Same with us, except Daisy is in her kennel:)

Just the normal, dry food softened with water in the morning, a dish that our breeder gave to us(chicken, carrots, pasta, celery all mashed up)and puppy milk!

Daisy can't poo. She has been trying for about 10 minutes and is whining when she does it. The poo she has done does not appear to have blood in it I am really worried about her! I called the out of hours vet and they told me to clean it and if its still a problem to take her to the vets but I want to see if there is anything I can do first!

Thanks for all the advise everyone, I thought that might be the answer! Looks like we will have to tough it out.... She is also starting puppy school next aturday which will be fun!

Daisy, our 9 week old puppy has always been a quiet dog, but recently she has started barking at everything! She doesn't respond to "NO!" and only occasionally responds to a growl, no matter how much we tell her and try to train her! She now barks at almost EVERYTHING, Us and the cat! Which totally freaks him out and puts us a step back in our introduction process! What is the best way to firstly, teach her NO! and then to stop her from barking when she is inside?

For the outside sleeping thing- if she isn't giving you any trouble and sleeping through the night, why do you need to put her outside? Our puppy does sleep outside though,and she slept out there from day 1. I think your puppy will be pretty stressed from the warm inside to outside, but you can experiment

Some dont! Our friends kelpie's ears only come up when hes listening to something- otherwise they're usually down

I relise I have started a debate Daisy now sleeps outside in her kennel and is inside all the rest of the time except when we are out. Thats how she was raised at her breeders- so thats how she is raised here :)

Her recall is so good for a puppy, and as to what people say about goldens and treats........... IT WORKS! :D Today I almost taught her to sit! With the help of some tasty treats- of course She usually is a terror to even try to train, as she sees the treats and refuses to actually do anything for them and jumps and nips! But I caught her in a relaxed mood and she was being amazing! Good girl Daisy!

She has her collar on as much as possible, she just tries to chew the lead!!!! Oh well, puppy school next week then Obedience after that- here we come! :D

I took little Daisy out on her lead in the front yard and she went crazy. She was NOT happy!!!!!! She was bouncing and bounding around trying to get her collar off! Is there any way of teaching her to calm down and that walks are good before we take her for her first proper walk? Or is it down to her first walk to teach her the good and the bad?

I got this tip from a member on here, I'm not sure if it works with older puppies but it certainly works with daisy:) When she bites say a strong, high pitched 'ow!' or yelp. They usually stop and move onto something else!

Our newest member of the family Daisy!!!!!!!! She was great in the car, but was carsick twice. We hopped out for a toilet break twice and she was very happy sniffing around in the bushes! When she got home she had a big long play and lots of people coming to meet her and she was fine with all of it! As soon as we had dinner she got into her kennel and slept! :D She then slept ALL THROUGH THE NIGHT!!! There wasn't even a whimper out of her! This morning she was so quiet I thought she had found a way to dig herself out! But she was quietly chewing on her toys in her kennel!!!!!! She was very excited to see me and her food though! And now she is outside playing!!!!

She is definitely going to puppy pre school!!!! BUt if they did meet, they wouldnt catch anything off each other?

Now I am completely love struck as our friend has a new Labrador puppy that they bought home today!!!! She is sooo gorgeous! Now I have a new question Can our puppy and their puppy (Molly) meet each other? Molly is from a very reputable breeder and has had all the same vaccinations as our puppy has had, as she is only 2 days older than ours. I figured they could as they know each other and we know their vaccination status, but I'd like you guys' opinions first!

I am so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! our friends have a Lab puppy coming home today, and our puppy is coming home tomorrow, is it safe to let them meet or is it because neither of them have had all of their vaccinations they might catch things off each other? Oh wow now I have to go puppy proofing :D :D :D :D And thanks so much for answering all my questions (which I am sure can be the easiest questions in thee world)and for giving me so much advice!

The only problem though is that we have to drive 4 hours to get there! Should we stop off to let her go or is it best to do what newgoldie did so we dont have to get out?

We are planning on leaving our puppy outside during the day while Im at school, and bringing her in as soon as we get home and having a good play and a snuggle watching tv until her bedtime (10:30) and on the weekend she will be in all day. ( She will NOT be an all outdoor dog! Just outside while we arent home) I was wondering if we could let her sleep outside at night too? And if we were going to, what age can she be outside all night? If she was going to sleep outside she would have a nice warm kennel with lots of blankets. Most dogs we have had have slept inside, except I dont want our cat (Leo) to feel like his personal space has been invaded as where she would sleep is right next to his scratching post. We feel that it is the best way to go without crating as mum isnt keen on the idea. But of course if crating is e only way we will do it, i will have to speak to her breeder on her view!
