  1. I was going to say the judges here aren't so keen on them either and most seem to substitute another flexi tunnel if they want another tunnel .
  2. Yep that is how I taught it to. Dog run through drum without chute attached. Make sure the chute is totally straight so the dog doesn't get caught up. The other thing we have at club is a smaller chute part so the dog doesn't have to run through a full length chute.
  3. - I never finished off one of my sentences. I was going to say SG had dogs working with a food pouch on her one jump video. But yep experiment and see what works best and jealous you get a red kid to play with - if only I was closer - dammit.
  4. or NOT - bring on agility dog 3 - I might get it right third time lucky .
  5. Nawwwww RallyValley - you can always throw food I am sure the little red head will be able to chase it . Ness was trained exclusively using food as a reward for agility and I guess I just used it the same way as I would a toy. You can use a bait plate instead of a tug for a target or just teach the dog to move away to a target and reward. What about using a food pouch that you can throw if you need. I saw that being used effectively on dogs who were food driven. What about using an i-squeak in place of a tug.
  6. My problem isn't getting the sit to the stand but getting the drop to the stand. I can get it with both a verbal and a signal but try and fade out either and its back to the drawing board. Occasional lightbulb moments but nothing concrete. Funny thing is a fortnight of nothing and I solved my scooting forward on the sit that I use to get out of a drop.
  7. I broke a dog so I haven't trained since the 15th of December. Least she is looking a little less unbroken today . Caffy did a nice video of teaching Snazzy a kickback stand and posted it to youtube.
  8. Piper so NYE party at your place make it worth the trip .
  9. I should add my experience with Virgin blue has been nothing but positive - I had flight delays out of Adelaide and as we were flying onto Perth I was concerned about the length of time she would be crated. The Adelaide virgin people were fantastic - let me get her out of her crate walk her through the terminal building and hang around outside where there was some grass until 15 minutes before the flight was called. I had a flight delayed out of Perth after she had already been loaded onto the plane but the grounds crew made sure they kept an eye on her and let me know everything was ok. Oh and they also let me know she had been boarded even though I watched the crate be loaded before I boarded the plane .
  10. I have flown both my girls interstate with Virgin (Adelaide --> Perth --> Adelaide) and (Adelaide --> Sydney --> Adelaide). Not had any issue. And my youngster came Perth --> Adelaide with Qantas. I tend to fly Virgin because the airfares are a little cheaper then Qantas (on the human side). I just ring the guest service centre when I book my flight to confirm there is space for the dog on the same flight. The dog is then added to your ticket but you pay for there flight when you drop them at freight. I know Qantas permit more dogs on a flight then Virgin.

  14. Nope if you have listed them as unlisted the only way your subscribers can watch the video is if you send them the link Tiggy.
  15. You can upload videos to youtube and change the privacy listing when you upload. There are three options - public, unlisted or private. If you wish to only allow people who you have given the link to to be able to view it then you select the unlisted setting. You can then include that link in any email and the recipient will be able to view the video. I am not sure how the private setting works - I think from experiment only you are able to view it or certain subscribers but I just use the unlisted option as it seems to be easier then the private setting.
  16. yeah well I am procrastinating and the damaged dog isn't allowed a walk till tomorrow so have all this spare time. Hmmm could be practising for my job interview tomorrow but meh have all night to do that .
  17. Secret RallyValley . Hmmm ask Ptolomy - think the answer is god knows . When I stop breaking the dog . And yep I have a filter that alerts me whenever I am mentioned LOL.

  20. When my older girl who is now 10 was desexed 9.5 years ago she was tattooed but only a microchip tattoo and not a desexing tattoo. When my youngster was done I requested that she wasn't tattooed.
  21. But my retriever is a BC not a "retriever" and she makes short work of her tug toys.
  22. Really?? My obsessive retriever hardly makes a dent in one. The chuckit balls might also be wortha shot I guess.
