  1. then why was that stupid post directed at me what was wrong with what i said.
  2. I said nothing of the sort so why was that silly post directed at me doesnt make much sense.
  3. nic you seem to have a real attitude what in my post could you find so frustrating
  4. Big or small who cares they are all dogs. owners should insure that thier dog behaves regardless of the size. In saying that a person with a large or say a buull breed owner like me should also exept they do have a extra resposiblity because the consequences can be so much greater. I understand that being a staffordshire bull terrier owner( even though he is the most easy going dog around) I must be aware that if he does become involved in a fight the chance of him inflicting damage on another dog is greater then if a little maltese was in his place. Anyways why do these threads allways decend into big vs small its getting old.
  5. I think Mjosa is spot on. We had a similar situation when we minded a friends entire male pug. As our staff pup reached around six months the pug would constantly mount my little guy. I was forced to start stepping in as i could see my staff becoming more and more frustrated. He even turned and barked at the pug one of the first times i herd him bark and the only time i have seen hime react to a dog that way. closely monitor dont let it go to far. They will sort themselves out eventually. My friends pug and my little fella get on like a house on fire now with the pug seemingly taken on the top spot betwen the two.
  6. I think you misunderstod me relax i wasnt having a go at anyone its just been a bit of a theme lately these sad stories thats all i was saying,
  7. Your full of positve stories today dogmad wish there was a bit more positive news around.
  8. my little guy was around 13 kilos at that age give or take a kilo depending what time he was weighed. He is almost 15 months now and 19 kilos and fighting fit. More important to me then weight he is in perfect praportion no oversized head or keg on legs here.
  9. fair point sheridan you are right you are purchasing the dog in both instances no argument here .
  10. ha ha its pritty funny on here sometimes. Damn my PETA cover has been blown shouldnt have done those naked ads
  11. Sorry what AR shite have i ever said and infact anyone said in any of these posts and as a pedigree dog owner i have as much right being on here as anyone . All that was posted is the fact rescue is a option for some people and the poster had people jumpig down there throat, where is the AR shite in that fair dinkum. Some people are on another planet.
  12. Watch out for the AR"s under the bed with their brainwashing machine really cmon sometimes this place is over the top. I own a pedigree dog and im happy in that decision but some of the garbage posts a few pages back shocked me attacking people making the choice to rescue is obscene why would you attack that option wake up to yourselfes.
  13. I really dont dislike any animal to be honest. Why would you dislike croc's doesnt mean i want to give one a cuddle but they are amazing animals, rats and mice same deal. I think many people would be surprised how many foxes live in and around surburbia watched a doco not long ago from great britain on foxes making their lives in the city. They have adapted pritty well to the modern world pritty clever little animal.
  14. Ha ha righto wings that is your prejudice got nothing to do with the nature of the fox. this place is ment to be a animal lovers forum.
  15. Read my posts i to beieve unfortunatly that a cull is needed they obviously dont belong in australia thats not the point the fact is they are no more vile then amy other animal. As unpleasent as it may be the tongue is a fav for many carnivores I know it seems cruel to us and im sorry that you have had to deal with this but its nature, anyways lets just agree to disagree. Poor old fox not there fault they were brought over here.
  16. Wings i completly understand why you would be angry and upset but doesnt change the fact that they are no more vile as you put it then any other animal. You telling me as a dog owner you have never witnesed a dog catching a lizard or bird and killing it or maming it then not eating it and maybe even playing with the body are all pet dogs then by your definition vile
  17. Its pritty sad that they could have a outlandish policy like this its just beyond any logic.
  18. no points missed here they are carnivores they kill to survive nature isnt all butterflys and roses. i dont agree that humans should just expand where we like and wipe out every animal that poses even the slightest threat to ourselves and our livelyhoods ie agriculture. Trying to demonise a animal for just doing what it does is not helpful. In australia they are not native they pose a real threat to native fauna therefore a humane cull is unfortunatly neccesary. They have as much right to exist in their native habitat as a koala has here in aus.
  19. "Foxes are sneaky vile little critters" what a stupid comment really wats wrong with people. Foxes are actually are a very intelligent adaptable animal no more vile then any other animal in the wild trying to survive. Though they are obviously a problem in australia a ecosystem where they dont belong and i think culling is a neccesary evil and this approach does seem to be the best out there at the moment.
  20. LOL great posts everyone love ferrets they crack me up so much animal in that small package and all the birdies and even a eel keep them coming.
  21. So today my mrs and i are out doing the front lawn when she dropped what she was doing and ran for the front door. i had no idea what was going on she rushed in picking up one of our birds takeing it back to its cage. Turns out one of our nutty lorikeets managed to let itself out of its cage and as it has clipped wings trotted its way down the hallway to where our twelve month old staffy was laying down watching us do the lawn. we have no idea how long they were at the door together. Girlfriend just saw something colourful at the door and wonderd what it was. The cheeky bird was completely unharmed and seemed happy as larry. Got to say im shocked at my little staffy's self control though knowing this bird i probably should have checked the dog first lorikeets pack a mean bite and can be firey little buggers. Anyways Maybe other people might have similar stories they can share.
  22. this forum is like days of our lives sometimes dont know why all the drama is needed. its why i read and seldom post.
  23. You know nothing of the dog exept for this one incident where luckily no dog was killed. we have no idea why it has been declared dangerous therefore we shouldnt speculate. We only know of this one incident and it doesnt warrent a dog to be pts maybe the owners but tnot the dog (just kidding, sort off) anyways thats my opinion you have yours.
  24. Though i do agree the owner should be held responsible for allowing the dog to escape there is no excuse for that
  25. "Dog needs to be PTS and owner fined massively. I couldn't care what breed it is. People are making stupid assunptions" Thats a pritty big assumption aswell with absolutely zero knowledge of the dogs hystory we have decided it needs to be PTS anyways hopefuly the little dogs are fully ecovered and the lady wasnt to upset from the obviously scary situation.
