Sounds like what I suggested to her the other day SnT .
-
Bully you can borrow Kenz's for the time being - she won't need it for a little while yet .
-
Some will - very possible its a BYB bred one. Although I could be wrong.
-
Hmmm wasn't sure there are any registered breeders near Port Augusta .

Any idea from where KelpieHoundMum??? I know it was common practice to sell BC pups without papers but thought it had changed. Back when we bought Ness nearly 10 years ago only there was a practice that only BCs who were going to be shown were registered or if you knew to ask I guess. The running unleash and uncollared wouldn't bother me. Kenz at that age hardly ever had a lead and collar on.

You can do it Zug Zug .

about having to get OH to hold Jedi while you played with Soaks. Kenz can be funny when I set crates up at trials half the time she tries to share with Ness. Ness isn't overly amused by that :D .
-
:D TerraNik. I played a round of that with Kenz at the last obedience trial while we were hanging around. She thought it was the best thing since sliced bread. Ness seems to have a high level reinforcement for crates that aren't hers . Although people did think she was rather cute and the workshop because she was happy to chill in it with the door open and not go anywhere (well until she thought she could weasel food out of unsuspecting people).

Obedience Clubs In South Adelaide
ness replied to Esky the husky's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
Yep Aldinga do do Dances with Dogs . -
Poor CK - think you should send him to me AD - he is clearly not loved at your place and Kenz would think all her christmas's had come at once .
-
Tiggy but big sister is close to reaching retirement and I really don't need 2 more leads.
-
Tiggy I am still trying to work out when I'll actually use one and if I can get away with one and not buying 2 .
-
sounds good. Must be making huge progress since the workshop . And hey not just Kynan dog but Kynan person for riding 12km. Not sure I could manage that .

One thing Sue H did say to me was don't try and train the dogwalk and the see-saw in the one session until the dogs have it clear in their minds which is which and you have attached appropriate cues to both. Kenz's dogwalk is a bit cautious so I have backed off doing the see-saw and just focusing on the dogwalk and trying to get her driving into position.

Go Kynan.

goodo should be fine for the midget child - now wonder if I can resist another 24 hours.

Ok since I am procrastinating (read sick of proofing 10,000 words of thesis chapter) - thought I'd pose a question for everybody - for those training in multiple disciplines how often would you spend training a week and do you give your dogs time off during the week. So would you train something 7 days a week/5 days a week and give them the weekend off and do other things, 4 nights a week and then give them a day off during the week. How many nights would you attend a club to do some form of training (even if its going and using the club just for distractions). I take mine out to club 3 nights a week and we try and do a session in the morning and evening most days. Weekends we mostly trial and if there are no trials they usually get the weekend off from any sort of training.

Yep no meltdowns RubyStar - think you definitely need slapping. Hell I think I am getting use to meltdowns and crisis avoidance. Try living with Kenz .
-
Tiggy I am still resisting JUST . ETA. Amypie since you already have one of the slip leads (least I think you said you did) can you confirm how thick they are? Fine for your littlies??
-
Kenzie learned a see-saw before she learned the dogwalk and I let her bounce all over the see-saw and she was just rewarded for jumping all over it. Didn't care if she came off just got a click and reward for putting her paws on it .
-
Like you can talk Seita - I think I have just been talked into a few more shopping purchases in the way of tug toys .
-
I am still telling myself I don't need one.
-
No your not melting your just going to take it all out for a little test run . No pressure . All the videos have looked great and she was rock solid on the stay we did the other weekend . Don't stress. If anybody should be stressing its me - Ness is still dropping her bundle with articles - no sooner then its fixed then it all goes pearshaped again. Ah well will just see how far she gets . Just go out and enjoy yourself .
-
valleyCBR I had to chuckle at your comment about not wanting to hang out in the photo thread because of madly wishing to make a purchase - hmmm not sure the training thread is honestly that much better although at least the purchases aren't quite of the same dollar value .

You and I both amypie I love the free shipping section. So should I get one . Might be good to use in the obedience ring maybe.
