Saturday week - eeeeeeeeekk. Last time Ness did Open was this time last year at the Royal and it was a little bit of a diasaster by her standards.

TerraNik - States are fun. Ness's first CDX trial was at the Perth States and she came away with her first quallie . Whats scary is being selected for the interclub team in a class you haven't trialled in or trained for a good 12 months and only being told with just over a week before the trial and then going out to run a training session and discovering that your supposedly well trained dog decided there was better things in life then retrieving a DB . Although good thing about the supposedly well trained dog is that you take her out again the following night for another refresher session and she has rediscovered that she can actually fetch the DB after all. Whether she can still complete it Saturday week is anybody's guess LOL.

I think money or free entry towards the next trial is a good idea as far as prizes go. Money can always go towards more entries or to pay for title certificates or something. I do like Vickie's idea of credits with the canine association to go towards titles or membership fees or things like that though as well .

You really should stop setting fire to things Ptolomy .

Oh but DWD is fun RubyStar - really it is . I wish we had it here I'd love to finish off my two and their half titles .

yep I think Scoota definitely needs a DWDF.S title - hmmm now if I was closer I'd steal him just so I could put one on him . And a HTM.S - come on Ptolomy if I can do it you can make up something :D ;) .

No didn't end up entering Open RubyStar - didn't know a certain two WA people were coming across did I . However will be going down to cheer them both on :D. Ness is getting her first run in Open in well over 12 months next Saturday. Went training last night and they asked if I could put her in the interclub challenge for Open. Should be interesting might have to remind her what a retrieve on the flat and a retrieve over the jump are between now and then.

you don't teach a DB retrieve you get DB hike it to the far end of the oval send dog - dog races out gets it comes back and presents and waits to repeat the game - ooops bloody BCs .

RubyStar about the SFE. I haven't even attempted one with Kenz yet . But we are now have some reasonable turns happening rather than via goodness knows where. I think she wants to do her turns via WA or the moon or somewhere .

I am fast finding that my dog can actually turn properly if I walk a straight line and only focus ahead and concentrate on walking a straight line . Hmmm guess what I am practising at the moment.

;) RubyStar - sounds like its time to hit some tennis courts. I am hoping my ability to walk in a straight line has improved enough to pass muster with the gurus . Guess what I'll be spending the next week doing ;) .

Yep she is doing me well on limited training - ok no training at the moment. Can't wait to see what happens when I get back to training her .
