hey guys im moving back to perth and will be back mid Feb. any plans for a meet? theresadn, heck out petcity or city farmers, or look on ebay

my OH never grew up with dogs or had anytrhing to do with them, always liked them but didnt have the time for them due to travelling and working. When he met me he knew i came with 2 dogs (take it or leave it) and how much apart of my life they are. He has paid for a lot of things for them (flys to and from perth to sydney and return) plus extras for living in a rental with them. He does adore Sunnie and thought misha would be a nightmare to live with but now he cant live without them!

Thanks anyway, just paid for them to go back jet pets anyway!

Is anyone flying Sydney to Perth before xmas that can take my beagle back to perth? You wont have to do anything, all drop off pick ups arranged.

I was in the same situation as you were about 2 years ago. We had been together for 7 years, engaged, had 2 dogs and 2 houses. I was very lucky as i have great parents who took me and the dogs bakc. He was also the same as your partner, he did love them but didnt really go out of his way to walk (unless i asked him) or feed them. We did have the discussion about the dogs and he realised that yes he did want them but he didnt want the responsibility. He enjoyed his travelling and living where ever he wanted (that wasnt dog friendly) I did end up with both dogs. I think you just need to sit down your your partner/ex and have the chat, if you do decide to split the dogs up..they will survive and try something different if they are home all day, like a dog walker or dog day care. if you need any advice feel free to PM me

Hi Guys im looking for a dog training club that does training on a Saturday around Balmain/Rozelle area but am willing to travel about 15 minutes. All the ones ive looked at seem to be on a Sunday. thanks for the help!

Excellent topic!! Everything everyone has said about their Leo is very very true! My Girl is from http://www.members.optusnet.com.au/marjen/ a breeder in VIC, i am based in Perth (but moving to NSW) I also have a beagle and a cavalier. My beagle and Leo are best of friends, they play together all the time and keep each other company. Misha (leo) has learnt to be gentle with SUnnie (beagle) She will sometimes get a bit rough but he will tell her off. Misha is definetly my shadow, has to know where i am and then she will relax. She has been fine in any situation i have put her in, if its with kids or with grandparents she is always great. Of course she has her moments of being nuts but 99% of the time she is perfect. I find she will also pick up on my moods as well, if im sick she has to be right next to me, literally laying on my feet. Brushing and grooming is a lot of work but i find if you stay ontop of it then you are ok. They definetly arent a wash and wear dog like i find with my beagle. I do have to vacuum every few days so i dont get tumble weeds as well. She is great with dogs at the park, has never had a growl or started a fight but i did socalise her when she was young and also did a lot of obdience as well. I think the grooming out weights what a great dog they are, i definetly will never be without a leo..they sure make an impression!

Great topic, i am moving from Perth to Sydney and have been doing research with organising my leonberger and beaglex to fly over. I seemed to have found that it will be cheaper to fly them excess luggage with me and my partner. I will also probably hire crates for both of them.
