Simple answer is to remove them. http://www.majorgeeks.com/Malwarebytes_Anti-Malware_d5756.html will get a lot of dodgy toolbars.

Sheridan, a few other runs had "EOI pending behavioural assessment" on them, so I assume so? Unless they only do it for dogs they think need it. megan_, I mentioned he didn't seem like the friendliest dog in the world - but it's not my place to. You only had to walk past his run to elicit this response. I shouldn't need to inform them.

Blacktown can't be a no kill shelter. There is a very human aggressive dog there now. Unsure if it is still there, back block. I'm not a beginner in dog behaviour - this dog was one of the few "red zone" aggressive dogs I have seen. If my finger went through the mesh, I'd have lost it. No idea how it passed the behavioural assessment - but it was up for EOI.

I don't actually know MN - so do you think she has got herself in this bother because she tried to go to far to quickly? Or was it this way from the start?
-
You've got a virus or some kind of malware. It's got nothing to do with petrescue. Run a full scan using windows defender.
-
It should be, because none of the photos I've seen show any neglect or issues of any kind. Unethical practices however, sure. Raising for dogs that they don't have and are not providing care for. Re-homing dogs to inappropriate homes. etc...

Are they? Who is investigating?

That depends though - ethically you'd hope this is the case but legally is it so? I have no idea. I won't donate to anyone I don't know. I remember an article on Invisible Children, and it said something about how only a very small % of the overall donations they received for the Kony 2012 campaign legally had to be used as a part of that campaign. It makes me think there are some strange laws surrounding fund raising for specific purposes?

The pound I did some security at around 6 years ago had a radio triggered by barking, when the dogs barked the radio turned on. It seemed to work well.

Hottest Day In Sydney Today On Record 45.8 Degrees!
Sparassidae replied to labadore's topic in General Dog Discussion
I caught a train into the city at around 5.30pm - it was ridiculous. The 30 minute train took 90 minutes, with no air conditioning. Coming home at about 10.30-11pm wasn't much better, my train broke and the back half had no power, return trip probably took almost 2 hours due to delays. --- The heat was insane, we went out to Yarramundi for a swim. Thankfully huskies cope really well in heat so the two huskies stayed at home and we just took the dally who thought she was dying. Didn't help when the cars aircon kept failing due to the heat :p -
Chrome plating is actually used a lot in yachting now - these are boats that are almost permanently in the ocean. Good chrome plating can last a bloody long time, it's come a long way. Cheap chinese knock offs use decorative chrome plating, compared to hard chrome plating. I wouldn't be concerned with using chrome plated supplies assuming they're a decent brand, and use proper hard coating techniques which HS do use. Hard chromium plating was specifically designed to prevent oxidisation from occuring - the part of stainless steel that prevents it from rusting is the chromium content which is usually around 10%.

Good find on that one, I'll head out there next week and get some Roo and Chicken, will report back on quality.

It's only corrosive in powdered form. As a liquid, it is not an oxidiser. http://www.pharmacal...MSDSVirkonS.pdf

F10 without a doubt, it's what reptile breeders and handlers use. Reptile owners tend to be a lot more hygiene aware than most dog owners. Bleach is an oxidiser, it'll cause almost all metals to rust. It'll be fine on plastic. I do use bleach to clean our rabbit bowls quite frequently (and a relatively strong mixture) but I wouldn't make a habit of using it on crates.

Training Dogs Not To Kill Chickens - Advice Please

I don't understand tying them around the neck. My dogs would roll in the dead animal and try and eat pieces of it? -
What Do You Feed When You Run Out Of 'normal' Food?
Sparassidae replied to a topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I'm incredibly poorly organised, but our dogs don't have a set diet. I usually just get whatever meat is on sale. For the next 4 days they're getting Kangaroo as it was marked down. After that it'll be something else. -
Training Dogs Not To Kill Chickens - Advice Please

I'd use an e-collar, I used one on my second husky and a husky I was looking after for recall and to remove their desire to chase our chooks. It worked wonders. My husky still has his recall and I probably haven't had an e-collar on him in about 3 years. I'd be confident in saying 100% recall. -
I feed our two a pretty mixed diet, usually whatever I feel like buying. Always raw, mix of lamb, chicken, beef, fish.

Pet Dogs More Friendly Than Frightening When Put To The Test
Sparassidae replied to Leema's topic in General Dog Discussion
I actually think the dog trainer did a great job, and did simulate some fear in his actions. My previous working dog was intentionally trained NOT to protect property (though unfortunately, he probably would). I don't want my dogs biting someone because they tried to steal my lawn mower. -
OHhh, and the best buckles I've ever seen are the Herm Sprenger ones. I'll take a photo later today. I bought my leashes in a leash + collar set for the buckles, removed the collars and use them with a prongs just because the buckles are awesome. The more force on them the stronger they hold.

Anyone who tapes a snakes mouth shut whilst live is incredibly cruel. A dog can theoretically eat a snakes head without being harmed. Snake avoidance training isn't really that hard, the concept is quite basic. When you want to proof around live snakes it becomes hard as you need to look out for the welfare of the dog and the snake. I'd consider moving to a live snake only once I'd done everything I could with dead ones/scent etc. I'd also cool my snake down to slow it down. Just remember, no amount of avoidance training will prevent a bite from a snake the dog doesn't see or smell.

Are you worried about leads and collars breaking and your dog getting loose? Leather leashes with a brass swivel won't break and fursaver long link chain collars are super strong. When I was working my GSD I went through 3 agitation collars before finding one that was strong enough. He snapped 2, luckily at training. So leather leashes and collars, even heavy duty ones, can break. ETA: Mine were NOT from k9pro though. Just making that clear, they're from a supplier who was local to me. My best leash was made for me from a horse place. My little sister bought me it. Nfi how much it was but I bet she went over my $50 budget.

You've done the research - you know the answer to your question. So I'll respond to your question with another question. Why not use a prong collar over another collar?
-
It should be relatively obvious when and why they are used. I use one on my Husky, he doesn't need it. He doesn't even pull. But he can slip collars, I'm not blowing money on a "soft" martingale when I can simply put one of my existing prong collars on him. In his old age he has developed some weird fears, like sunbeams. He doesn't like beams of light, I discovered this when he stopped walking and I kept walking and his collar came straight off his head. Kind of awkward, luckily he has a recall (perfect as well) but I'd rather have his leash attached when on a main road.

Building Towns That Are "no-dog-zones"
Sparassidae replied to bdierikx's topic in General Dog Discussion
There used to be more than 140 there... Populations there are declining. The development has been approved, it can't be stopped. Even if banning dogs in that area saves 5 Koalas a year then it's a worthwhile compromise. Greytmate - I agree, I think you should be restricted in the way houses are built but then I also think there should be limits on the amount of concrete etc used in developments.
