  1. Where do people struggling with handling their dog's behaviour and in need of a trainer's help get the knowledge from to determine the type of training their dog needs? Wouldn't it be better to present the dog to a trainer to be assessed then discuss the training options most suitable?
  2. Do you know who owns the attacking dog and who the victim is otherwise the council won't do much with a 3rd party report unless the victim comes forward to lodge a complaint? Personally I think the choice to report lays with the victim and it may just be the incident to take the owner of the offending dog to the next level of responsibilty with a 2nd chance.........having said that, if the dog is "already" declared dangerous it doesn't appear that the responsibility that comes with the containment of a declared dog is sinking in?.
  3. Yes he was. He ran at us and repeatedly jumped up at me to get to Poppy. And he was all over her all the way home but not in a friendly way. He was silent the whole time but very intense and very intimidating. I'm still a bit shocked so I'm probably not explaining it very well (sorry) :) I would confirm the address where the dog ran out from then make a report to council. Dogs are not allowed to run out at people on the street and the council should follow that up with the owners with a warning to keep the dog in at least.
