  1. When is it best to take her for her first walk? We are now thinking about the name Remi for her! How is the best way to stop her from nipping when she does? I was playng with a puppy the other day and he was very nippy and he liked to hold right in and with those puppy teeth and it kills! Also how is the best way to take her in the car? She would fit in Leos cat carrier ( he is a very larrge cat) but i have also heard that holding her on your lap is a good option too. Sorry for all the questions!
  2. Thats what I was thinking, and she said that could be the cause but she is double checking I hope it was just stress!
  3. He is soooooooooooo cute! And so small
  4. She will be going back to the vet to check it out and I hope it was just anxiety. She does live 2 hours away from her vets and with 4 orr 5 puppies in the car it would of been a bit of a handful! she didn't really give me much else apart from that it could've just been stress or anxiety but I don't know why it would be a problem then?
  5. Thanks for all of your advice! Last night when we contacted our breeder she said one of the female puppies has a slightly raised heartbeat. She said it should pass by the time she is 12 weeks old. Do you know what this means? And if it is a long term thing what does it mean for her future?
  6. We have done a bit of puppy training, but not much and she will go to puppy school once she is old enoguh to socialise and do some more training.
  7. Did you introudce them slowly? Never ever leave them alone together if your dog is doing this!! Teach the dog that ghe cat is higher in the pack than the cat. Let the cat eat first, give the cat high scratching posts/ trees so it is physically higher than the dog etc. Never let the cat and the dog come face to face unless the dog has a lead and until there is no growling, snapping or whatever signs your dog does. Then you can let them meet off the lead, but with a baby gate or something on one of the doors which the cat can bolt through if it feels threatened. When you are doing this, do not leave the room! You need to be there, on call if he grabs the cat. Once he has settled and and he doesnt lunge or try to go for the cat you can let them both have the whole house but with a room or a hallway babygated off so the cat can run away with your supervision. Only ever leave them alone together when youare sure that they are completely fine together, because this is life threatening to your cat! Ps. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong somewhere!
  8. not wanting to get too OT, but yes, you most certainly want a name that doesn't embarass you.................friends named their staffy...........Woof, cool name until Woof got out one day and the two owners are running up and down the street calling out........"Woof, Woof, Woof"................................... Omg that would of been absolutely hilarious
