interim although my girl will be 9 in September so I should probably take her more often.
  2. Yep second that Matthew is fantastic. Once every 3 months Kynan geez I try and not see him that often although our latest run without somebody injuring themselves seems to be improving as we were last back there at the beginning of March .
  3. Yeah but we all guessed as much anyway LP .
  4. Good question LP - I must not have been putting my sentence together I didn't mean I had picked one I am sure Kenzie would take any playmate . Ok Rubystar you have a deal you get the fluppie and I will move on in with miss K .
  5. Nah LP stacked photos are BORING . Already told you what I thought and which one is being put in a padded post bag and popped in the mail for Miss Kenzie to play with .
  6. Well done TSD and congratulations to everybody else who did well.
  7. I take my two to the Hawthorn Road Vet Clinic and have never had to many problems with them unlike the Colonel Light one which when my dog had an eye infection we couldn't get in for 3 days or something and then when mum rang the Hawthorn Road one they said she needed to be brought down immediately.
  8. Think it was on SG's blog or somewhere in the dvd where she mentioned not using a clicker/bridge. Would have to go back and have a look though as I can't remember where it was discussed.
  9. Yeah pretty impressed with it. She wasn't quite as reliable as she has got at home but given there were some kids kicking a football at the end I was sending her to and in her opinion they are still a pretty scary prospect she did well. And its always the way I find when I try and video something that they make more mistakes then normal. Now to go out today and video some with the jump involved cos she keeps messing that up and I am trying to work out whats going wrong.
  10. Finally got a chance to go to the park and video some weaving through 6 poles (got to get my 6 off my friend). Not bad for a baby dog with just under 2 weeks weave pole training - and hap hazard at that.
  11. Fingers crossed for any pass tomorrow as any pass will lead towards a title - although knowing Ness she has probably had her dash of passes and we won't come close. Sorry to hear about your dog Silva, fingers and paws crossed for a speedy recovery.
  12. I guess I shouldn't say I just stuck out two metals - one unscented one scented and she would go over the top of the unscented to retrieve the scented even if she wasn't watching where I put it . Must be beginners luck LOL.
  13. Nah it probably doesn't either. I might join you in teaching scent discrim later - Kenzie seems to have finally decided she can pick up her metal off the ground .
  14. I would just place the 4 cans out randomly.
  15. Yep that is what I was meaning (well she just doesn't do it with babies but adults too ). Lots of different articles and changing the one they are finding each time you send them.
  16. Have you played Sue's game she uses for teaching baby dogs to do scent work LP??
  17. My BC pup was crate trained in a 36" crate as that is all I had with no divider. Didn't seem to cause a problem and she was a small pup too. She still learned not to toilet in there and we had no accidents in the crate bar night 2 when she had a runny tummy and silly me thought she was fussing cos she didn't like being crated not because she needed to go out again (this was after she had already been out twice in the space of an hour). So my view is you can probably get buy without a divider and just using the full size crate. I also made sure she was taken outside at appropriate intervals and not given the opportunity to go in her crate. Having said that she was also being taken out to trials from 12 weeks and would spend time in her crate during the day and never had a problem in there.
  18. Noble restraint or sent the poles on a holiday so I wouldn't dare  .
  19. I think its also size dependant. My girl is a small, light frame BC and I ran past our vet/chiro on her last checkup was she able to start doing agility type work and he saw no problem with her starting around 12 months (she was just short of 12 months when I took her). His view was that a dog is more likely to be injured doing repetitive ball chasing then doing anything agility related. I did 4 days of weaving with her over easter (she was just over 12 months) and then gave her a break for a few weeks and she has been having small short sessions on and off over the past week (she is now 13 months). I guess it comes down to all things in moderation and don't go out there and flog the dog.
  20. Well Kenzie managed 12 poles at training last night - so wasn't intended but they were there and I thought I would see what happened. Now back to the 2x2s though as I only did a relatively simple entry and she is far from reliable.
  21. Wagsalot - just for information sake the thing I found interesting with the two tuffies I have is that they seemed to actually encourage the dog to kill them whereas normal standard soft toys get played with and not killed.
