Ok just tried turning side on and she still went down before I even taken a step . -
Dog Breaking From Sit Into A Drop
ness replied to 4 Paws's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
Another thought - could it also possibly be the result of inadvertent pressure from standing to close. She doesn't drop when I leave her on a recall and walk away that distance but we haven't done a lot of sit stay work so I was standing fairly close to her. If she breaks a recall she does it by coming to me not dropping. Wonder if she is dropping because she feels intimidated. -

Any advice for a dog who drops because they are anticipating a COP drop . I can take her to the park leave her in a sit while I throw a ball the entire length of the oval. Throw food past her, throw the ball over her head. Sprint off past her. But try for a sit stay and she goes into a drop. -
Yep I am pretty sure the hall has been booked/hired for the day. Not sure if there is urns there but we have access to the stove and stuff . ETA. I'll get final numbers from Steve closer to the date and then we can work it out.

Once there were two - ETA. 2 is really 6 but I couldn't be bothered photographing all of them - maybe when the 5 new baby squeaks arrive I'll photograph all 11 of them (if Kenz lets me without trying to pinch them).

Adelaide K9 Force Workshop - 8th May 2010
ness replied to ness's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
Hahaha will have to get a list of likely suspects from Steve closer to the date or we can just start a what are we going to eat at the workshop thread and people can chip in whatever they want. -
So Ptolomy did you do a toller kid count when you posted them off to make sure you didn't accidently post a Lexi to SA .

Bully. The other thing I was wondering about was tea/coffee/milk/cordial/biscuits - Morning/Afternoon tea type things. Not sure any thoughts on catering. Figure if we are going to be there all day we might as well have food. I suck at organising things like that though as I am not a big tea/coffee person.

I just thought I would put this in the thread as my ticket came through today and it contained a reminder to make sure you bring food and drink. I have already discussed this with a few people who I know are attending but I wondered if others were keen on the concept of a shared lunch such as we would at our regular monthly Eastwood DOL meets. Either we could all bring a plate or we could order some pizzas or something to be delivered to the venue or a combination of both. The venue has kitchen facilities. Not sure how this would go with the day's plan but thought I would post something in this thread to see if others were keen. It made sense to me and I am happy to coordinate it. At the moment most of the workshop attendees will be DOL members. Thoughts, ideas, suggestions welcome. -
Yep it looks to have worked = off to go watch it. ETA. Looks good - tricky novice jumping course with that tunnel call off!!!

Hahah what took Lex so long to get one out Ptolomy, Kenz and that box would have lasted less than 5 seconds . I had a chuckle at the fact that Blue was never suppose to be a popular colour with your kids and yet the first ball that was got out was a blue one  . Thanks for organising this .

Yep sure is - if you have a tug mad dog its the closest thing you can get to being allowed to take a reward into the ring with you to have waiting at the end of a course. Mostly for my older one its just all about show really. They look pretty and everybody else had them so I had to get one . She isn't so keen on tugging. My younger one likes tugging as a reward so will be great for her.
