  1. Hmmm Youtube is misbehaving so I here is a list of all the clips i have managed to upload Kenzie Line ups/pivoting - Pivoting with toy distraction - Heeling - Recall - Recall presents with distance throwing food - Ness
  2. MonElite - I am not about to mention the collection of tug toys I have built up over the 9 years I have had dog 1 and she didn't even really tug . Thankfully the youngster its getting reasonable mileage out of them all .
  3. K9: I think I will be bringing some, haven't thought that far ahead as yet. Yes would be interested in you bringing some to the workshop to. Although truthfully I probably don't need any more tug toys . One can never have to many training toys isn't that right everybody .
  4. Some training videos of my two working tonight - Kenz Ness
  5. Hehehe goodonya amypie - hmm I could probably lay my hands on the videos that you filmed - brb. Here we go amypie's videoing attempt: Awwww look at my Ness in her very first UD trial .
  6. Well I just flicked on the video camera and did some training with mine so will see what it comes out like .
  7. Goodonya amypie . You did manage to video some of my round for me back when we were there . And there was more that just grass in the video .
  8. Tassie you could have been in Novice everything with Rory too if you had got some training in . I did offer you Kenz to take over and run but for some reason you declined that invitation ;) .
  9. You could just come to Adelaide, about time we get one though because you guys have all had the good fortune of attending previously - think its time you shared .
  10. So I hear ;) . I have told Midget she better get her act together else she mind find she is forced to have red dog company in the future as I consider defecting to a different colour breed . Unfortunately for me she seems to think that plan sounds like lots of fun especially if its a red boy .
  11. Ptolomy I will have a clean up and see what I have left. Maybe I can send the extras over with Rivsky when she goes to the Nationals . I have some box ones that I never use ;) .
  12. Oh I dunno Ptolomy - that Beans dog of yours might just give Alex a run for his money . But hey I don't mind as long as a red dog (or a black tri) comes out on top thats all that matters . I just love watching all the red kids work (and of course we can't forget Brooklyn even though he obviously isn't red ). All I have to say its not just the fact that the dogs are all so well trained and enthusiastic but the fact that the handlers all do an equally impressive job of getting there acts together ;) .
  13. Hmm I think it must have been an imposter debazzledx2 - sounds like somebody switched your dog for an untrained model . Glad I have girls .
  14. actually I shouldn't laugh Ness decided she couldn't keep 4 feet on the ground while we were heeling the other night and she will be 10 later in the year . I do love Alex's enthusiasm for his work though. Well my girls got an extra week off because it was to warm for club training tonight and we headed to the park and they played under the sprinklers - oh what a hard life they lead.
  15. bedazzledx2 - has anybody asked Alex when he might settle down a fraction.
  16. bedazzledx2 I have a lot I bought as job lots on that assumption but I still have them all and keep giving them away.
  17. go Alex. Caffy the look on your face as he did the recall on the COP was hilarious .
  18. Nah not worried about the people. I go into auto pilot cruise control .
  19. Kenzie likes pats/cuddles and any form of interaction whether that is with or without a toy. She will come flying in with her ball and throw herself in my lap when we are at the park and I am sitting down on the grass being lazy. I am not keen on the whole verbal encouragement bit because of the fact it can reinforce the dogs response in a situation. Last week I just ignored it her freaking at the post and then rewarded the moment she looked back at me and decided it might be ok. Second time around the post she was still casting sideways glances, third time a little less, forth time better again. Still her heelwork does slip out of "drive". You can feel the difference when I am handling her even if its not totally apparent when watching.
  20. The only interesting thing I have found with the i-clicks is there can be quite a difference in volume level between them. Even ones from the same place can vary.
  21. Can't post in the breeders thread but its the Nobivac vaccination that is suppose to be effective at 10 weeks.
  22. From memory this crowd have clickers at a good price: http://www.gameondogs.com.au/
  23. :D Ptolomy - some of us have never lost a clicker ever.
  24. Ah ok - sorry misunderstood - my vet does 12 and 16 week ones (and whatever before obviously) but I am only a pet person so don't have to worry about the first vaccination.
  25. I think most Adelaide vet clinics still seem to recommend the 3 puppy vaccinations and I am struggling to find something in my local area (similar area to you) that will recommend anything less than annual vaccinations. I take my two to the Hawthorn Vet Clinic on Belair Road and while they recommended 3 puppy vaccinations I only took my girl for 2. I find both the vets good for other things (they only have the two) and the vet nurses are friendly. They are always happy to have you drop in and weigh dogs and they remember the dogs names even if they are only in there infrequently. When my two have had to have surgery (desexing) or even grass seeds removed they have been happy to accomodate requests of dropping the girls off as late as possible and picking them up as soon as I am able to. If you need an appointment for something relatively urgent then they have no issue accomodating that. In comparison we started off with the Colonial Light Gardens vet clinic but when my older one had an eye infection they couldn't fit her in for 3 days whereas mum rang the Hawthorn Vet clinic and they said she should come down that day as you shouldn't mess around with eyes. My two have gone a number of times to the Glenside Vet Clinic to use the hydro pool but still go to our normal vet clinic for appointments.
