  1. Thats Ptolomy's spreadsheet which I converted into an image file to upload here. Sorry should have posted that at the top. All corrections better go to her.
  2. Looks good Caffy. I love the discussion during the signals and the talk when Alex thought about missing the halt - goodonya Ptolomy and bedazzledx2.
  3. Nah RubyStar Open stays are especially bad when its your dog and your sitting on a title or sitting on a place at the Royal - hmmm just ask Ptolomy and Bedazzledx2 ;) . I can't remember how I managed to walk in upright on Ness's third open pass never mind getting through 5 minutes of down stay without passing out.
  4. ;) BC4ME - quite and shy is me but I can still make a fool of myself and post my videos all over youtube ;) .
  5. Hmmm my ETA. Didn't work before my net timed out - I was going to say at least huski is brave enough to post video where are yours BC4ME ;) .
  6. ;) huski hope he isn't going there first ;) .
  7. ;) laeral and he has promised to come to Adelaide in May and help fix miss trouble with a defective off-switch so no running away just yet ;) .
  8. Sorry can't help you out but there are youtube clips of people doing both obedience and agility with their dogs from a wheelchair. http://www.youtube.com/user/lkalberda#p/u
  9. Wahoo go Alex . What an achievement . Congrats also to Brooklyn and Ptolomy's kids. Sounds like everybody is in fine form leading into next weekend .
  10. I was able to use targeting to get Kenz to approach people she has been afraid of. She actually started volunteering the behavior towards certain people in the hope of getting a reward out of it.
  11. I have seen hand targeting used in the obedience ring as a "reward" between exercises. I have also seen other tricks (spins/twists/leg weaves) which have been paired with food to the point where they become self rewarding for use in the obedience ring.
  12. I am wondering if Ptolomy does end up ordering from Clean Run and there is only a 10% discount on offer whether its easier if we just order them separately. I am happy to do an order for anybody in SA and we can split the postage costs directly from Clean Run. I think there are 5 or 6 SA people ordering so it would probably work out about the same for us to order them directly. Ptolomy if you want us to go about it this way then that is an option. Just trying to make it easier for you.
  13. Bully - will bring one out on Tue night and show you .
  14. Nope Asari no other emails have gone out as yet but it is definitely happening. I gather from other threads that there are some big changes happening at K9Force so probably explains the lack of information about the Adelaide workshop so far. I was assured early on that the most problematic thing was getting a date and a venue sorted and so as long as people aware what the date and time is the rest will fall into place . ETA. If any other emails do get sent out I will keep this thread updated so that people know to be looking for one - presuming that is ok with Steve.
  15. Good luck Dova - I am having the night off .
  16. When I started I did start with a ball at the park and Kenzie is as ball mad as they come. I did a bit of collar holding and then less pressure combined with throwing the ball short distances before expecting her to hold it while I threw it greater distances. We also did other work other than holding a stay with the ball on the ground so she knew just because the ball was there didn't mean she could help herself. So I would heel her around the stationary ball on the ground and release her to get it when she was working nicely.
  17. Susan Garrett did it if the dog couldn't stay with the ball or tug toy thrown in front, she would start with dog at heel in a sit and drop the toy on the outside - i.e. the side away from the dog and release them around her body to get it. That way if they broke the handler could get the toy before the dog could. Funny on teaching stays - my youngster has no problems holding a sit stay while I throw food at her, launch the ball as far as I can with a chuckit and when released she will accelerate to collect the toy, dance around and she stays put, but try a boring sit stay with no activity and argh its a mess.
  18. Kenz says in with Riv . Hmm Rivsky you better watch out I think there are plans to tollernap Zumi . Maybe you should leave him home for safe keeping :p .
  19. Hmm yep somebody has a DR and somebody still hasn't - caffy I should have sent Ness over for a sorting session . Ah well we have a few weeks still :p .
  20. Hmm think Kenzie would have other ideas (never mind Rivsky ). I think she would prefer Zum to her 5 small i-squeaks .
