God least your parents are obliging RS. I just rang mine to ask if they could bring my hard crate home and they were like crating her for that length of time is cruel and its not going to help . I just want to crate her so I can walk Ness and go out without stressing .

Competition Spacing for ANKC is 600mm. Pretty sure the top buys poles weren't regulation spacing (but thats off the top of my head).
-
Hugs RS - come on if I can do it so can you. Stay strong. I so know how your feeling though - today has been a VERY long and one huge emotional roller-coaster. Fingers crossed you can get some answers.

Kenz was knocked out today and they xrayed elbows, shoulders and toes .
-
Kenz update: Hmmm well the "news" is that they are still none the wiser. In true fashion she was not apparently lame for the entire day she spent there. A few things found on the xrays but nothing that should be clinically significant. They couldn't localise the pain because her responses were inconsistent. So given the fact we are still none the wiser the treatment plan is 3 weeks strict crate rest and course of cartrophen and then progressive return to unrestricted activity. Sounds like the merry-go-round is set to continue for a while.

Kenz update: Well I can go and get her at 5pm but they couldn't tell me anymore then that - more hours to kill .
-
I am not honestly sure what "good news" is. I guess its anything that doesn't involve costly surgery at the moment.
-
Just back from taking Ness for a walk - the house is so quiet with Kenz - missing my little girl so much .
-
Just back from dropping my baby midget dog at the specialist centre - fingers crossed its all as they expect and they don't find anything else thats the cause. Going to be a very long day.
-
Kenz is being a little to well behaved with her lack of exercise - other than trying to do zoomies first thing in the morning. Worried she won't switch back up a gear when she is fine to train again .
-
Are you Ptolomy :rofl:. You can't ask a question and not answer. Maybe I should bring the old girl out of retirement and enter another UD trial for something to do.
-
Next year might seem a world away but at least it beats the alternative which at the moment is not worth thinking about because I just don't want to go there .

Have any of the members here taught reliable running contacts (as distinct from the run and hope to hell the dog hits the colour). I am being optimistic that Kenz will some day return to agility but with a front shoulder ligament injury at present I am a little worried about her old 2o2o behavior and thinking this may need some modification should I manage to get her to the point of trialling again. The physio is optimistic that she could be back by next year - guess we will see but just figured I would ask.
-
Ptolomy and we can't have that happening can we.
-
Mine have the regular Snooza cuddler x 2. They are very popular .
-
Yep this was what the chiro vet originally found, and the physio also found with Kenz. She has trigger points in the tricep (and still does). Her bicep stress test was apparently all ok just before Easter, as was her shoulder stability test when the physio looked at her yet the ortho specialist still suspects biceps tendonitis. Kenz is worst when she first wakes up and does warm out of it (or at least use to until this last run over Easter).
-
RS, Kenz's likely diagnosis is biceps tendonitis although possibly also coupled with ligament damage to her shoulder. So if its information on that you want I have fast become an expert . Kenz's did settle down initially with acupuncture and then physio. We have had a good day today - Kenz has been less sore then normal, had a nice 45 min out in the sun eating a beef ear and snoozing and was wanting to train on her 15 min walk this arvo .
-
Nope Kenz's was $82+ postage but it really did help. They also get rave results from performance people in the US.I know how much worse she was the few naps she had where I didn't have her wearing it.
-
Oh join the club - talk about timing RS - same with Kenz she was just starting to get it all together nicely and then bam another 12 months out . Have you see these RS - http://www.backontra...rug-mesh-small/ I ordered one for Kenz when she injured her shoulder and have had it a couple of months now. She wears it overnight and during the day at the moment and it does seem to help a little.
-
Yep I was going to make a comment about ligaments being looser post season. I had the same issue with my girl post first season and apparently not uncommon for them to pull up lame easier.
-
Poor Zeus - hope he is feeling better and bugger about Ruby still not being fine RS . Hope she gets over it shortly. Same with yours LR. .
-
I will express post Ness's sit stay over for Soggy Ptolomy.
-
One dog beats having no dogs to train Seita .
-
My only claim to fame today is I refound Kenz's sit from a drop but still managed to keep my stand from a drop - score.

There is a discussion here on treatment for Demodex - http://www.dolforums.com.au/topic/220310-unsure-what-is-wrong-with-my-girl/ I use Advocate to treat my now 10.5 year old BC girl when she gets an occasional outbreak after she had it as a pup. Apparently Revolution also works if you read the thread.
