  1. Is it a breed that a first time dog owner could easily cope with? Labrador Retrievers are quite easy to train. They're great dogs to have if it would be your first time owning a dog. If you've ever seen the movie Marley and Me or Marley and Me: The Puppy Years, you'll also see how a Labrador Retriever can be a handful. But these dogs aren't harmful, so it's fine.
  2. I had a German Shepherd once. I noticed that she looked kind of different from her other fellow German Shepherd dogs. I know that they mostly look a like, but she looks different not in a bad way. I don't know why because her siblings all look alike. Also, I did notice that she was having blue skin. Is that even normal? Oh, and, she already died. It's been almost a year now.
  3. Your dog humping his bed is kind of strange, I've never heard quite anything like it. And maybe yes, I think you should stop him from doing that. If you encourage that behavior, there would be a tendency that he would be switching that humping to something else. Besides, it's really disturbing. If you don't want him to do something you don't like, stop the action immediately.
  4. Based on the problems that you have enumerated, maybe you should bring your dog to the vet as soon as possible. A dog that's not eating could end up getting severely malnourished, considering the fact that he's already underweight. Have you tried feeding him some of his favorite foods? Maybe that will help him get some food into his system.
  5. Your Benny's behavior reminds me of my dog's behavior when she was younger. She would immediately bark at guests to the point that these guests wouldn't want to get inside our house. One way to discourage barking is to quickly turn your back at him and standing still. But it sounds like your dog goes after the guests if they move. What exactly does he do to them after that?
  6. Dogs deserve to be given therapy too. I've seen some dog services offered that offer to pamper your dog like give them massages and stuff like that. It's actually great, but pricey. However, if you feel like your dog deserves it, then go ahead. It's really not a bad thing. Ridiculous, maybe. :D
  7. As a puppy my dog would always dance to the song Starships. It's weird and funny at the same time. Got him on video once and it keeps me laughing.
  8. Peggy = Miss Peggy Coco = Cokie, King, Cokes Jazz = Jazzy, Jazzy Fizzo Chicklets = Chick, Cheeky Peewee = Peew, Wee,P
  9. Hey, I have to say you have a very cute puppy, he's so adorable. Anyway, he's still a puppy which is why he's biting anything he sees. That's just how puppies tend to explore the world. Notice how they would use their mouths to play with their litter mates too? Mouthing is completely natural to puppies. But you should really consider letting him play with some other dogs in a litter as this is a form of socialization. Putting him inside a litterbox will help him know what's an acceptable behavior from what's not as his litter mates will surely punish him if he does something wrong by not playing with him anymore. To work on the mouthing problems, you might want to give your puppy something to chew on, something that you wouldn't mind him biting into rather than household items or furniture inside the house. You can also start training him now as most breeders would be training puppies around 4-6 weeks old. Marie
