  1. Congrats Xena98 and Gabby on your brilliant runs over the weekend - she is just an awesome dog to watch in the ring. As for Kenz thanks she is certainly doing very well with what limited agility training she has had in the past couple of months. She was starting to drive her lines nicely and not checking in with me all the time. As I said not bad for a little midget 400 dog . And thankfully for me she decided she could keep her feet up in the finals - hmmm note to self will warm her up on 500 jumps before we go into the ring in future :D .
  2. But I was having startline problems all week Ptolomy - problems sorted when you don't acknowledge the judge with a "yes" or stick up your arm without giving the release cue. Think we have a bit more proofing to do but thats fine its always a work in progress and the one she gave me in the finals was just lovely.
  3. Kenz trains at 500 but now with Ness retired she will probably get more training at 400 .
  4. ValleyCBR she is a 400 pocket rocket like her half sister Spryte. She has been measured at 452mm (so only just a 400 dog) and is 13 kg. Only a little BC. I will laugh in that she had been running 400 all weekend and I went to collect my number for the finals and she had actually been put in the 500 height class .
  5. LOL totally Tiggy - WA bred dogs rule .
  6. Ptolomy just hope the video worked and I can show you that she can do a lead out .
  7. Just home from the rest of the States and gotta say I am so proud of my little baby Winpara Pocket Rocket. Kenz managed to run the best novice jumping run she was capable of and walked away with second place in the novice jumping final. It was a seriously nice run with no mistakes on either part - Way to Go Kenzie .
  8. yep by then I was like stuff it I hate doing lead outs with tyres despite the fact I know she can nail them at training most of the time, but not 100% of the time. I think I nearly had a heart attack that she was still on a quallie in that PM JDO run by the time we got to the weaving. I thought she possibly wouldn't do the distance or she would mess something up but I also told myself I wasn't going to baby sit her through anything today. I also walked that course thinking I'd try a lead out and was prepared to blow it if she broke on me .
  9. Congrats everybody else on their weekend results - Any way as promised here is my video from Kenz's runs from today - I am so proud of my little WA bred Winpara pocket rocket . I have Ness's run on video as well but I have something special planned for that .
  10. Yep there will be video I think. I haven't checked if they all videoed I know one didn't work but hopefully the others are all on the camera.
  11. Kenz nearly managed a second novice quallie in the afternoon and ran the most perfect run only to run past the spread at the end. Ah well I was still floating on cloud nine from Ness's ADO title - its one I had very much written off and she did well. Both kids enjoyed there cheeseburgers for tea .
  12. Just walked in the door - very long day but Ness finally managed to get leg 5 to finish off that remaining pass for her ADO title . I nearly thought we were going to miss out again as we have had so many 1 fault runs but she came through for me this afternoon. And with that final pass I am going to anounce her semi-retirement from competition agility Ness mate you have done me so very proud and I honestly thought we might not get there but we did. Not to be outdone Kenz managed her very first quallie in Novice Jumping this morning with a second place. She had some lovely runs today and I am so pleased with her. She is a little star in the making and everything I had hoped she would be - and such a fun little dog to take in the ring.
  13. Is resisting the temptation to go look neh neh neh RS and Amypie - I got better self control the either of you :D . ETA. And as for you Tassie - shame on you letting them suck you into buying more ;)
  14. I mix mine in with a spoon of yoghurt or an egg or tuna or mince depending on what they are eating. So I guess I'd be putting yoghurt or something in with the eagle pack and feeding it that way.
  15. I haven't forgotton about the photo just been a tad busy sorry debazzledx2 its coming.....
  16. Hmmm MRB it wasn't to slippery but I only ran Kenz and we mainly practiced startline waiting since apparently she decided on the weekend it was an optional thing . Tonight wasn't cold at all.
  17. Wasn't cold or wet on Wednesday night MRB - we trained and had a great time .
  18. RubyStar you should of seen the size of the crater that 'angel face' dug when I was staying with Ptolomy :p . Least I am pretty sure it was hers.
  19. Ptolomy - sounds like Beans would fit in nicely with me. I had Kenz off the other night at a million miles an hour after a beloved duckie and then I had Ness this morning off at a million miles an hour after the gardner who drove in on a quad bike thingy . So should I let the postie know I am expecting a red dog in the mail .
  20. Sure bedazzledx2 I'll organise one tomorrow for you and post it .
  21. Tiggy the first link is the mock trial from the other weekend after we had 3 trials of presenting issues .
  22. Why is it that they can do absolutely perfect rounds at training and can't reproduce it at a trial . Ness did yet another picture perfect UD round at training tonight - didn't put a paw out of place and we get to a trial and it all still goes so badly pearshaped. She did not miss a trick tonight and it was all just lovely. Yet in a trial we can't even get our seekback working these days (well presenting the bloody article ).
  23. Ness usually finds the seekback quickly and often tracks it back from me. She usually takes a neat track and only very seldom has to work the entire ring in order to find it. Here are a couple of hers on video: http://www.youtube.com/user/ness#p/u/5/bTdV16HrnCU http://www.youtube.com/user/ness#p/u/65/3W4rHcpqCCQ <this one she didn't go on the first signal but you can see the tracking bit she goes straight back along the track>
  24. I was told with both gloves and articles to let the dog actually present the article and you take the article or glove off the dog even if it was the wrong one. Otherwise you start to find the dog second guessing or dropping the item on the way back on the retrieve and you lose your presents.
