  1. Need a warning up. Home alone. No lights on and just listened... May be staying on the lounge tonight! Too scared to move lol
  2. My sbt does the door thing, she sounds scary but she is just barking for pats. As for being tough. I had my niece here tonight, kaos walked in and saw the school bag in the middle of the room, took her 10 mins to get the courage to walk up to it  Crawled over on her belly growling at it lol
  3. I would go a sbt... And only because they are the best dogs In the world :) As for a dog park. You wouldn't see me near one, no matter what breed I owned
  4. Not if they get a Papered AmStaff Honestly, if you are asking these questions i would not be getting a dog right now. I lost my Bull Terrier a few months ago, in that time 2 litters have come up where i could have had a puppy from. I want a puppy, i miss my boy so much... but i have the What Ifs... What if the new puppy isnt the same... what if it is the same? What do i want? can i look at a new Bully and be happy or will it make me miss my boy more? I know eventually a puppy will come to live with us and we will be happy, but right now im not too sure. We are giving it till at least the middle of next year before thinking about getting another one... right now i would rather live with the regret of NOT getting one, then regret getting one and having 10+ years with a dog i am not happy with or a dog i couldnt do the right thing for at the start good luck with it all
  5. petbarn has an online store now you can get it from as well :) im guessing if its the same packaging then its the same item!
  6. I went last year and was amazed at the effort some people went to! Would love to go to another
  7. Cazzies creations I can't link on my phone but everytime I look at her painting of my dogs (one since passed away) my heart jumps into mr throat. Just amazing work
  8. Damn I hate 2 year old threads! Seems I was on the same train if thought back then, wish I thought of it sooner with my boy
  9. I wish I though of it with atlas. Someone suggested it after but it was too late. Had the vets asked I would have said yes
  10. No dogs and up to 4 cats. They all tend to stay away now, I don't sleep well and Toss and turn all night, cats see sick of me pushing them off so go into the lounge room If I'm having a bad night kaos sleeps under my bed until OH gets home
  11. My stafford would live her live in her crate. I have to bribe her to get out of it at times! I got home at 7 last night, let her in. She ran around like nuts for 10 mins. Hopped in her crate and I haven't seen her since She will wake about 6 or when my OH gets home too pee. Then back in till breakfast. Door is open at all times and she has run of the house. The only time she doesnt do this is when im having a bad night, she then sleeps under my bed till OH gets home then goes into the crate
  12. i see it all the time at work, some dogs are huge and it can be hard to tell the owners. Sad thing is, a lot already know how big their dog is... but then say 'but if i cut his food back he starves! So i just keep feeding him' All my pets are desexed. Atlas was the only one done later on (he was 3 years old) the rest were all done by 5 months. I have not really had any issues with weight, my british shorthair Sumo has always been a bit tubby, but hardly eats anything and i could never get him to move. Now the 1 year old is here, Sumo plays all the time and is looking good now.
  13. KAos has had Zero the almost one year old cat annoying her all day, he has been following her around pouncing on her and trying to catch her tail. Just walked out and she has the problem solved. Is sitting on him  He seems very happy there so im leaving them to it
  14. I was going to say the same. While my boy was very fast between showing symptoms and being told what the issue is, what OP has posted is exactly how he was acting He had PKD with his kidneys shutting down and and autoimmune disease.
  15. thats right! I remember that one!
  16. It is a nice thread. Thanks for starting it :)
  17. I'm not sure if slack is a strong enough word ;) me either  I got all mine back before anyone else. I was going for a job and needed my Cert, i called every day and think they finally just marked it all and sent me my Cert to get rid of me

    Rip Baby Boy

Just remember as hard as it is, to treat the other dogs the same. My worst problem was babying Kaos, i caused more issues. Now i treat her exactly the same (but with more inside time) she has adjusted fine.
  19. I would have a big main yard with 3 dog yards in there. One for mum and dads dog when they go away, and 2 for my own dogs (kaos and puppy next year) I would also have a big cat run that could be split in two so mum and dads cat could also say with us when they are aways. From there i would have another yard with 3 runs and do Bull Terrier rescue. I dont want to save hundreds of dogs, just one or two at a time would be enough for me :)
  20. These are my kids.. miss them all so much, even after 20 years since we lost the first Suzie the Boxer, myself and my brother. Suzie and my brother have both left us now. (My other brother wasnt in the photo because a bird crapped on his head just before we took it and he went inside upset  ) Mum and dad got Suzie when the boys were about 2 years old... twin boys and a boxer... i will leave it to you guys to work out how untrained she was  We then got Major who went missing, came home one day and he was gone, other dog still in the yard, we never found out what happened Then Zeus (same time as Major) who started my love with the bull breeds. He was PTS when he was 14 Just after we lost Major and before we lost Zeus we got Duke - Dads British Bulldog, I got a call one morning saying he was in the back yard dead, He had heart issues. He was 8 years old and 2 weeks And lastly is my man, my first ever dog of my own. Who sent me crazy and had me in tears most obedience lessons because he just wouldnt do anything. He ate everything he could and God i miss him so much Atlas, who i lost on the 31st July this year, he died in my arms while trying to open the vets doors due to an Auto immune issue. He was 3 weeks to the day off his 9th birthday. I still walk into the back yard expecting to see him and still yell out his name when one of the other pets are doing something wrong (poor boy, he was always in trouble) RIP my dogs, I hope you are all up there with each other having a ball. We will meet again

I still blame myself for Atlas, so many What ifs i am working on dealing with it and understanding that there is nothing i could have changed it, but its hard and it just sucks both so young, its just not fair
