Hey all! Im posting for my Dad. Mum has finally given him the OK to get a puppy! Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on British Bulldog Breeders? Its been years since we have had one, and i have made contact with a few breeders, but just wanted to see if there is anyone else who you would recommend! Thanks

I’ve also never had sedation first i let my old old girl go two Monday’s ago, she was unable to walk so we were sitting on the floor of the vets (they did ask if I wanted to move elsewhere but she was comfy and wasn’t in pain, so I left her) they gave her the needle as I held her head in my hands and she was gone in seconds I’ve had 3 dogs put to sleep and they all went the same way, peacefully in my arms

Orange RsPCA had just stopped taking strays too at this stage there is no council pound, strays are taken to the vet and if not picked up that day they are taken to an unknown kennel and no one knows what happens to them after that

Thank you everyone she was such a full on crazy dog, it’s so strange not having her tell me off over everything. my son asked if she was buried with my brother and could he visit her there and we are going to write her a letter on the weekend to say how much he misses her
-
I don’t even know what to say. 13 years she was a full on crazy dog who , up until Friday, never sat still she was diagnosed with lymphoma a few weeks ago and tore her cruciate on Friday. The vet and I decided today to let her go and not have her suffer anymore She has been with me for some of the hardest times of my life RIP old girl, you’re not in pain anymore and we love you so much
-
We are seeing the vet today at 3, she had a shocking night, was in a fair bit of pain and couldn’t get comfortable
-
Thanks her kidneys are failing too... she hasn’t got much going for her ive got her set up in the crate with a puppy pen around it in the kitchen, just enough room so if she needs to toilet she can get to the tiles and not use the crate. She is is putting a little more weight on her good back leg tonight... so who knows what’s going to happen she is fast asleep snoring now, hopefully she is out for the night
-
I don’t know either I’ll ring my vet Monday and have a chat to her and see what she says she is always great and tells me upfront what she thinks and what I should do
-
I just wish someone could tell me what to do hope that 6 weeks rest heals her enough to function until the lymphoma takes her (if it doesn’t get her before the 6 weeks is up) or let her go now? Her good old leg isn’t really able to support her, she can’t walk at all right now, she can’t be operated on, is it fair of me to crate her and put her on pain meds? Or should I go spoil her and let her go? this is the worst part of dog ownership, i was expecting to have to make the choice, but not like this
-
Yeah, I’m really stuck on what to do next
-
Kaos has just done her cruciate
-
Sure is Poor nick still has nightmares and doesn’t sleep this is going to bring everything back
-
Thanks sadly my kids know what death is so it is a little easier to explain but harder as they understand what ‘never ever seeing them again’ Means ill start saving photos and do a photo book for them thank you
-
Well she seems good today, she isn’t panting so it looks like the steroids are working at the moment
-
Thank you Tassie She is being spoilt and loved, I’m prepared for it to be fast the kids seem to know something is happening, I’m going to have to start to get them ready for her leaving us
-
Well she seems ok, very happy and eating fine, still panting a fair bit Hubby was watering the yard this morning and for the first time in her life, Kaos didn’t attack the hose she is also sticking to me like glue, so while she seems ok, I’m sure she isn’t feeling 100%
-
Ok well it’s 100% confirmed she also has some pretty bad kidney damage She started steroids tonight, vet is hopeful for 2 months, said 6 would be nice but to prepare for 1 we had 21 days between my brothers dog being diagnosed and her being PTS
-
I don’t think the silly old bird even knows anything is wrong with her!
-
I can’t believe I’m in here again with the same thing we lost my brothers dog to lymphoma and now Kaos has been diagnosed with it the last few days she has had the runs and panting a lot, 2 nights ago I found lumps under her neck. The vet took bloods and a sample of the lumps yesterday, while I’m still waiting for all the finer details, it is lymphoma we have already decided against chemo, so it’s just making sure she is comfortable and pain free
-
It’s been approved

Dog left in hot car dies ...dog walker sends txt message
Teebs replied to persephone's topic in In The News
I dont get this - i have lost many customers because i wont let their dogs off lead! Why the hell would you want someone that hardly knows your dog, to have them off lead? I also dont get walking more then one household of dogs and why they even need to go into a car? Why not just walk around the neighbourhood? So many people think pet sitting is a quick way to make money, but so much can go wrong and if you dont have someone who really cares, then who knows what would happen Forgotten baby syndrome is real and nothing like this, this lady was just lazy and in a hurry to make money and go and enjoy herself -
