I give Cranberry tablets and have had no further problems -
Hi Erny, The vet is Mark Hocking at Gladesville Vet Hospital, in Sydney...so this may not be much help to you

What does the trigger point therapy involve? The vet feels over all her mucsles etc and is able to feel the knots. He then uses a human TENS machine to "dissolve" the knots and all is good The trigger points can very painful and they sometimes have to put them under to work on them My girl has HD and because she waddles she always gets them in her front legs

When my girl gets trigger points, I find that anti inflammatories have no effect, as it is not a joint issue. I take her to a vet who does the trigger point therapy and acupuncture, or she sees a physio who is brilliant

My girl developed a sensitivity to chicken when she was about 2. Really bad yellow squirts about 2am. Also happened with turkey I used Protexin to get her gut back to normal

Are There More Fleas Around Than Normal In Sydney?
CavsRcute replied to bark's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I find it only lasts 2 weeks for fleas and ticks. I'm on the North Shore too -
My Cavalier LOVES hers. I put it in a pillowcase and she sleeps on it all day and night. A friend made mine

Thanks. I do have a coat king but thought i'd use the scissors on her feathers and che which are very thick and long. It is tick season here and i'm trying to make it easier, and better, for me to check her
-
Just wondering what size, and brand, scissors I would need for a Cavalier with a very thick coat. Got a bit confused when looking on the net TIA

Hi PF, what sort of dosoage do yoy use for the rosehip tablets? Do you use the human variety? TIA -
Try Dr Robert McDowell. I think the website is herbal treatments.com.au. You can also speak with him and he'll go through everything wth you. Another one is All Natural Vet at Russell Lea.they also do phone consultations

Have you taken it to the Insurance Ombudsman? I had a problem and they said they would fight it for me.

You must live near me, Kavik . We have a "lady" exactly like that who we see on our walks and down at the park. He is always off leash. My Cavalier is only frightened by GR's( she was rolled by one when she was a puppy) She's not aggressive but gets very submissive when she sees the giant. The GR isn't nasty but doesn't know his own strength and I have seen many tussles down on the oval with other dogs. The owner just doesn't get it...keep your dog until control. It's always every other dog who is the problem but until her dog comes into the picture, all the others are playing happily She also believes that all the other dogs are aggressive

We have one that comes to the local park who we call Leaner....she thins she is a lap dog :D She has the most beautiful nature and is very gentle with my cavalier.
-
That is good! I thought i had told you about Michael. That's where I take Lani. He also owns a Cavalier
-
Poor Gertie Couldn' be worse timing for you. I have found a good chiropractic vet at West Ryde, if you ever need one. Get well licks from Lovely Lani

If nothing shows up on the x rays, I would consider either a chiro or trigger point therapist. It may be soft tissue damage or some sort of entrapment
