Kenzie already gave me my christmas and birthday present rolled into one a few weeks early .

Its also my birthday RubyStar . Ness didn't give me a birthday present last year so I am not even going to try this year.

I haven't entered this year - did last year and it was a LONG night .

Think we need one of Scooter scent discrimination with a bowl of breakfast in the middle .

They only have to have a minimum of 60% PAX I was told by some people to make them a minimum of 80% just to be sure.

Hmm my youngster has no problems holding a stay while I throw toys over her head, while there are agility dogs racing around, while she is in front of a jump on a lead-out but she still can't do an obedience stay .

Well I have just watched Ness's routines and I would have failed the first one and passed the second one so mind boggles what they were judging .

Steve seems to be missing in action at the moment - although its probably a very busy time of year - hopefully we shall hear something soon.

HTM to music the routine has to have a minimum of 60 or 70% heelwork (there are 8 "heel" positions). Freestyle is anything goes. Ness did some nice work just only managed a single pass in the morning for her freestyle routine. Still don't understand why she didn't pass in the afternoon as well - never mind.

It was - would have been nice of they could have both got a title but ah well.

Am just in the process of putting together the video to upload :D .While your waiting though I thought i would add that Ness managed to win the starters heelwork to music class in the morning - just without a qualifier and she also placed second to her sister in the afternoon. I have to say I am still on cloud nine this morning and think it will take a while before I come down off it. I am so proud of my little baby she had already far exceeded my expectations before stepping foot in the ring at the trial yesterday and she is an absolute Superstar :D :p ;) .

Will just say I have finished having a watch of Kenzie's winning HTM routine and her PM freestyle routine and OMG it was absolutely super. Awww my baby girl did so very well.

Sure am - I couldn't be more pleased with her. If you had seen how she was when I tried to take her into her first HTM event first thing this morning and how she was behaving to having her first title - the first SA dog with a DWD dogs title and the baby girl showing up her older sister I am sitting here in tears . The first HTM routine we did was really a disaster - she was so scared of the surroundings and tried to leave the building once before we even started. I was seriously starting to doubt my decision and whether it was the wrong thing to have done. I quickly decided attempting any sort of a routine was a no go zone and spent the remaining half of the music just trying to make her feel comfortable. Well she came out all guns blazing in the freestyle. It was my normal cheeky midget who I have when I train in the yard. I nearly thought about scratching her from the HTM in the afternoon but thought what the hell and she really came out firing. I am a bit sad that Ness missed out on her freestyle title by 1 point in the afternoon round but really she did her best too. Her routine was much nicer then the morning routine - guess thats the luck of the draw. As for the no excuses for obedience - hmmmm goodonya Ptolomy - she is still pretty people timid and yep it showed but it was nice to see she might just get there and did give me a glimmer of hope that I can keep working her through it all and maybe have the dog of my dreams.

Well guess who is a little super star. Back from the DWD competition in Sydney today and my little shy midget Kenz was a superstar. Ness managed 1 pass in starters freestyle and some near misses in her other three events (2 heelwork to music and 1 freestyle) but the star of the day was Kenz. She managed 3 quallies from her 4 events including a first place in PM heelwork to music with an absolutely lovely routine and also a forth place in freestyle PM for her first ANKC title . Go my little shy Kenz monster. Who would have thought I could take her interstate and come home with her very first title . Lots of celebrations here tonight.
