  1. :D I didn't ask what time the release was. I meant count down till the workshop  . You and me both SecretKei - hmmm I might just be up at midnight - Crufts final night :D .
  2. Awesome Nik and Jedi - wahoo  :D :D :D . First of many .
  3. Goodonya Ptolomy . Hmmm I do laugh as I tried a ROF with Kenz in the training ring the other night and the DB went so far they were like would you like to throw it again - nah LONG retrieves are so much fun .
  4. Brag time from me - not a trial brag but Kenz is absolutely coming ahead in leaps and bounds with her agility training. To top if off last night I ran her around a masters jumping course at training. First time I broke it down into little pieces and rewarded it but she was handling it so nicely that the second time I rewarded only once or twice and she went around and kept all her bars up and was absolutely flying. Not bad for a midget jumping 500 who is not quite 2 yet . She ran the course like an absolute pro .
  5. Poor DB throwing must be a WA thing - although having said that I throw lovely straight DBs and the only time I have had to rethrow the bloody thing has been a trial in WA. Lets just say a light wooden DB and a bit of breeze at the canine and you end up with it nearly back at your feet . Ah well the judge must have felt sorry for us because after the rethrow she did end up with 30 for ROH. My ROF must have just landed outside the minimum and very crooked but Ness was a good kid and still managed a nice retrieve - bless her.
  6. An instructor thought he would solve my forging problem in heelwork - lets just say I knew no better at the time and I lived to regret that very day.
  7. There are 3 people on this planet that have been allowed to take Ness and demo/train something (short of a whole bunch of kids who had fun with her at a pet expo running around an agility course ). There are probably only a few more who I would trust to hand her over to train/handle. No prizes for guessing who they are . I handed her over to an instructor as a 12 month old and never again after it took years for me to undo the damage that was done inside 30 seconds .
  8. I have a sandisk micromate reader that I purchased with my memory card (4gig card) at the time I purchased my camera and touch wood not had a problem with either yet. My camera and disk reader/card is nearly 18 months old.
  9. So long as the bag containing Lexi is addressed to somewhere in SA she will end up at the right place .
  10. amypie you need to make some jumps like mine. I have 7 which fit inside the side of a standard pillow case size bag and very nicely into the back of the car. They aren't regulation height but with small dogs I don't think it would be to much an issue. 400 height still has some upright about the cup and even at 500 they are fine. So definitely for your two you would be ok. I do have standard size bars though which take up a bit more room but nice to be able to carry 7 jumps out from the car and set them up at the oval without struggling - find I am more inclined to set them up . ETA. I find the CR cups aren't deep enough so I have those for 200/300 height which I used when we do grid work but have PVC cut t's screwed in at 400 and 500.
  11. I bought my 2x2 weavers :D . I am not so keen on the PVC based versions as I think they have potential to interfere with way the dog weaves. I was looking at the ones from top buy and wondering if you could possibly modify there base plates so they are the correct distance and make them into a set of 2x2s. UD PVC box is easy - I made mine from 1.1m lengths of 25mm PVC (so less then regulation), then just use the 90 degree elbows for the corners . Link to photo for RS - PVC picture Normal jumps - the stick in the ground ones are cheaper to make think around $15 each. The PVC freestanding ones work out around $30 each from memory. I know somebody made a set of weavers by getting the thinnest schedule PVC and dropping them over the top of decking nails. That way you can measure out and hammer in the nails and then just place the PVC over the top. My first jumps I used for my UD gear were just wooden garden stakes with a little lump of wood to balance the jump bar on. Did the trick and wasn't anything overly fancy. I have even taken pots to the park and balanced a bar on top of those .
