Anyone have any idea what time the Aussies are on at the Sydney Royal this Thursday?
-
LOL when exactly does the chewing stage end ?

I noticed PB have special on at the moment for the Wellness CORE Grain Free and thought it might be worth a try, Beau normally gets BARF lamb patties (not cheap but handy) or if I have the time a RAW meal with meat, bones & offal. Thought it might be worth trying something different, has anyone had experience with these?

How To Train A Dog To Let Go Of A Toy!

Brilliant Jen, seems very similar to Steve but great video thanks. -
Sorry I really did not want this to turn into a breeder bashing session, am I disappointed it has taken so long to get the papers and that I have had to rely on the support & good will of other breeders over the last 12months YES. But as Steve said I have no idea what is going on at the other end and I know there are more important things in life. The only reason I raised it now was that I figured if the breeder was now in a position to have another litter then it wouldn't be unreasonable to ask for the papers & the one sided nature of the contact was frustrating... Our boy has such a great personality and temperament, he is so gentle around our boys and with the right training/work now an absolute joy for everyone to be around. This is a massive credit to the breeder and I guess what we really paid for, customer service would have been a bonus. I also genuinely wanted to know what a reasonable wait was, as Steve mentioned it can be upto 18months and it is clear others have had issues too.

No very short and succinct. A bit sad but we are very lucky to have some great support on the site.

Thanks everyone, brilliant news the papers are in the mail registered post according to a PM from breeder. We had been in contact with the executive officer of the states canine association who was making enquiries on our behalf. Glad you got them in the end minxy, sorry for you guys that never did, thanks for all the PM's. Will update once they arrive. ..

Just a quick question, I am keen to hear others experiences... We went through quite an extensive process when looking for our pup, a registered breeder, finding out about the breeder & questions for us etc. our Beau is wonderful but we have been waiting over 12months now for his documentation. The breeder has had a difficult time over the intervening period as I understand but has now bred another litter. We have been attempting to make contact through the original email address, the new email address, mobile numbers and PM's to no avail. I would just love to know what others think is a reasonable time to wait for the pedigree certificate or papers? What should we do from here? Can I also just say how thankful I am for the wonderful support we have had in raising our boy from a number of people on this forum, you know who you are...

Some great posts, very informative, we go for brisket when we can get it chicken wings or necks otherwise. Then the special Christmas present of your cartoon like beef thigh bone which was fully supervised and then taken away once the meat was gone and before it started to break down.

Beau is 15months and has been thriving on it ? Swayd any reason you wouldn't give it till 12/18months? Congrats Huski & the whole family.

We have been using the K9 SS for two months now with Beau and he loves it his coat looks fantastic despite the little affro "tapeau" he has on his bum. He did have a pretty heavy drop when he first started giving him bigger amounts. I agree with some of the other comments in that it does seem like a lot in his bowl but am assured it is the correct amount and he is thriving on it. Will post some before/after pic's. Might look into the Livamol too given he is a red this sounds interesting...

Our Aussie climbed out of the playpen on his very first night! We now have him securely in the laundry, it's a much smaller space and he settled a whole lot better at night time in there. He has the crate open, a day bed with some toys, a water bowl and a place for toileting. I also put him in there when I have to go out during the day. At other times when I can't give him my 100% attention or he is being too nippy with the kids, he goes into the crate for an hour. I'll always have him in the same area as be so he can see me.

Puppy Day!!! His flight doesn't arrive until 5:40pm, need to keep busy! Still can't decide on a name - Beau, Banjo, Red, Leo and Oscar are the favourites. I ended up buying the snuggle puppy from K9 Pro - heartbeat, heat pack and something to snuggle all in one!

Whoops, Melody has her own agenda huh?

Thanks for the suggestions!

You are organised! Raven....how cute!! Our aussie shepherd arrives tomorrow afternoon, he's flying in his own new crate. We've bought food, a collar and lead, toys, grooming stuff. His little bed should arrive today and i need to pick up some bowls, a ticking clock (where on earth do i buy one?) and a couple of blankets. My husband is building a playpen for him tonight. Excited!!
