You still need to identify exactly who you are, keep a separate bank account and follow other rules. You can't just fund raise under a fake name. Yup no problems there we have a seperate account for the dogs.

In Victoria you only need a license if you take in more than 10,000 dollars which we are not. It doesn't count if people want to donate toys etc we do have a dog in our care we pay food vet toys etc

See this person was under the impression that lucky was given to another rescue and we were pretending to have lucky that is not the case but no one here would correct it so if there is something that isnt happening that people are saying is happening I will correct it. Perhaps the dog that was going to go to the carer that now has 'your' dog is dead, as the carer is no longer available to take it Nope thats not what happened please stop trying to start rumors that are not true. I am not here to argue I am here to only see that lies are not being spread and this did not happen. Yes, the attack is concerning to everyone. I would however like to point out that the "recent" attack happened in October. Ok I got this now. So an attack that happened 2 months ago is ok because the rescue felt bad and attack doesnt look bad on the breed or rescue dogs got it. For the record before you all jump to conclusions I think the rescue made a mistake and things happen I believe the rescuer that said the dogs didnt show any signs. Like I said things happen. Now a rescue transferring a dog to another rescue is bad for the breed and rescues A rescue who puts a dog into another foster home is bad for the breed and rescue. This is how you guys are coming across and I fail to see how you guys see things this way. Now to set things straight. Lucky in under our care and in a foster home. Ina was transferred to another rescue that I know will do right by her. Never were the dogs at risk of being put down or dumped into a shelter I wont argue with you guys I will simply point out the untruths and when the thread dies I will not be returning to DOL but I wont let you guys make up stories I cant stop you from making up lies on your facbook groups but here I can at least set the record straight.

I would think you guys would be more concerned about the recent attack and killing that happened to 1 rescue surprised you guys aren't lynching them ba things can happen doesn't mean the people they happen to are bad people

Well like I said it was something that happened the dogs are safe and lucky is still with us and Ina went to a great place that says she is doing well. It won't have an effect as it didn't concern anyone here really it's not like I played dogs in bad homes and something happened in public. It simply one rescue taking a dog from another which happens a lot and one dog going into a different foster home. So what effect will it have? No dogs are dying because the rescue took her, no dogs have a longer wait

So any group that uses foster homes is bad and irresponsible if they dont have them live in kennels? How did I pass judgement? I said nothing about them needing kennels. You were the one who said you were going to keep the dogs inside your home and this person said that is what they do as well. I do not see how I have stated an untruth or passed judgement on any of these things? I merely said that it appeared to me that the two of you were "networking" and I believed the dog may have gone there. If she didn't, then surely you could have just corrected me? Sorry seemed you thought something was wrong with not having kennels. We did have another rescue step up to take Ina guess its good we didnt send Lucky to GSN or maybe they would be awful for "networking" with us. I guess the recent accident with FOTH makes them horrible too. I swear there is no pleasing some people. Mistakes happen and its how you learn and grow is what matters. No dogs were harmed, no dogs were put down, no dogs got dumped at a shelter so like I said shit happens and we just have to move on

Suprise suprise! What happened to the trainer you were working with? If you are not fostering or rescuing what exactly are you doing? adopting? or are pound rounds happy to send dogs to someone who clearly have no idea and is not able to manage the dogs? Where is Lucky now? Animal Aid? AWL? dumped upon another rescue? Rehomed within days? or in a kill shelter? Lucky is with us in a foster home 5 minutes from us. She was never in danger of going to a shelter we had no plans of dumping her. Uh this isnt some other person its a rescue that has been doing it awhile and does a very good job. Why you guys feel the need to bash any rescue that isnt GAP or GSN is beyond me. I suppose if you bash up the smaller guys they may give up and then all the greyhounds can be GAPs and GSN. Dont take out your anger on me on other groups. As a matter of fact why are we even still discussing this? I suppose just leaving the forum all together is the best for me.

We just arnt doing any of it until after the new year. Greylvr if you are affiliated with pound rounds in any way shape or form you will live to regret it. There is not a more incompetant buch of fools in this country. I speak from experience. Sigh well like I said they sent us dogs tried to PM you but you cant receive them anyway no we took a few dogs that they sent down.

PR sent us the dogs one from them and one from a guy, they are not involved so much as they sent down the dogs. They had nothing to do with anything else as far as the dogs go and what happened at my house. We were not fostering for them, or anything like that so thats all I am saying regarding PR because this should not fall on their heads and they shouldnt be blamed for any of it

Hey it was a learning experience and one I wont make again. I never thought in my mind that the neighbors would kick up a stink. Although I am a live and let live type person but hey they started it so they will be getting nice visits from the council because I am tired of listening to their dog bark all day. So they either shut their dog up or they deal with the rangers. How they can complain about dogs that never barked, we not outside unless supervised and only to play and potty is beyond me but we will see how they like the rangers knocking on their door because their dog is a small yappy dog that barks all day Seriously you have been given so much great advice from people who are not only very experienced rescuers also people who are passionate and work incredibly hard for this breed. I don't want to offend you though how you have responded and acted so far screams 'train wreck' for me. I have rescued and rehomed Grey's and followed other peoples invaluable advice and guidence. Greyhounds have many stigmas attached, enormous work has been done to break down those stigmas by ensuring responsible, ethical rehomes. It is vital for this beautiful breed. I think you are making a serious mistake with your neighbour by fighting fire with fire and calling rangers regardless if you are moving or not. Believe me I know and I did not do one thing to aggrivate my neighbours - ever! I honestly do not want to offend you and we have all made mistakes though I agree with Greytmate, Rebanne, Annie and the others, you need to put your energy into learning, experience, training, laws, legislation, dog handling and training, responsibly rehoming etc. Take on board advice and guidence from others who have been in the game for endless years. Even if you don't relate to it instantly, take it on board. I guarentee you will reflect and appreciate the advice at some stage. Oh I plan too take all of this in and try not to make mistakes but will be working with other rescues I have networked with and take their advice etc and work closely with them. Doesn't make sense to try to learn the ways of rescues that do things I dont agree with so will stick with the rescues that have the same goals and out look on things as I do if that makes sense. Like I said not taking in more dogs until everything is squared away and yes will leave the neighbors be if the dog continues to go batty I am sure other neighbors will complain but I don't have to deal with the dog much longer and even thinking that was bad on my part. You dont need a permit for 3 dogs here. Well I just came by to update on Lucky. No problem I will continue to live with the barking and whatever not my problem we are moving asap anyway so the dog can drive someone else nuts. So you have your update and all that jazz so everyone have a good Christmas and nice meeting you all.
