How tragic I am sorry that this happened to your buddy ... I can't imagine the shock you must be feeling.

Here where I live the temp is always 2-3 hotter than expected .... I am lucky that I work nightshift so they sleep during the day when I do , my housemate is always home but on the odd occasion we are both out they stay inside .. I usually have the drapes and blinds shut to keep it cool.

The shake off are hilarious ! The pool looks inviting ! we are getting your weather this week so i may have to resort to getting into the doggy pool :laugh:

Sasha my Kelpie is very very smart but not always in a good way :laugh: she knows how to wrap her paw around you! also Lacey my CKCS has it down pat! ... in the lounge they have one of those plastic roller containers that fit under your bed full of toys and every chance they get especially when you are distracted they will sit right next to it as if to say " we are being good mum!" also they get a treat every night and we give it to them after we have made a cuppa ... as soon as they hear me stirring it they race to my bedroom and sit on my bed patiently waiting for their treat :laugh: ... and omg those eyes! they always give you *that* look lol... almost making me feel they are so hard done by :laugh:

i am in SA too ....if I can help in any way please let me know . I can't have them here either as it's a 2 dog limit The poor wee things I wish I could do more. The RSPCA have a lot to answer to ... and people wonder why they are disliked so much

I have a apricot tree and between the two dogs and the birds i will be lucky if i get to try any! although I try to pick up what the birds drop because I don't want the dogs eating the stone.

My two get fed at 5pm on the dot! And by god if I am even a few minutes late there is hell to pay :laugh: it's the same with their breakfast!

I feed my two at night ... I feed them at 5pm so they have usually done all their business by the time I go to bed :) I also usually just give them a small handful of kibble for breakfast :)

My housemates Husky went to a eye Specialist and he put her on Optimune ... It's not cheap but it is compared to surgery, you also have to apply it religiously according to the Specialists recommended dose :)

Grass seeds are a PIA! I have to check my Cav 2-3 times a day because not only does she get grass seeds but I am pulling out bindis as well I rent so I have no choice it to check her everyday... She actually quite likes it because she ends up with a mini massage :laugh:

Sasha gets called Sashie washie or Sashie washie woo woo and Lacey gets called Lacey wacey woo woo

Wow the cheek of it! as others have said , my house, my dogs, my rules.... I just can't get over the arrogance of some people.

Hi Jules :) It's a real worry when they start ageing.. It's not good for the nerves when every little thing sends us in a panic. We have slate tiles in our hallway and Lacey lies on there when she is hot, it's been extremely hot for her . She suffers from the heat so I have been putting ice cubes in the drinking water. Take her to the vet if it continues even if it's just for your peace of mind :)

What size did you get? The small ones are tiny, I got the next size up from the small (can't remember if there were two or three sizes) and my pug loves it and carries it everywhere with her. I just looked at my order and I ordered the large I don't know why I ordered the large o.O they have ended up as a gift for a doggy friend so they won't go to waste :)
