  1. Yes I know its free shipping :D :D . I have been eyeing it off for hmmmm a while. So what colour did you get . I think the purple one might be pretty but remind me why I don't need one .
  2. amypie don't remind me I spotted those and keep umming as to whether I really need one .
  3. yep Tiggy I have a Dman tug lead too but my kollarsbykathryn leads are very very pretty :D :D .
  4. Jacqui in WA makes tug leads with furry fleece but they are just clip leads.
  5. Hence the reason I have 4 Tiggy ;) . I will say there was an offer of free tugs with every combo lead/collar purchased so that is what tipped my decision to purchase another 2 . So Tiggy do we have a short list yet - it took me hmmm a good fortnight to decide .
  6. Tiggy that only makes 4 for 2 dogs (only 1 dog who actually uses them ).
  7. Tiggy got my agility leads from: www.kollarsbykathryn.com I am (im)patiently waiting for another two to arrive in the post .
  8. Sounds like Ness could use some lessons from Ciderbear Ptolomy . ETA. Hmmm huski you didn't see Ness's heelwork last week and she is supposedly trained ;) ;) . I am use to seeing pushed out the way.
  9. huski - the noise reminds me of Ness's UD session last week. Well done though looked really good and your handling as improved a very long way - good work.
  10. I might trial in Queensland one day - Kenz would cope ok with the weather, Ness wouldn't .
  11. Thats a no brainer Ptolomy - WA of course I always seem to do better there and the company is always so welcoming and supportive . ETA. So is NSW a state you would or wouldn't want to trial in Ptolomy . Not sure I would trial obedience in NSW, not to keen on Queensland mainly because of the temperature.
  12. Yeah get yourself a set of articles - scent discrimination is fun and makes for a cute party trick. I had Ness do it at a pet expo demo only instead of articles I had cardboard cut out notes and then sent her to find the $50 note in a pile of $5 notes. Obviously the one I scented was the $50 one. The kids thought it was really pretty cool. Didn't need to train it either as she already understood the concept of finding the one that smelt most like me. We also had a modified directed retrieve using various stuffed farmyard animals .
  13. Well done everybody who I haven't already congratulated.
  14. Oh now maybe I could come just so I can watch RubyStar tackle this shade, might be worth an airfare .
  15. Hmm dunno RubyStar I could be if I left now . Sounds like Millie needs to go to the same training school Kenz does. The shall not demand attention by barking school .
  16. Sure RubyStar I'll come train with yah .
  17. I remember you telling me that story Ptolomy. But nope I will always remember it - second CDX pass and argh the van we had to hide behind during stays which had windows where you could see your dog but they couldn't see you and my bloody dog decides to start scratching during the 3 minute sit. I had to sit down at that point it was like some form of cruel and unusual punishment to watch that knowing there was nothing you could do.
  18. Do those grounds hold some fond memories for me ;) . Although I also DQd myself in Masters Jumping there because I didn't realize under the new rules you couldn't cross back over the startline - oops. Just as well she pulled a bar I would have been majorly annoyed if she had run clear.
  19. Riv did a group stay at the Steve workshop. I do agree though the boring ones are usually the ones that I have seen cause problems.
  20. I guess I am lazy and the only down stay practice Ness gets is once a week at club and thats only if I stay till the end . Betcha is gonna come back and bite me. Will have to make an effort to stay till the end of training this week. Good thing about having multiple dogs - is you have your own stay line up - isn't that right Ptolomy :D :D .
  21. I have thrown toys/food around over the head of the dog. Played the steady feet game for stands but you can do it with downs and sit stays too. Try and lure them out of position . Huski part of the reason I still train at a club and haven't totally given away club training is for group stays and ring practice.
  22. go Cider. Hmmm I should post something here. I took my UD gear to the park this afternoon and got a lovely seekback and two lovely directed jumps . 100% perfect so we went back to the car for a jackpot. Then we did a bit of heelwork - went ok but she got a timeout for missing a sit up in her COP. Oh boy did she think I was mean but guess what she came out and did it perfectly. Gloves she decided to have a blonde day. Wouldn't wait so I think I did more tying her back up again then we did actual retrieves but still by the end she kept her brain together enough to take direction to the glove I wanted her to get and not just head off before I gave her the direction. Kenz - well she just got to supervise :D .
